The volume of things that it catches that are important is high. The benefit so far has been that we haven't had any serious compromises as a result of phishing attempts or malicious attachments that came through.
It certainly keeps our users' inboxes clean.
The fact that we haven't had any serious security incidents related to malicious attachments is a testament to the solution's impact on our organization positively.
It saves us a good amount of time, which has impacted our team's workload and our organization's security posture overall.
In my experience, the best feature of Proofpoint Enterprise DLP is quarantine management, and the thoroughness of the solution is appreciated.

If one is looking for a bulletproof solution, then Proofpoint Enterprise DLP is the answer.
I feel confident enough in the solution's effectiveness in detecting and preventing threats through the analysis of email content and user behavior that I would choose to keep it, even if we switch to Microsoft E5 licenses, and we have had no incidents to speak of related to malicious attachments or malware infections.
I don't really see the unified platform aspect of Proofpoint Enterprise DLP as unified. It's an additional layer, and we are okay with that additional layer of security.

What is our primary use case?
My main use case for Proofpoint Enterprise DLP is security, cybersecurity, as well as insider threat management.
If someone is trying to send an email that contains credit card information or a SIN number or some identifying sensitive information, Proofpoint is able to analyze it and either block or alert.
Proofpoint Enterprise DLP provides continuous monitoring, alerting, blocking, as well as analyzing emails and traffic, and also protecting any sensitive data across email.
Especially when an employee is leaving the organization, we set up additional alerts on the user to see if there is any data being infiltrated out. Also, any incidents where malicious email was detected, we can check if there was any suspicious activity across sensitive data on their email.
We have been leveraging the email DLP for quite some time, and we have not had any incidents per se, but the alerting has helped us coach our users in better use of sensitive data.

Proofpoint Enterprise DLP has a cloud native design and is focused on protecting user emails by analyzing their behavior as well as protecting sensitive data.
Proofpoint Enterprise DLP is under the same umbrella as Proofpoint email protection, so my security team does not have to go to multiple dashboards or multiple consoles to review or investigate incidents. The alerting capabilities are very strong, and we are very happy with the solution.
Proofpoint Enterprise DLP is very effective in detecting and preventing data loss based on the policies, the privacy controls, and its unified console, which makes it very easy for my team. From a user perspective, they get notifications if certain actions happen in their email.
We have used the automatic classifiers, and it has worked very well in classifying personally identifiable data, as well as credit card information, SIN numbers, certain data tags, and other sensitive information.

Proofpoint Enterprise DLP could be improved by also providing DLP solutions at the endpoint level where they can monitor sensitive data on the endpoints and its flow across the endpoint, email, as well as the internet.

Proofpoint Enterprise DLP is a very stable product. The support has been very good if we ever ran into any issues. Given the single console for managing the entire Proofpoint portfolio solution, as well as managing policies and the privacy controls, it has been a very stable and productive tool.

Proofpoint Enterprise DLP is very scalable to any size organization, from small, medium to large. Given the cloud approach, the solution is very scalable.

The customer support for the solution has been very good and positive. We have had good experiences dealing with the support.

Proofpoint was our first enterprise DLP solution.
How was the initial setup?
The setup cost was minimal. Proofpoint helped us in providing coaching and training in the initial setup, and then my team was able to define and set up policies and alerting based on that.
What about the implementation team?
It was a good experience working with our account executive in negotiating the pricing and licensing.
What was our ROI?
Our return on investment was primarily on time saved for my security team. This allowed us to coach and train our users in managing their risky behaviors, as well as the alerting capabilities, which were superior and helped free up my team's time to focus on other important tasks.

Proofpoint Enterprise DLP is an advanced modern DLP solution compared to traditional DLP tools, given the fact that it can analyze user risk in emails, as well as from an endpoint perspective. I would highly recommend Proofpoint Enterprise DLP.

One of the main reasons that our customers seem to be using Proofpoint Enterprise DLP is for email security and also the built-in training features.
Proofpoint Enterprise DLP is absolutely used to prevent phishing and data mining, which most of the customers I work with really appreciate. The training features that are built in allow them to customize for each agent's specific needs.

The threat detection is really excellent with Proofpoint Enterprise DLP and the way that it is able to see the threats before they become or before they enter the company is remarkable.

I didn't hear anything specific about how Proofpoint Enterprise DLP has impacted my customers' organizations positively, but everybody seems very satisfied. My customers have never mentioned feeling more confident or secure after deploying Proofpoint Enterprise DLP or experiencing fewer incidents. I give this review a rating of 10.
