What do you like best about the product?
We can create work flows that work for both our agency and our clients. Someone can draft social posts internally, for review from someone else on the team before it is sent to the client for review. And the review process can be done without a Sprout account, so the barriers to use for our clients are low.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some unnecessary extra steps involved that can slow down our social process a little bit. For example, once a post has been approved by all parties, we still need to go in and schedule the post. The email reminders make it easier, but it feels like a step that could be removed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout Social allows us to manage multiple clients' social media accounts, all in one place. It offers comprehensive analytics and a work flow system that allows for comments and approvals easily. At an agency, this streamlines our operations considerably and allows for a smooth work flow.
Sprout is a very useful platform if you want to manage and review brands' social media activity.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that you don't need several apps or platforms to see all the data and manage the posts.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are still some missing feature regarding to data analysis that our clients frequently ask when reporting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't have to log in to Facebook and change between the managed profiles if I want to see the brand's post and the analytics and then change the profiles back when I want to see another brand's profile, so this way is more sufficient.
It is very hit or miss for me on the platform
What do you like best about the product?
I do like the user interface of the platform it is very user-friendly and easy for me to follow. I also like how it organizes everything neatly for all the brands I manage. I can easily hop between clients and publish content and create reports. In the publishing section, I like how there are various tools to optimize my post like the viral time tool which allows me to post at the perfect time for the maximum amount of traction, or the bitly tool which is implemented to shorten links in my post to make the captions look cleaner.
What do you dislike about the product?
I come across so many outage issues on the platform. Frequently for one of my clients, the platform will not publish my Facebook posts and it would just say that an unexpected error has occurred please try again. Then I will reschedule the post and it will publish. I also do not like how you can integrate Pinterest into the platform with limited insights into analytics. It is not very helpful. I am unable to measure any sort of metrics on Sprout. I also do not like how limited I am with editing features for Instagram and TikTok. I would like to add text and music to my videos so i do not have to do that natively within the app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout is helping me with streamlining my publishing process for clients. I can Bulk schedule quickly to get a month's worth of content scheduled. I do like the bulk schedule feature as it saves me a lot of time. When it comes to social media analytics, I like how the platform helps me create any type of report I need. I can modify my reports to be on a monthly or yearly basis. Finally, I do like how the smart inbox allows me to easily answer comments and messages to improve our response rate which helps our clients a lot. I do not have to do this this of community management natively within each social media app, I can just do it all from smart inbox.
Sprout as a social media manager has a lot of features. I
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can see a basic amount of information regarding an account.
What do you dislike about the product?
too many hovering messages as I try to move my mouse around the screen. Feels unneccesary to have the New Post feature tied directly to the N key. No CTRL+N just N. Unable to see more than just the basic information regarding an account. Errors in tickets not closing after already being actioned. Tickets other agents have actioned not being cleared from the queue. Screenshots and other media either load properly then just stop or they don't load properly at all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to manage multiple tickets at a time.
A Content Marketer’s Take on Sprout Social
What do you like best about the product?
As a sponsored content marketer, I appreciate Sprout Social’s comprehensive analytics and reporting features. The ability to track engagement and analyze data across different platforms is invaluable for optimizing our content strategy. The interface is user-friendly, making it relatively easy to navigate and utilize its features effectively. Additionally, the scheduling functionality is a significant time-saver, allowing us to plan and execute content campaigns with better efficiency.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the main drawbacks I’ve experienced with Sprout Social is the cost, which can be a bit steep, especially for smaller businesses or those just starting with social media management. While the platform offers a range of features, some of them could be more robust, particularly in areas like automated responses and deeper integration capabilities with a wider range of social platforms. Occasionally, the response times from customer support can be slower than expected, which can be frustrating when dealing with urgent issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout Social has been instrumental in streamlining our social media management. It solves the problem of managing multiple social media accounts by consolidating them into one platform. This centralization allows us to monitor, post, and engage with our audience across various networks efficiently. The analytics tools provide insights into audience engagement and content performance, helping us refine our strategies and better understand our followers. Additionally, the scheduling feature ensures consistent content delivery, which is crucial for maintaining our brand’s presence and engagement online.
Accomplishes what you need it to but could be better
What do you like best about the product?
I use Sprout almost daily, mostly for the scheduler. Although I haven't used a lot of the other features, I do like how detailed the reports are about competitors, statistics, and what people are saying about the company. Comparing to other scheduling sites, it overall felt equally as easy to use and learn the platform. One great feature is that it allows you to post on multiple platforms at the same time which makes scheduling go a lot faster.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the scheduler allowed you to expand the list of already scheduled posts while you are in the composer. It will show the first few that you have scheduled for the selected day and then a text at the bottom that says "+5 more." It's not very convient to have to leave the post to see what's scheduled later in the day.
Sprout shows you the optimal times to post but if you have multiple things already scheduled, it may be a time that you already picked. It would be great if when you went to select it again, it showed a message that told the user that there's already a post scheduled for that time.
I don't like that Sprout doesn't allow you to add a link to Instagram stories unless you are on mobile, and even then, it is unclear on exactly how to do that. This seems like such a simple feature that they should consider adding, even Sked had that option.
Another thing I don't like is that it won't allow you to select more than 10 photos for FaceBook which doesn't make sense. You can post more than 10 pictures manually posting from FaceBook.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is allowing me to schedule post far in advance while keeping things organized. It saves me time by combining all of the platforms on one scheduler.
good not great
What do you like best about the product?
i like that you can reschedule posts easily. I also like how easy it is to see and create analytics reports
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that when scheduling posts, if I click on the calendar to make a post, the post doesn't automatically go to the time of day that I clicked it. It would be helpuful if I were to click on timeslots on certains days and go to drafting the post from there as opposed to having to do it at the end.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scheduling post in advance and creating analytics reports.
Powerful tool with a few missing pieces
What do you like best about the product?
Sprout is a comprehensive all-in-one tool with powerful analytics and scheduling abilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
The 10-item restrictions on Instagram story posts and Facebook albums are very limiting and hinder advanced planning for things like takeovers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout is helping me solve our previous issue of lacking enough comprehensive data to plan social media strategy in advance.
Implemented Sprout for 3 months
What do you like best about the product?
Some of the reporting functionality and scheduling posts
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited functionality when not on the highest package. Would want access to features but upgrading is limited by budget given
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For the most part scheduling for several channels and accounts at the same time. Really enjoying reporting functionality
