You can create customized sheets, dashboards, reports, and automated workflows to suit a wide range of business needs, from project planning and resource management to operational tracking and reporting.

Automation features. Easy to notify team members about the status of projects and requests.

Setting up reporting dashboards and navigating sheets can be clumsy and not always intuitive.

Smartsheet is helping us manage form submissions, work/project notifications, and project work.

Resource allocation if a task has more than 2 members, can be painful

What do you like best about the product?

Smartsheet is a great tool for PMs. I don’t know how I used excel after using Smartsheet. I love how people can see it in real time and it limits the need to send documents back and forth. Being able to make attachments and put pictures in rows is a very handy feature.

What do you dislike about the product?

It drives me nuts that I can’t copy and paste into an email or external document without exporting the sheet to another format. Adds an extra step that seems so unnecessary.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Project tracking is so much easier, with people always having access. I like how people can’t say they didn’t have the more recent plans and such as they always have access. The dashboards is also very helpful for document collecting and visualizing.

What do you like best about the product?

What I like best about Smartsheet is the visibility it provides across projects. Since I manage multiple projects simultaneously, having project plans, dashboards, automations, and reporting in one place helps me stay organized and quickly identify risks, dependencies, and upcoming milestones. I also enjoyed being involved in the migration and testing process, which helped me better understand how to leverage its capabilities to improve project tracking and reporting.

What do you dislike about the product?

The learning curve can be challenging for new users, and some advanced configurations and automations require additional setup and troubleshooting to work effectively.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Smartsheet provides a centralized platform for project planning, tracking, reporting, and collaboration. It improves visibility across projects, streamlines status reporting, and helps me manage timelines, risks, and action items more efficiently, resulting in better project oversight and stakeholder communication.

What do you like best about the product?

I like how easy it is to track projects, assign tasks, and monitor progress in real time with Smartsheet. It gives me the flexibility to customize my workflows according to our business needs without needing advanced technical knowledge. It's really valuable for helping our team clearly define who owns what tasks and responsibilities, especially since our environment often involves servicing more than one client.

What do you dislike about the product?

One thing that could be better is the learning curve for new users, because some of the features like automation and reporting may take some time to fully understand. Also, the cost can become expensive for smaller teams.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Smartsheet helps me solve operational challenges, and I use everyday to enter data that is meant to be for anogther team and sent to us, so overall it akes collaboration with teams outside of ourse very easy. It makes it easy to track projects, assign tasks, and monitor progress in real-time, allowing team members to clearly define responsibilities, which is vital as many of us service more than one client.

No dislikes to report, it's a good tool and easy to use

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Without Smartsheets there can be a problems with lack of ownership, and lack of accountability to deadlines. Smartsheets solve that

What do you like best about the product?

I like that you can accomplish a variety of things with Smartsheet and automate notifications/messages, even though I still need to learn how to use those automation features more consistently. What I like most is how well it works for project plans, especially with the built-in Gantt view. As for the day to day use, what makes it very easy is the fact that you can save different filters and if it's a shared sheet then you don't see others filters.

What do you dislike about the product?

One downside of Smartsheet is that there’s only a limited period you can use it without needing a license. Some people on our team don’t use it very often, but they still need to log in from time to time, and because of this limitation they aren’t able to edit when they need to.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Smartsheet is solving problems we had with other trackers, like the ones I mentioned in my previous answers. With Excel, filters can sometimes be changed by other people, and that can disrupt everyone’s efficiency when we’re working on a shared sheet. With Smartsheet, I’m also able to update my project plans more easily.

I like that you can track projects effectively according to prioritization and also track the changes made to the boxes

I dont think there is anything i specifically dislike

Solves most prioritization and project tracking within the team

I feel the outward facing look of the forms is clean and easy to use.

What do you dislike about the product?

I was disappointed to find that I cannot do a proper NPS sliding scale in Smartsheet.

Support with surveys and automating processes such as requests for information, and incident reporting.
