Asana for project management
What do you like best about the product?
It is good to be able to attach documents and copy and paste information sent by email directly in the tasks. I also like that I can clearly see the comment history and know where things have progressed or the status of the project.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some flaws in the functions of the assistance task, but it has improved or we have improved in maintaining a good management of it. I would like there to be a better function of copying and pasting for tasks and assigning them to save time and be more efficient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has helped our organization to keep the deadlines and task management for the team in order. We used to use Google Docs and this allows us to have a good record of the assigned tasks and the information they contain. You do not have to look in emails to find details.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend this product to all the companies of my colleagues because it has helped our company to be more organized and responsible from the point of view of the administration. We are clearly assigned to the elements and have a history or creation date, and the information can be easily entered into the tasks.
Asana - works collaboratively
What do you like best about the product?
Excellent platform, with which I can manage many projects at once, it allows me to be up to date with the activities, it is very flexible and can be adapted to any work area, it has excellent complements, something that I like very much Asana are its notifications since they let me know when an activity is about to expire.
What do you dislike about the product?
Something I do not like is that its interface is not very customizable, also on occasion and depending on the internet connection it becomes a bit slow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helped me and my colleagues to work more efficiently and quickly, since we focused on the most punctual activities to finish on time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Excellent tool that should not be missing in a work team.
Great for Organization
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is great for organizing your daily/weekly tasks that are time sensitive. We use them for requests from our customers and I can easily tag each task for different programs and with different customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
It could use a better search function, especially when pertaining to contacts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using this to make sure no customer requests fall through the cracks. All the requests I receive are logged and once they are all cleared, I'll know I can move on with something else.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it out with employees that have to juggle a lot of small tasks that can easily fall by the wayside if bombarded.
Drop your currently workflow app
What do you like best about the product?
Let's begin with the incredibly user friendly UI. I loved Trello because of how intuitive it is. Asana is just as intuive, but at an enterprise level. Really easy to use platform to handle virtually every aspect of your business.
What do you dislike about the product?
nothing that I can think of so far. They've got an IOS app as well, so I have access to it on the go.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
on-boarding clients - seeing when they came on board, where we are in the process, when they should be out of on-boarding, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get a demo and switch if you can figure out a way to tailore the platform around your needs.
Really good and simplified shared Task management
What do you like best about the product?
Simple and easy to understand user interface integrate with a work team system where you can coolaborate with your coworkers and share tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
It needs a bit more of project management principles (goals, milestones, ect)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
IT Department projects of a Security Company.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The free version is more than enough for a small team of employees (1-10). Task management and notifications between coworkers is the best feature along with an easy to use user interface and easy registration to the product. You can just sing in with a google account for this and invite other coworkers via email. If you are more into working with a traditional project management format tht uses goals and milestones, Asana free version does not implement this feature yet. Hope they implement it along with some traditional project management charts, like Gannt Charts for instance.
Easy to use task manager
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to use. I can assign tasks within my team by project and importance and check them off when they are done. It’s a quick, efficient way to keep everyone on task.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven’t really found anything I dislike yet. There was 1 day Asana was down most of the day and it was very inconvenient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used to use Google Drive and it was very cumbersome and time consuming. Asana has made project management so much more efficient for our whole team.
Managing projects efficiently
What do you like best about the product?
Today I want to talk to you about a wonderful tool, easy to use, with a friendly interface and extremely powerful, it is Asana. Asana is nothing more than a web-based project manager, which allows you to structure your projects by dividing them into tasks (which would be the stages or cycles of it) and in turn within these tasks, it allows you to add subtasks that would be the steps to carry out to fulfill or complete those cycles. The tool also allows you to measure the management of the people to whom the projects or tasks were assigned, and I must highlight the integration it has with another powerful tool like Instagantt.
What do you dislike about the product?
In my particular case, there is little I can say against Asana, since as I mentioned before, I find the tool to be very complete and powerful, and the truth is that I feel very satisfied the times I have used it. In the market, there are many tools that serve for project management, but in my opinion, Asana is the most complete of all, which is why the largest companies in the world use Asana to manage their projects, companies like Google, Facebook, Apple, among others.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
At a corporate level, Asana provides endless solutions, starting with the fact that it allows a person or organization to structure their projects in the best possible way, so that they are executed within the established timeframes. Additionally, as I mentioned before, it also allows you to measure the management of the people to whom you have assigned projects. In this sense, it is aided by the integration it has with Instagantt, because Instagantt shows you graphically what Asana shows you by tasks, in the form of a Gantt chart, and in this way, you can see the progress of a specific project or a specific person.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For now, I don't have any major recommendations, other than try Asana.
Organization glory
What do you like best about the product?
I love how clearly everything is laid out and how easy it is to collaborate with other employees using this system.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love an embedded excel or word platform, but I can still upload my work into asana for sharing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can prove my deadlines are kept and when I worked on things to my employer..I work remotely.
Master To-Do List to Keep Tasks Organized & On Track!
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite thing about Asana is clicking the check mark next to a task! But really, Asana helps keep all of my tasks well organized so that I never have to think twice about missing anything. Easily set due dates or assign to team members. Edit descriptions and add tags, and also organize separate to-do lists.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that could improve is a notification system for changes to task descriptions. Email notifications are received when due dates are changed, tasks are completed, or tasks are commented on. These emails are helpful, but can also sometimes get lost in inboxes and over looked as something that didn't need attention. It would be more helpful if notifications were pinged to a certain user, and if those notifications also included changes to task "descriptions"
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is our team's master to do list for everything from supplies that need to be ordered, to emails that need to be sent, to what order needs to be produced on which day.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is an awesome tool for managing tasks and getting stuff done!
Asana - The Perfect Solution For our Non-Profit
What do you like best about the product?
Asana was very simple to setup and get everyone on board. It gave our Executive Director the ability to hold individuals responsible for the tasks that they had taken on and took our organization to the next level. Instead of talking, we started doing. I myself found the ability to see that others were actually working on projects and making progress (whereas previously all I had seen was shortcomings in our weekly meetings) motivated me to step up my game and deliver better output on my end. Asana was a true blessing for our organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am yet to find a single item that I dislike about Asana. For our needs, which are relatively limited given the size and scope of our operations, Asana is beautiful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have used Asana at leftrightstraight.org to organize projects such as clubhouse renovations, a fitness program, fundraisers and a multitude of veteran "adventures." The true benefit of this has been that the Executive Director can delegate tasks using what is essentially a template as the process for setting up most of the events is relatively the same, allowing him to spend more time growing our resources through grants and organizing new outreach programs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There are products that are more all-inclusive for larger scale operations that integrate accounting, sales, etc... Asana is great for simply collaborating and project management, especially within a small infrastructure.
