Good service but needs improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I love that the service is well-organized and easy to navigate. I can manage multiple accounts from one place, and it's convenient to see which team member sent which tweet. The "sent messages" feature includes so much valuable information about engagement stats, which I appreciate.
What do you dislike about the product?
The site still shows messages from users who have been blocked and also from private accounts. This can weigh down the queue with many irrelevant and unwanted tweets. The app, while it makes bulk clearing easier, crashes frequently. (Almost every time I use it!) Clicking on an image or gif during bulk clearing will also undo any progress, and I have to start over. On busy days, this can slow me down quite a bit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Sprout to reply to the public. We receive countless messages in a day, so it's much easier to see them on Sprout than use the desktop.
Convenient way to pre-schedule across multiple accounts
What do you like best about the product?
As a marketing and PR professional, organic social can be one of the more tedious parts of the job. Sprout makes it easier to manage and review reports across each of my 5 clients' accounts. I also appreciate the automated queue option, which tracks when our followers are most active, and distributes queued posts accordingly. It also has a great free reporting feature which I've found to be more reliable and interactive than paid platforms. Another thing that I appreciate is the additional feature to link your personal profile.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a little confusing to approve workflows and manage user access. However, Sprout does have several tutorials and separate sites which allow you to teach yourself how to do so. I also wish the calendar was more user-friendly and interactive. Yes, you can see your pre-scheduled posts- but it isn't necessarily the most accessible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As I previously mentioned, organic social is seen as one of the more 'tedious' components of managing a client's marketing initiatives. This makes it easy to not only schedule and plan posts days, weeks, or even months in advance- but to also track performance and make actionable recommendations.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a great management and reporting tool for those in B2B marketing, however, I am not involved in customer support via social so I cannot provide any feedback and therefore recommend doing your research. There is still much I've yet to discover- but am so far very pleased with the results!
Overall helpful, some room for improvement
What do you like best about the product?
The messaging is by far the most helpful piece of Sprout for my purposes. Being able to track, reply, etc. from one page instead of four separate social accounts is a huge time saver.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be buggy…for example, for weeks now, titles, photos, etc. do not auto-populate when publishing stories. I also wish posting to Instagram were easier. I also wish cropping photos was easier and available on all social media platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Again, through the messaging capabilities, I am able to much more easily monitor and respond to our readers. It also helps share breaking news with one post instead of multiple.
Great product for managing social media
What do you like best about the product?
Sprout is a great tool for managing incoming/outgoing social media posts. I really like that it ensures we're able to see every post that @mentions our company, as well as any posts that match the keywords that we've specified. The ability to tag posts is great, as it allows us to keep track of certain types of posts and run reports on them. The asset library is a great tool to help us respond to messages faster. The ability to schedule posts is helpful as well, so we can stay organized and post at the best times.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice to be able to attach photos when replying to Facebook PMs and Twitter DMs. It would also be nice to be able to send GIFs. I'd also like the ability to filter out posts from specific accounts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes it easier to respond to messages faster. Tracking trends, feedback, and messages around specific campaigns is also very easy with the tag system. Posting is made simple, being able to create and schedule posts for all social platforms from one place.
Sprout Social for Community Management and Collaboration of Social Media Channels
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to develop a process between team members has been invaluable. I find the approvals process extremely worthwhile. In the beginning, it wasn't perfect for our team. I expressed my desire for certain features and a different set-up to accommodate our program and Sprout customer service was more than willing to work with us to make it happen.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the ability to listen on Facebook. I understand that it isn't possible for nearly all 3rd party organizations due to FB's API, but we've been told for a while now that it is coming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The approvals process is a problem solved for us. Another benefit is the preview mode and the ease of creating a post and seeing it through to completion. I also unexpectedly love the ability to edit images for each social platform in the tool.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For social media community management, this product is great. It is easy to use, does not take long to implement, and is easy to collaborate with other team members on.
Pricey, but excellent tool for your business!
What do you like best about the product?
The reports are excellent. I appreciate the ability to be able to have a great glimpse of what is happening with our social media accounts.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a way to dive deeper into the analytics. Also the posts for the month rankings could be expanded more. I also do not like that the prices have gone up over 1000% in the last 4 years. That's pretty intense.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My clients now have the opportunity to see their data in a very stylized look, with all the pertinent information available. It helps with credibility with clients and is very valuable in that way.

Sprout Social provides excellent analytics and delivers a great amount of information to then share with clients or your own organization.
Simple & Straightforward Product
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to use publishing tool and and robust historical metrics for each social channel.
What do you dislike about the product?
Social profiles are randomly disconnected, meaning some scheduled posts end up failing to publish. There is also little control over reporting when it comes to customization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Maintaining social engagement and reach of company profiles.
I like Sprout - mostly
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to schedule posts in advance is helpful. The reporting features are nice as well. I still use the recommended time to post feature but I'm not sure it's effective.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Android app crashes constantly. Often, after receiving a notification, I'm meet with a black screen that freezes my phone.

Great for Reporting
What do you like best about the product?
I use several different tools and I find Sprouts reporting to be the best. They provide a high level overview that’s perfect for clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don’t use it for scheduling very much as I find it more difficult to use than Later which I like for the visualization - especially for Instagram
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I like the hashtag reporting and the demographic data. It helps to see who your followers are and who you should be targeting.
