Easy Scheduling and Great Layout, But Pricey and Occasionally Glitchy

  • October 21, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The layout, its easy to navigate, gives me everything I need to schedule content quickly and easily
What do you dislike about the product?
It's expensive and can be a bit glitchy but I've learned to navigate the main ones
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Putting everything I need in one place, rather than bouncing about. As well as giving all my reporting under one roof

Great Multi-Platform Posting, But Day View and Publishing Calendar Need Some Improvements

  • October 14, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to post to all four platforms we use (Facebook, Instagram, X and LinkedIn) simultaneously
What do you dislike about the product?
Not being able to easily see all posts for a selected day without having to scroll through a very small pop up window. I would prefer if the "day view" would allow you to go to a full screen showing your posts for the day similar to how the "compose post view" gives you a full screen option.

I also don't like that when you're on the publishing calendar page, the "today" button doesn't automatically take you to the row with today displayed and instead it drops you randomly at the beginning of the month.

By the way, if any of this doesn't make sense and you would like me to explain it further, don't hesitate to reach out to me via my personal or work email. =)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to post across platforms with one simple action saving us time and hassle.

Sprout Social Review

  • October 08, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Sprout offers the scheduling of posts and how they offer AI assistance.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like the meticulous ratio requirements when planning to post on Instagram. I also think the video length limit should be increased to 30 seconds to 1 minute. I tired posting an 18 second video but I was not able to post because the video size/time was considered to be too large. It would also be nice to combine at least one video with pictures in one post.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The updates are helpful.

Almost a 10/10

  • October 07, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Sprout's interface is very intuitive and user-friendly--it has everything you need to effectively manage all aspects of your different social media channels in one place. Customer support is also very responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some reporting aspects can be improved. I understand there are limitations based on the social channel and how information can be pulled, but it would be so helpful to be able to easily separate paid and organic metrics for Meta platforms without a workaround like using an 'Organic' tag.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team oversees 16 different social media channels across multiple lines of business, with multiple team members, so having all of our posts streamlined in one place helps with organization, and it's especially helpful for pulling metrics.

Sprout User for 6+ Years Until Now

  • October 07, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Sprout is extremely user-friendly and intuitive, with most features that an organization of my size could want. I especially liked the Inbox feature, which allowed me to stay on top of communications with our social media channels. I like the way all of the information is displayed, the way that the analytics are delivered, and how easy my calendar was to maintain. I used it daily for 6+ years.
What do you dislike about the product?
In the last couple of years, it has become harder and harder to justify the cost of Sprout. I was extremely put off when I was first contacted by Sprout about switching to an annual subscription. While an annual subscription DID make the most sense for our organization, we felt strong-armed into the decision by the huge price hike that would have accompanied remaining month-to-month. With such a huge increase, it was less of a question of switching to an annual subscription out of convenience and more a question of do we switch to an annual subscription or do we switch to a different provider.

The introduction of 2-factor authentication coupled with the fact that adding even a second user to our plan would have doubled the cost of our service was what finally pushed us to switch to another provider. My intern and I were constantly having to coordinate logging in to get our work done because we could not justify the cost of creating an additional user. While I would have been happy to pay a nominal fee to increase the number of authorized users in order to remain a Sprout Social customer, I am absolutely unwilling to double my expenses for the sake of having a total of TWO team members access our account.

When I first joined my organization in 2019, they were using Hootsuite. I had been using Sprout Social in my previous job and actively pushed for my current organization to make the switch. Leaving was not an easy decision, I have a lot of brand loyalty for Sprout Social but there absolutely comes a tipping point. While the new service provider we are using is not perfect, I can at least have another member of my team access our social media without having to jump through hoops or pay out the nose for the privilege.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout Social offers a number of useful tools that help in creating a cohesive, effective social media strategy in an ever-shifting landscape. The centralized inbox makes it easy to stay on top of communications so that important messages aren't missed.

Great, but has some kinks to work out

  • October 07, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is really easy to use and it is great for client approval processes. I use it every day in my job as a social media manager and the reporting feature has also saved me a lot of time when presenting monthly and quarterly reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
They do not have the ability to schedule PDF (carousel posts) on LinkedIn, I cannot add a client's instagram because it is not connected to their Facebook (despite the fact that I have the login information), and it took customer service over a month to work with me on the issue of getting social listening taken off even though I was told by an account manager that it was something simple that they could do and trade out for an extra seat on the account.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is allowing me to see and host all of my client's account in one place so that I can easily switch between them when pulling reports and scheduling posts.

Good, but cost is extensive.

What do you like best about the product?
Social publishing and analytics as well as optimal times
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that you have to pay extra if you are on standard plan for optimal times. Also overpriced.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to post at all times all at once and review demographics

Good tool for social media management; customer support is hit or miss

  • October 07, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Sprout Social makes it easy to manage and schedule social media content for multiple clients. The reporting is straightforward and the dashboards are easy to navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our team has reached out to Sprout Social for customer support multiple times, and sometimes it takes days to get a response from someone. We've needed urgent help, and it's impossible to get in touch with them quickly. We expect fast response times when we pay this much for a tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We manage multiple client profiles and need a tool to streamline the entire process. We don't have to log into individual client profiles to manage and post content.

    Events Services

Good for small business social media management

  • October 06, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Gen Con likes using Sprout Social for our social media management. Its user-friendly design and easy access to analytics tools make social media management uncomplicated. The platform offers valuable insights into audience engagement, which allows us to refine messaging and strengthen connections with fans. The scheduling features are convenient, allowing for timed posts that resonate with our followers.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Sprout Social offers a range of valuable features for social media management, there are some downsides to consider. One drawback is its cost, as it tends to be on the pricier side compared to other social media tools. Additionally, the platform can sometimes be slow to load and may experience occasional glitches, affecting the overall user experience. Finally, although it provides robust analytics, the learning curve is steep, which can be challenging for teams looking to quickly adopt new software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking engagement, following social growth, planning, and scheduling posts.

    Broadcast Media

One Size Fits All

  • October 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It makes the social media posts we're required to make really easy. Being able to pretty much instantly get through Facebook, X, Bluesky, and Threads makes that part of the job go much more quickly than having to go through each platform individually. It also makes it easier on people like me who choose not to have social media accounts by making it for the company. We use it every day, at least ten times a day and going through Sprout makes that work go much more smoothly. And once our social media accounts were linked it was ready to go instantaneously, so there was no worry about not being able to post for a time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like it if Sprout had an easier way to keep track of what you've posted about already. I write 10 posts every day I use it and it becomes hard to keep track of what I've posted about because it defaults to tracking posts over like two weeks instead of that day. Similarly, the services defaults to tracking posts on eastern time, and as a user in a different time zone we need to consider when posts are actually going up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes creating social media content very efficient. I don't have to reinvent the wheel for posts on four or five different platforms that are otherwise very similar. If I need to make something unique it's because the platform I'm posting to is unique: A Facebook post is different from Instagram and different from YouTube. But a Facebook post and a Bluesky post are similar, so why go through each platform on their own and post when I could use Sprout to post on them all at once?
