Best management platform available, with some caveats

What do you like best about the product?
Sprout Social is a feature-rich social media management solution that delivers a number of great features. Social calendars, editorial workflows, in-depth reporting, automations, and more across all major social media networks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Given the size and complexity of the software, Sprout as a company is often slower to innovate than some of their more lean and agile competitors. The service can get very costly and many of the more advanced features (like social listening and premium analytics) are add-ons that are cost prohibitive for many businesses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a growing agency, being able to manage all of our social channels across all of our clients in one place has been hugely beneficial. We get granular control over permissions to ensure our team and our client points of contact are able to be productive but not distracted by too many options or tools. The efficiency that helps create benefits everyone.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need a solid, feature-rich, and scalable solution, Sprout is the way to go. If you need a solution for a small business and and cost or speed of innovation is a priority, you might be better served by a more niche product.

What do you like best about the product?
My primary role is writing social posts for an agency. I like the Needs Approval flow and compose windows. It's easy to share work and projects with coworkers on a distributed team.
What do you dislike about the product?
However, the compose windows don't keep up with the changing algorithm/format the posts need to be. Sprout is months behind on changing the send to compose windows to the proper format for LinkedIn and Facebook.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout allows us to create social posts and schedule them across many clients. It helps me work with account managers and my fellow writers on ideas and management of posts.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the visuals and how user friendly it is.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that it was easier to perform my own analysis on our metrics.

We use Sprout to post and report on all of our social profiles.

What do you like best about the product?
Sprout connects with all of the platforms we need. We also really like the competitor feature and the reporting features are great. Social listening is also a great concept.
What do you dislike about the product?
We constantly have bugs with Sprout. We have had a lot of issues with profiles disconnecting and issues linking with Ads Manager. We would like to see a more seamless transition there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout Social helps us streamline our approval processes internally and with the client. It allows us to plan calendars in advance so we aren't scrambling for approval at the last minute.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would still consider it, but understand that you may experience connection issues. There are other features though that may make it worth it.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can assign an approver, but analytics are a little inconsistent when comparing to the platform analytics
What do you dislike about the product?
social listening and advance analtyics being packaged separately is inconvenient and not cost effective
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's great for making sure our team isn't double dipping on responding or outreaching via our social channels. I like the assignment option and the mark as complete option.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would test out a few management systems and see what is the most feasible and ease of use.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to schedule posts - it is also reliable, all scheduled posts will post.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface is busy and some functions like selecting frames for an instagram video are missing

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to schedule post ahead of time, I particurly like you can you add posts to be published or just as drafts in cae you forget to go in and make changes.
What do you dislike about the product?
- Can't tag individuals / people in the platform so have to manually go and change posts once they have been published
- Sometimes the platform can't find the correct company tag, even if you know you are typing it correctly
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability for multiple users to work across one platform and have full visibility

My Odyssey with SproutSocial

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to post across multiple platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
#1 - There should be super-admin features so that the super admin can set up the other admins; it wastes a lot of time logging into all user ids
#2 - Attaching individual LI profiles is a nightmare; your latest software update caused individual profiles to attached to the wrong company profiles; and, your people would not admit a problem until after it happened to us for the 3rd time
#3 - Attention to account detail - We have been with SS a LONG time; and we have a number of profiles grandfathered in our account; every time I make an upgrade, something goes wrong; I recently added a user ID and the profiles got wiped out; it took several emails to get it straightened out; not good; all because the sales rep was eager for a sale and didn't set the upgrade up properly
#4 - Post Failures - I can see if there is a problem with the social channels, but posts from SS should not fail; for a while there, it was happening regularly - not good
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have the ability to post across all platforms; that is good;

What do you like best about the product?
Adding new users and accounts is easy. Live chat customer service is very helpful (but only available on weekdays).
What do you dislike about the product?
When something goes wrong, the in-app dashboard often misses the issue -- it's not uncommon for the app to show items as published but they haven't, and the system deletes all trace of the post. That lack of transparency is an issue. Further, their live help is only available 24/7 weekdays and not staffed on the weekends, which is concerning. The desktop and mobile apps have different functionality, so while the app is nice, you cannot add links to your Sprout Link In Bio when using to schedule, resize images or add alt text for accessibility. And as far as reporting, you're limited to comparing to the immediate time period, so for example: comparing 31 days in May to the previous 31 days, not May 2022 to May 2021. You cannot schedule IG posts with multiple images or IG/FB stories, although there does appear to be a workaround for at least one of those.

Scheduling across multiple platforms in one place. Analyze and report on metrics from multiple platforms.
