A must have tool for partnership organizations
What do you like best about the product?
Native integration with Salesforce - saving countless hours of what would otherwise be a manual effort. Crossbeam allows us to quickly identify whether a partnership or integration has a large addressable market and the potential business impact. Easily helps us prioritize where to spend our time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the output in CRM reporting can be a bit confusing, but that is mostly due to our CRM hygiene and not necessarily within Crossbeam's control. For example, parent accounts can show up more than once in the overlap report when in actuality, it's a subsidiary of the parent account, but you can't tell.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Crossbeam helps us determine the potential business impact of a partnership and allows us to quickly determine the addressable market for a partnership or integration.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability for our Account Executives to know, right in our CRM, which partners to connect with. This increases both AE as well as Partner Manager productivity.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of our partners have only agreed to use Crossbeam at the division or even team level. This is more a problem with our Partners than it is with Crossbeam, they've been tremendously helpful in working with our Partners to show them the value of the platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Starburst Data is a true exosystem solution - and partnerships with the upstream data sources and downstream consumers are critical to overall solution success. Crossbeam helps our Account Execs directly determine who to engage at any specific customer, without having to send queries to multiple partner managers, looking at multiple account planning spreadsheets, and frankly, just missing out on possible partner opportunities.

Not always intuitive to use - changing UI, hard to keep up with how to do routine tasks.

Securely identifying overlapping accounts between partners
Great tool for cross-collaboration and joint selling with partners

The data sharing and reporting are easy to use and helpful to the partner team.
What do you dislike about the product?
As the admin, it's hard to keep track of sharing data and enable the team without user-based permissions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Crossbeam solves the problem of how to share overlapping data with partners. It benefits me personally by skipping the manual efforts to compare data sources we get from our partners.
Crossbeam has been a great resource for our sales team and saves so much time.

Crossbeam is an easy-to-use platform that has been a big time saver for our sales organization. Before, everyone talked about account mapping, but the traditional process of sharing lists was too cumbersome and overwhelming.

I wish more companies used it. More data the better the information.

Easy to map accounts to identify mutual customers, upsell opportunities and joint pursuits to collaborate on.

Recent changes to pricing and features are clunky and cumbersome, forces us to implement workarounds that are annoying and slowing our usage.

Crossbeam makes it easy for us to identify accounts to collaborate on with our partners.

What do you like best about the product?
Using prospect and client overlaps saves us an enormous amount of time. Not only does this help identify prospects for us to go after together but it can easily show us a list of clients we can create marketing materials around. It's still an extremely efficient tool in helping us set the foundation for partnerships (or even find out whether partnering makes sense in the first place).
What do you dislike about the product?
Their salesforce connector is robust, but it takes a couple of hours to update accurately. Sometimes we'll have to schedule another call to go through overlaps in data with a partner since it's not done in real time. However, it's still an extremely efficient tool in helping us set the foundation for partnerships (or even find out whether partnering makes sense in the first place). We're saving way more time than we were using excel sheets and CRM exports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Crossbeam helps us determine if there's enough market overlap to pursue a meaningful partnership with our technology partners at Nosto. Once we decide we're good partners, we rely on crossbeam to help us find prospects that make sense to go after together (co-selling) and mutual clients we can market with. We also use Crossbeam to match our opportunities with our partners' clients. It is super helpful in our partnership sales strategy.

What do you like best about the product?
Before Crossbeam, our teams were doing account mapping exercises through spreadsheets, which was a very manual process. Connecting to our Salesforce instance and automatically mapping across our customers and prospects saves an enormous amount of time. We can now automate this motion, quickly identifying similarities with our partners and focusing on more significant initiatives simultaneously.
What do you dislike about the product?
One challenge we encounter is situations where our data points differ from a partner's data and can sometimes create mismatches. Another thing that would be helpful to fix is identifying an opportunity at the account level related to their customer status (paying customer, trial, prospect, etc). Sometimes our customers show up as open opportunities because we have an upsell in the system. As we typically look at partners for net new business it would be great to classify if an account is a customer, they only show up in the customer field and not open opportunities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Crossbeam is saving the biggest challenge, which is the manual process of account mapping. We work with organizations that have 1,000+ partner managers. When those partner managers send us a list of their territoried accounts, it could be several hundred. Our team can't manage that, so having Crossbeam automate this process and identify the relevant 3-10 accounts on that list saves us so much time.

What do you like best about the product?
Great tool to map accounts with a new partner to understand true overlap in our end customers as well as the most productive approach to engaging mutual customers and opportunities post-partnership agreement. The tool is very well designed and the team I have worked with are always helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Breaking down the pricing in more modular components may make it more accessible to startups that only require certain additional features beyond the basic package. I would also focus on streamlining and making the CSV upload as easy as possible to enable larger firms to test the product prior to a SFDC direct connection - this is the fastest way to prove out the value of the tool and an easy UX could lead to more early adoption.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cross reference clients, pipelines and connect key stakeholders to accelerate joint deals. Without Crossbeam you are stuck in a slow and ineffiecient exchange of key customers making a partnership slow and, in most cases, hard to engage.
