Really great platform - 10/10 would recommend!
What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to search for information. AlphaSense really lets you use targeted words and searches to best find the information you need. My favourite feature of the platform is perhaps how it will only show you sources that have your two words 10-15 words apart. This lets you get rid of all the noise that you get on traditional platforms like Google, and helps you focus on a single source better.
Another great feature is the ability to export charts/graphics directly into excel. This had made my life so much easier when copying over numbers, and it removes a certain margin of error which is exactly what I'm looking for in a platform.
The team is great as well, and has always been super helpful when I have questions.

What do you dislike about the product?
A lot of different sources can sometimes make it hard to find the best information, but this is honestly more of a pro than a con regardless. Some features of the platform can be a bit confusing, but the AlphaSense team is always ready on hand to give you a demo if you so need. Sometimes there can be a bit of noise on AlphaSense as well, so it's important to select the right filters to get what you're looking for!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easier to research and find niche information, especially on a certain industry. This has been so helpful especially when copying over information due to their export feature.

What do you like best about the product?
My top three:
1. Best Text Search: AlphaSense's search deep into documents even embedded tables is super powerful.
2. Broadest Company Universe: Reach to many OUS countries - including Japan - have really impressed me vs. previous platforms I used.
3. Delivery on promises - when I joined AlphaSense 8 months ago they said they would expand entitlements with more investment banks' sell side research teams and they have - bringing over some of the strongest teams like BAML

What do you dislike about the product?
I would say it is expensive but the price is lower than competitive offerings.
My only gripe right now is that fine tuning the email alerts was not very straightforward. But this is largely on me since I set them up once and haven't endeavored to fix them to reduce inbox hits.

I am reading management commentary to investors in great detail to inform my employers' strategic path forward.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to perform Google like searches on corporate documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
The notes functionality could be a lot better (speed, consistency, etc.)

I use it to identify corporate trends. It is a great service for my goals.

Market research, document retrieval, reviewing regulatory filings / press releases.
Alphasense is a one stop shop for all my external perception needs.
What do you like best about the product?
Quick, smart way to get to the relevant reports as well the most relevant sections within each. All top analysts are included within my subscription which really helps me get to the right insights in near real time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes hard to find reports based on keyword search - usually too many results that requires painstaking effort. Occasionally, I get a whole bunch of random results that are practically meaningless to my search. Also, it isn't super intuitive to narrow down search results - feels a bit clumsy.

Great platform, saves so much time!
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy the website is to use. With the search options, it's easy to narrow down the list to find exactly what you're looking for quickly. I love that you can search easily within documents with keywords.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is so much information, that sometimes looking at one screen with that much information can be overwhelming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to quickly find answers with basic search functions. It saves me so much time and makes downloading my notes and documents reviewed easy.
Intuitive, User Friendly Product with Great Customer Support
What do you like best about the product?
AlphaSense has a great search feature to quickly locate any mention of specific topics within documents, press releases, and transcripts.
What do you dislike about the product?
AlphaSense can be very slow to load at times and even at the best of times doesn't have great latency.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
AlphaSense enables me to quickly and easily research companies, find historical data points or past management commentary, locate facts and figures within company reports, download reports for later review, and download data to excel for my own use. One of my favorite tools on AlphaSense is the ability to highlight sections and take notes directly in the document so that I can easily find things later on that are important or that I would like to remember for future research. AlphaSense has significantly increased my productivity and efficiency by allowing me to search through documents more effectively compared to the search feature on FactSet that I used to use (although I intend to try the new Document Search feature in FactSet to see if it has improved).

Has made searching for topics or keywords and tracking sentiment across multiple quarters and document types.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a live transcript option for earnings calls, though they are normally up pretty quick.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smart search looks for topics or similar words for what I'm looking for, rather than having to match specifically, saving a lot of time and cuts down on things I might have missed

Definitely worth the investment to improve timeliness and improve depth of search.

What do you like best about the product?
Search feature is best in class, much better than CapIQ.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tool is pricy. At $5K per person per year we are paying the same as CapIQ despite having an equity data terminal with latter.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Finding hard to find data. For example, if someone wanted to find same store sales within Walmart it would take forever looking this up in CapIQ. Mainly by manually opening up PDF one by one. With AlphaSense tool all information is brought up one easy to use panel.
Helpful and easy to use resource
What do you like best about the product?
Keyword searches that run concurrent to company searches help the results to be easily reviewed for the most relevant information as it is highlighted. Also, the live help team are very responsive and have always helped to resolve any issues promptly. I also appreciate that is a single source for company filings, transcripts, analyst reports versus having to seek these in multiple sources.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some delays in the posting of materials. Entitlements not actively managed without requesting. Also, sign in is required with full username/password at each access.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Financial information is easy to find along with transcripts of investor events which are a real timesaver compared to listening to the entirety of the event. Also, I can develop an idea of whether there is consensus or controversy surrounding certain topics which is helpful with risk assessment.
