Deep Content Coverage with AI-Synthesized, Cited Answers

    Reviewed on May 25, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The killer feature for me is the combination of deep content coverage and AI-assisted synthesis. If I’m researching a company, trend, or competitor, I’d love that it can search across hundreds of millions of premium business documents and then return cited answers instead of forcing me to manually stitch everything together
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how the interface can feel overwhelming. The main search page is packed with drop-downs, filters, tags, and features, which is great if you use it daily, but frustrating if you’re sporadic or just want to get straight to the answer without navigating a maze
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This has helped us cut research time dramatically (tasks that used to take 6 hours now take about an hour), give us confidence we’re not missing critical information, and let our analysts work on more projects at once without hiring more people. For our team, that means we move from first signal to final decision faster, with full auditability, and spend more time on strategy and interpretation

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about AlphaSense is that it makes research very fast and easy. I can quickly find useful information from reports, news, and company updates in one place. The AI search feature saves a lot of time, and the platform is simple and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I dislike about AlphaSense is that sometimes the search results feel too broad, so it takes extra time to filter the most relevant information. The platform can also feel a bit expensive for smaller teams or individual users.

AlphaSense is solving the problem of spending too much time searching through reports, news, earnings calls, and market research from different sources. It brings everything into one platform and uses AI to quickly find the most relevant insights.

What do you like best about the product?
for tech entrepreneur and founder like me, specifically praise AlphaSense for its ability to accelerate fundraising, validate product-market fit, and track competitors with lean resources. For a founder, time and capital are the scarcest assets.
What do you dislike about the product?
While AlphaSense is a powerful tool, tech entrepreneurs and startup founders frequently cite several distinct pain points. As a founder, your resources are tightly constrained, which makes certain aspects of the platform less than ideal for an early- or growth-stage company. Here is what founders dislike most about AlphaSense:1. High and Rigid Pricing StructureEnterprise-First Cost: AlphaSense is priced for investment banks and Fortune 500 companies, not bootstrapped startups. Annual licenses typically cost thousands of dollars per user, with strict minimum-user seat requirements.Lack of Startup Pricing:

AlphaSense solves the problem of information overload and fragmented research [AlphaSense 1, AlphaSense 2, AlphaSense 3]. Research workflows have become faster and competitive insights are now consolidated efficiently

    Reviewed on May 16, 2026
    Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for AlphaSense is market research, competitive intelligence, and quickly searching through earnings calls, filings, and industry reports.

A specific example of how I use AlphaSense for market research and intelligence is tracking competitor mentions in earnings transcripts and identifying market trends faster using keywords, alerts, and AI-powered search.

Additionally, I have found that AlphaSense is useful for consolidating research from multiple sources into one platform, which saves significant time during analysis.

How has it helped my organization?

AlphaSense has positively impacted my organization by helping us speed up research workflows, improve competitive analysis, and reduce the time analysts spend manually reviewing reports and earnings calls.

We have reduced research time by approximately 30 to 40%, especially when reviewing earnings transcripts and industry reports, allowing an analyst to process far more documents in the same amount of time.

    What is most valuable?

The best features AlphaSense offers are its AI-powered search, smart synonyms, earnings call transcript search, real-time alerts, and document summarization tools, which make it much faster to find relevant insights across large amounts of research content.

The AI-powered search in AlphaSense helps me find relevant mentions even when different terminology is used, and the summarization tool saves me time by quickly highlighting key points from long earnings transcripts or analyst reports.

The alerting system is useful because it keeps us updated on competitors, industry keywords, and company filings without needing constant manual monitoring.

    What needs improvement?

AlphaSense could improve its dashboard customization and make some advanced filtering options more intuitive for new users.

Pricing can also be high for smaller teams, so more flexible licensing options would make the platform easier to scale across departments.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using AlphaSense for one year.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

AlphaSense has been very stable for us overall, as its search performance and platform uptime have generally been reliable even during heavy research periods. Scalability has also been strong, handling large volumes of users, transcripts, filings, and research data without major performance issues as usage grows.

How are customer service and support?

The customer support for AlphaSense has been good overall; the team is responsive and knowledgeable, especially during onboarding and research-related questions, although some complex requests can still take time to resolve.

I would rate the customer support for AlphaSense around 8 out of 10, as they are generally responsive and helpful, especially for onboarding and platform guidance.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Before AlphaSense, we relied more on manual research using Bloomberg, Google searches, and separate news databases, but we switched to consolidate research and improve search efficiency with AI-driven insights.

    What was our ROI?

I have seen a return on investment mainly through time savings, as analysts spend roughly 30 to 40% less time searching through reports and earnings calls, which has improved research turnaround without needing to expand the team.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Before choosing AlphaSense, we also evaluated Sentieo, Bloomberg Terminal, and FactSet.

What other advice do I have?

I would recommend spending time setting up good keyword strategies and alerts early on because AlphaSense becomes much more powerful once it is tailored to your specific research needs.

AlphaSense has become a core part of our research workflow, especially for speeding up competitive intelligence and making information gathering much more efficient. I would rate this review an 8 out of 10.

AI-driven research has transformed financial analysis and now saves hours in daily industry tracking

    Reviewed on May 04, 2026
Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for AlphaSense is to analyze competitors and track industries that have been present to find insights in a huge volume of data quickly.

A specific example of how I have used AlphaSense in my day-to-day work is that it has been majorly used in finance since it is identified as an AI tool. The detection of this particular AI engine is excellent. To search anything from this particular keyword, I can easily find all the data, the old data, the financial data, and the data which has been used for research tools, which makes more sense.

    What is most valuable?

The best features AlphaSense offers are market research, smart search, sentiment analysis, watch lists and alerts, and collaboration tools for teams. These are the key features I use on a daily basis.

I personally find the best feature of AlphaSense to be its use of artificial intelligence and the ability to access private research reports in their databases, which has positively impacted my organization by saving time on routine tasks.

AlphaSense has positively impacted my organization, and it has been excellent from the AI engine point of view, defining accuracy and usefulness to analyze in a particular platform and allowing deep research in the organization, which has really helped me. Additionally, with the Excel API, I can extract information through the Excel plugin.

I have noticed improvements in decision-making speed, as it was taking three hours to analyze and manage the data, but thanks to AlphaSense, it is now done within a fraction of minutes.

    What needs improvement?

I would improve the Excel plugins, which are already present. The integration with Excel needs enhancement.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using AlphaSense for about two years.

How are customer service and support?

    5

What other advice do I have?

My advice to others looking into using AlphaSense is to take a proof of concept of this particular artificial intelligence engine, as I am confident that the work on daily routine tasks will be minimized.

I chose a rating of nine out of ten because I think the integration with the Excel plugin should directly relate to the data. If the integration were easier, I would definitely give a perfect ten.

I purchased AlphaSense through the AWS Marketplace.
