Asana’s Customization, Automations, and Outlook Integration Are Huge Time-Savers
Reviewed on Jun 19, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I love that you can customize your project so you can easily track progress and see which tasks are blocking others. The automations help a ton, too. Using forms to create structured data requests was a game-changer! The integration with Outlook allowing you to create a task directly from an email and to have the email body copied as comment = time-saver!
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel that because it’s so customizable, people can get confused and end up not using it the way they should, which makes the app feel a bit useless. We’re trying to get new members of our team to learn Asana through the e-learning courses so we can use it in an efficient, consistent way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps to show teammates that when they don’t complete a task, it can block the rest of the project from moving forward. We recently added dependencies to our tasks (blocked by/blocking), and it’s made it easier for people to understand how a project is supposed to flow—and why, at times, it doesn’t.

Intuitive, Real-Time Project Boards That Save Our Small Team Hours

What do you like best about the product?
It is great for our small marketing team to stay on top of projects. The board view makes it easy to see all of the tasks in one view.
I was able to draft code in Claude to create a recurring list of tasks, which I then imported into Asana to build out a series of projects in minutes.
The desktop app is seamless and updates in real time.
It is affordable for small businesses and more than pays for itself in time saved.
I have not had to use Support because it is so intuitive.

Color-Coded Boards and Tags Make Project Tracking Easy
Reviewed on Jun 18, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Separate boards for each team member and client. Color coordinated and easy to add tags to each project, and make parent/child tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Each time it opens a board, it shows all tasks rather than the ones that need to be completed. It also has a lag time in notifications at times (about half a day)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management across many teams. It's helping things stay on track, but wish that it notified people in the app/via email of their overdue tasks to try and motivate them to complete before the end of day.
