Good for team collaboration, kanban style workflow for software development
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how easy it is to collaborate with my team members using Smartsheet. We've relied on it extensively for our software development projects, and I find it to be an excellent alternative to other platforms such as Jira.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I find most frustrating about smartsheet is the need to manually save any changes as you work. There have been times when I lost data I had entered simply because I forgot to click save before switching between different views.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool makes it easy to quickly create and update task boards, as well as share progress across the company. By integrating many features into a single, user-friendly platform, it significantly reduces the effort needed compared to using separate tools. In the past, I have used Jira and other Atlassian products, which I found to be quite cumbersome and time-consuming to learn and set up for effective work.

I like it's functionalities and the possibitlites that the platform offers, additionally I like it's integration with other platforms.

The views and UI could be more user friendly and aesthetically.

The customizable dashboards and automation tools also reduce manual follow-up and make reporting much more efficient. Overall, it helps me keep everything organized and ensures that both internal teams and clients are always aligned.

While Smartsheet is powerful, it can feel a bit complex at times, especially for new users. Some customization options, like advanced reporting layouts or dashboard visuals, are limited compared to other platforms. It can also take a bit of time to set up more detailed automations or integrations. Once everything is configured, though, it runs smoothly and delivers great value overall.

Smartsheet helps solve the challenge of keeping multiple projects, clients, and internal teams aligned in one centralized platform. It eliminates the need for scattered spreadsheets or long email threads by providing real-time visibility into timelines, task ownership, and progress. This has improved accountability and made it much easier to track deliverables, manage dependencies, and communicate updates efficiently. As a result, projects move forward more smoothly, and client expectations are managed with greater transparency and confidence.

Its not only a spread sheet but can store important info like emails, pdf files and images. Simply drag and drop whatever you want and it stores it.
Can create tickets and track them. Creates reports which is helpful in bringing up efficiency on any workplace.

Can be better if all the tabs in an excel sheet can be imported. It limits a few tabs only instead of the whole spread sheet.

It helped me in my daily tasks and gives me reminders straight to my email on things I needed to address and follow up on.

What do you like best about the product?
I value Smartsheet's ease of setup, making it simple to integrate into our operations without any hassle. I appreciate how it enhances communication across our organization, providing real-time updates that keep everyone informed. I find the ability to create and share dashboards particularly beneficial, both internally and externally, which assists in broadening our collaboration. The platform's search functionality is impressively useful, and its capacity to integrate information directly onto our website is a massive benefit.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike Smartsheet's limited ability to perform calculations. It's something we encountered early on, where we expected Smartsheet to handle certain calculations that it simply couldn't execute at the time. The insufficiency in this area persists, as I still find the allowance for it to perform more advanced calculations lacking.

Smartsheet solves communication problems by enabling real-time visibility across the organization, improving overall efficiency. It benefits us by allowing easy dashboard creation and sharing, as well as embedding content on our website.
