Great UX and Reliability, But Reporting Needs Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
It works well, rarely any bugs, and the UX makes total sense
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting could be much much much better. They have the data, they're connected to our social accounts, but they just don't analyze it enough. I wish I could see so many more reports and interesting insights about our past performance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing our social media channels more than what we can do with the native apps.
Easy Multi-Account Posting, But Setup Can Be Challenging
What do you like best about the product?
It's ease of use, and ability to post to multiple accounts quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be time consuming/challenging adding new accounts and users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to post to multiple accounts quickly, and tracking analytics.
Easy Multi-Platform Posting, But Needs Better Error Insights
What do you like best about the product?
It's ease of use and ability to post to multiple platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
When posts fail -- sometimes it's not Sprout's fault, but would like more information on what causes that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to post on multiple platforms fast, and tracking those analytics as a group.
Efficient Social Media Management with Growth Potential
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate Sprout Social’s reporting function for its simplicity and ease of use compared to previous tools we have used. The ability to quickly download reports as PDFs is particularly convenient for my needs. Additionally, I find the tagging functions extremely beneficial, especially the creation of macros that allow crew members to efficiently apply multiple tags to messages without needing to add them individually. This feature is a huge time-saver when dealing with heavier volumes or busier times. Furthermore, I am impressed by the detailed and in-depth reporting capabilities offered by Sprout Social, which surpass what our previous tool, Hootsuite’s Spark Central, could provide. These aspects have been crucial for us in managing our social media accounts, enabling us to track conversations across channels seamlessly and maintain team accountability and performance.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it challenging not being able to have the previous conversation history all in one place, necessitating jumping to different tabs to find that information, such as the people tab. It would be really beneficial to have a continuous scrolling function for conversation history, an aspect we've had with other tools we've used in the past. Although Sprout has shown us a mock-up of what this could potentially look like, the feature is still awaited for rollout. Additionally, there is a learning curve with the team needing to figure out how to complete tasks that were simpler in previous tools, requiring more clicking around in Sprout.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Sprout Social to manage multiple channels in one place, creating a unified team environment, track progress, and utilize reporting to incentivize accountability. It simplifies reporting and saves time with tagging functions.
Social Media Manager
What do you like best about the product?
Easy scheduling, customization of image files, and thorough analytics.
What do you dislike about the product?
Instagram works hard to make custom options only available in their app. I wish there were a way to better approach those custom items through sprout, but I understand that's not Sprout Social's issue. Also, I think their "optimal time" suggestions need some tweaking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Seamless scheduling and collaboration with my team. As well as giving us the important information that helps us make posting or trend decisions.
Customizable Reports Shine, But Scheduling Needs Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
The reporting tools are easy to use and so customizable. So easy to share.
What do you dislike about the product?
Scheduling doesn’t always work — things get blocked or don’t send for whatever reason. Also sometimes I’ll schedule and then photos post blurry. I wish the program told me if they were too big/small.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reporting is 100% easier with sprout to create and to share
Effortless Content Scheduling and Analytics, but Approval Workflow Needs Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
Sprout makes it extremely easy to upload and plan content for multiple social media accounts! Analytics are extremely easy to access, download, and understand! This is huge when presenting to clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
The approval workflow has been frustrating on my end, personally. I don't like how if an external approver is using their work email, they don't always get access to the submitted social posts to approve. I also don't love how the analytics are different across platform. If there are follower analytics for one platform, there should be follower analytics for all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have 9 different client accounts that I manage social media for. Sprout makes it extremely easy to streamline scheduling and keeping track of what I'm posting and when.
Centralized Social Management, But Pricey
What do you like best about the product?
I like Sprout Social for its ease of use, which makes managing multiple social media accounts feel almost effortless. The centralization of data and management through Sprout Social is something I highly value, as it streamlines my workflow and helps me keep everything organized in one platform. Additionally, the initial setup was easy, which made onboarding a smooth experience. I also appreciate the more robust features of Sprout Social, which were one of the main reasons for switching from Buffer, allowing for an expanded functionality that supports my needs better.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost of Sprout Social is high.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Sprout Social for centralizing data and managing multiple social media accounts efficiently, enhancing ease of use and reporting capabilities.
Strong Partnership and Expertise, But Account Support Extremely Lacking
What do you like best about the product?
- Our team knows it inside and out
- We trust that they have the best relationships with the social networks
- They seek to partner with us to increase our value to our clients
- It mostly has all of the features we need to be successful and they are open to our recommendations for things that they don't have

What do you dislike about the product?
The turnover with our contacts has been insane. I complained about it a year ago and we've since had 4 this year, plus new people in every other area of contact. And every time a new person comes on, they expect to have a full "intro" to our business and goals. We just keep starting from scratch and I have zero faith or interest in onboarding a new person to Sprout for them.
I also really don't like that every person I'm talking to is in their bedroom. It feels so unprofessional and reaffirms my perception that this person is temporary and just feels like a call center instead of someone deeply committed to our business, industry and even to Sprout. The response time and number of out of office responses, especially days Sprout is just officially off that aren't normal closures is also frustrating.
Our only complaint up until the last 2 years of the above has always been that our team seems to know more about Sprout than anyone they're working on with at support.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides collaboration, efficiency, reporting, deep listening and the ability to confidently publish, monitor, report and engage on behalf of our social clients.
Simplifies Social Media Management, But Needs More Features
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate how Sprout Social consolidates multiple tools for publication planning into one platform, solving the problem of having to manage them separately. Programming a post is notably easy, enhancing efficiency in handling social networks. The feature allowing the creation of validation workflows is particularly helpful, as it removes the need to send emails for validation, thus streamlining the process considerably. I always know the status of each post before publication, which saves a substantial amount of time and effort. Additionally, the initial setup was facilitated by meetings with onboarding teams, making the entire process much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool misses a place to classify topic ideas and manage illustrations, which would enhance its usability. Also, once the team is onboarded and after few months it became complicated to contact the customer service and get answers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Sprout Social to schedule social media posts and monitor my company's reputation, solving the issue of multiple tools for publication planning and saving time by avoiding email validations.
