A powerful social tool
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to schedule posts in advance and the delegation features that allow us to review and edit posts as a team.
What do you dislike about the product?
When composing in Sprout, it renders straight quotes and straight apostrophes; we waste a lot of time having to fix the punctuation so we get the proper smart quotes and smart apostrophes. There should be a setting that allows us to default to smart punctuation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping consolidate all social efforts into one place.
A good option for managing your social accounts
What do you like best about the product?
Easy for me to see at a glance my social calendar for the week/month/etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that the comment functionality allowed you to upload files to it. Would make it much easier to swap assets/upload planned assets for the particular day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a central place to plan out social media posts, review, and comment
Sprout Social
What do you like best about the product?
I love the amount of data that is pulled into reports! It's so easy to see what is and isn't working with social content.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the platform can be a bit cumbersome to navigate when first onboarding. There are so many bells and whistles to click through.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's allowing me to see how content performs in real-time and compared to previous periods.
Great Features But You Will Pay for Them
What do you like best about the product?
Best features:
- Interface - incredibly intuitive and user-friendly
- easily toggle between profiles/accounts
- CaptionAi integration for caption writing
- The Arboretum social community is great!
- Sprout Social blogs are very informative
- Reporting tools are better than most of the tools on the market now.

What do you dislike about the product?
Cons:
- Price - a LOT of features (including some of the best features Sprout has to offer) are hidden behind levels of payment. It's super pricey even just for basic plans with basic features.
- Mobile app needs help. It seems there's always a glitch with the mobile app - captions not copying when you go to IG to post, looong loading time for mobile publisher posts, posts created from mobile don't always show up when you look for them on desktop, app crashes (I have the most current version of the app and I will occasionally delete it and reinstall but the issue persists)
- A known issue that graphics, especially with text on them, post blurry. so if you're sharing an image from Canva or Adobe, you'll want to ensure it is at least 2x resolution. For example, if you want to post a 1080x1080px image via Sprout, ensure you download that image from your design tool at 2,160x2,160px when you add it to Sprout. So if Sprout says it's too big, then choose a mobile publisher or post it natively in the social platform.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scheduling posts, responding to messages/comments, generating reports
Great for small teams
What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to collaborate with other teams and external contractors. The platform specific features like the Instagram grid preview are great too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing I can think of in particular – it's a great platform
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're trying to improve collaboration between social media managers and the Design team and Sprout is giving us the ability to review visual content for posts before it goes live
Great tool for social media scheduling.
What do you like best about the product?
Sprout made my job as a social media coordinator significantly easier. It was easy to respond to messages and comments all in one platform rather than having to go into each individual platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
I had no major issues with Sprout, so nothing really that I disliked.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It was solving the problem of having to go in to multiple platforms and respond to people directly.
Good interface. Easy to onboard.
What do you like best about the product?
I like best the social media tracking interface and how it presents mentions. We recently started using Sprout and the onboarding process was easy and our team was able to get started quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is hard to find the approved posts tool and can be clunky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a social scheduling tool that enabled for multiple levels of approval.
An asset with lots of features
What do you like best about the product?
There are some really useful features (like previewing a post, scheduling the same post on multiple channels, etc).
What do you dislike about the product?
For such a robust product, there are some features that just are a little wonky (ex: LinkedIn tagging). Sometimes, the number of features is a little overwhelming too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It can be hard to streamline the social media posting process and Sprout helps do that. You can do a lot in one place and that's helpful when time is limited.
I had a few frustrations throughout the onboarding but the product as a whole is very solid.
What do you like best about the product?
High-level analytics, a lot of opportunity for team growth.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are multiple instances where accounts automatically leave the platform and need to resubscribe.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had no way to track social media information prior to Sprout.
Good, easy-to-use platform; a few changes I would make
What do you like best about the product?
Simple and intuitive to use, especially if you've had some experience with other social media management platforms. Variety of helpful tools for posting and analytics. At least in my time using it, glitches and reconnections issues have been minimal (some are inevitably with any platform).
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't love the auto-publish queue options (first and last only) and would like an easier way to bulk reschedule posts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout makes it easy to schedule posts so our social media team can have breaks, and also makes it very simple to see top performing posts from certain time periods to reschedule when needed.
