AlphaSense

My main use case for AlphaSense  is that it's a very easy-to-use tool because of its intuitive and user-friendly interface. It facilitates faster, deeper workflows. I use this mostly for research and idea screening. I get the most benefit in deep-dive research where normally it's difficult to be able to find niche details or information that help me with thesis, iteration, and risk analysis. AlphaSense 's ability to help me sort through this data via the GenAI, GenAI search, as well as grid has greatly improved my workflows and productivity.

We use AlphaSense to research companies for corporate development and other purposes. It's very helpful to use the expert calls and transcript summaries to quickly get a deep understanding of a company. You can also use the dashboard and updates to keep track of companies you want to follow.

The best features AlphaSense offers are expert calls, summarizing earnings calls, giving an overview of the company, its ownership, employee count, and revenue.

It's also very helpful for quick searching for information from various documents. Notebook is helpful for real-time workflow. GenAI is great, and the generative grid of side-by-side comparison of the company transcripts is fantastic.

AlphaSense has positively impacted my organization. Since we started using this tool, we've seen great improvement. We've been able to find and speed up research on companies that we want to follow. It helps provide strong insights into earnings calls that I wouldn't have time to gain on my own. It has been very helpful because of more granular data, more granular insights, broader resources utilized, and better diversity of opinions.

AlphaSense can be improved, as the workbook is helpful but can be easier to export so I can get the notes back into my internal workflows.

The GenAI could have more concise answers that pull better quotes.

When I am understanding a space for the first time, I can flesh out various experts, documents, and other information, and AlphaSense is also very well suited for that.

The advice I would give to others looking into using AlphaSense is that it is best for finding specific information from older filings of particular companies or specific metrics from equities research reports. It's also very easy to use and provides deeper insights on how the business is developing. This makes it very easy to make data-driven decisions. AlphaSense is a highly recommendable tool.

AlphaSense provides a tremendous search function to search SEC documents and an easy way to track news and events, which saves a lot of time. I would rate this product a nine out of ten.

AlphaSense  is primarily used within our organization for due diligence and market research purposes when preparing new investments and wanting to gain insights into new markets, technologies, or trends.

A specific example of how I have used AlphaSense  for due diligence and market research is that the product addresses a lack of consistent information on the open web, a shortage of customer or relevant party interviews, and inadequate financial models.

Our scope is somewhat narrow, as we do not delve into market filings or regulatory information that is present within the platform, though these resources are always utilized when preparing for an investment.

The best features AlphaSense offers include financial modeling, expert interviews, and market and industry research.

Out of these features, I rely on market and industry research the most because it stands out for its market sizing and participant breakdown capabilities. Financial modeling also provides excellent value through easy access to detailed models from companies around the world. Additionally, AlphaSense provides access to topical and timely research.

AlphaSense has positively impacted my organization since adopting this tool. Everything has been great because it provides sentiment analysis, easy access to industry trends and developments, and access to topical and timely research reports, making it very easy to quickly access industry trends and specific data examples.

AlphaSense could be improved, as the AI agent could answer more detailed questions and provide better data.

There are improvements needed for AlphaSense, particularly access to real-time financial data in a similar vein to Koyfin.

Before choosing AlphaSense, I evaluated CB Insights.

AlphaSense has much broader coverage breadth as it includes financial data, market data, private research, and expert interviews, making it a great tool. I believe the platform has a learning curve, but once you go through it, it becomes very easy to use and, in my opinion, offers a better experience than something like PitchBook or Capital IQ, where most searches depend on selecting different attributes and buttons to segment the search instead of being natural language-based. I would rate this review nine out of ten.
