Decent social scheduling platform

  • August 24, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Sprout is a middle tier social scheduling platform, good for smaller marketing operations looking to automate posting across platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
The analytics options aren’t great. It would also be ideal if they added a feature that auto resized an image for the platform it was going to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Save time by not manually posting social posts and managing engagement across channels.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you like the social automation software you’re currently using, don’t make the switch.

Good

What do you like best about the product?
Writing posts is quite intuitive as you can preview how it looks.
The edit tools for pictures are also a great addition.
The statistics reports are also very detailed. They're easy to read and give a good picture of what's working.
What do you dislike about the product?
The post preview doesn't update, which is frustrating.
You also don't have the opportunity to use current Facebook pictures and upload to an album.
Sometimes, you lose a draft if there was an error, or it wasn't approved before the publish date.
The calendar only works well week by week. The monthly view is a pain.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating posts, managing social media calendar and creating reports
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a really good tool for general posting and gathering data for reports. For more complex posts, you'd still have to use something else. And be mindful tha calendar is a bit tricky. If you losse a post, check drafts and rejected and make sure you display everything with the filters.

Good solution for the price

What do you like best about the product?
Sprout is a decent social CRM. They've made a lot of improvements over the years and are always fine tunning. Social posts using AI to schedule rather manually enter days and time is great!
What do you dislike about the product?
Listening tool needs work. It's not as sophisticated as other tools out there. Audience segmentation and reporting needs work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Knowing when to schedule to grow engagement is difficult. Sprout automates that.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a great tool for the basics. It's not nearly as sophisticated as it could be. It's great for SMBs.

is a good choice to manage the management of social networks.

What do you like best about the product?
its interface is solid and efficient to manage, I like it allows you to manage social networks in a very useful way, because it allows you to attach multiple profiles from different platforms thus achieving a practical and simple management of these networks.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the only mistake I've noticed about this tool is that the session can be closed spontaneously, from one moment to the next this can happen even if you are handling the tool this happens I think it is a very particular error that could be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
thanks to these tools you can manage social networks in a very creative and useful way because it allows you to manage multiple networks from different platforms thus managing and managing these networks.

Sprout is Amazing

  • June 05, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to reschedule a post to occur on multiple days when scheduling. I typically use sprout to publish evergreen content and I'll have the content repeat itself every couple of months

Plus we got grandfathered into a really great plan!
What do you dislike about the product?
I really wish sprout could still have access to change thumbnail preview images like they did a couple years ago.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working with other programs I've found that a lot of them don't give me the same ability to continuously reschedule posts.

Good for community management and customer support

  • May 19, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to have easy access to switch between brands, clients or pages to provide customer support too. Tasking escalated requests or questions is a great ability to have.
What do you dislike about the product?
Recently they've had some issues. Not sure if its related to their API but technical issues have become more common with general responses and no real fixes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Customer Support and brand reputation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Its definitely an easy tool to use and implement for small businesses. I'm not sure theres a better tool for larger businesses but I hope Sprout can adjust and make some progressive changes to the technical issues they've had with their platform recently.

Too many features, complicated interface

  • May 14, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Makes social publishing quick and easy. You are able to queue posts and schedule them or let the viral algorithm decide for you.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's no designated account manager even for Premium Plans. Little assistance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Publishing content to Social Media channels. They have a lot of flexibility when it comes to publishing.

Too much for too little

  • May 09, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Sprout accomplishes the main service that we pay for: posting across all our social channels, making it easy to schedule and plan out our social posts.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price, the plans, and the constant issues with having channels disconnect or posts not going up. It seems ridiculously expensive for something other services can do for a fraction of the price without the issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Just tyring to be efficient with planning our social content for our clients over each month.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Look around for other services first, if all you want to do is automate your social posts, there are other places to go. If you want an all-in-one social platform, Sprout is probably the best option that I know of.

50/50 Sometimes its great, sometimes its bad

  • May 01, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that we're able to have multi-users, the API fulls everything correctly and timely and we can have multiple brands on one account. Its seamless to switch from different brands.
What do you dislike about the product?
We've seen a lot of issues recently. Very often, we're seeing one comment come through 6 different times. Resulting in our task list being over 100,000 tasks (comments or mentions).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Community Management, Brand Sentiment
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you aren't running advanced paid social (targeting specifically), this is a great tool. Otherwise, you'll likely see some issues.

Powerful platform with some basic tools/features missing.

  • April 23, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the appearance of the interface, and the granular user control. The publishing tools are fun to use, and I love the content inspiration library. The reports are also sound and reliable data's updated regularly. I also really like the messenger bot for Facebook, we've got one activated and it works well.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's no drag and drop feature, and changes to posts on the calendar require a refresh before you can see them. This is basic, and I'm not sure why that feature isn't there. Besides posting, there are also no tools for other related tasks, e.g. if an event or holiday is coming up, the schedule doesn't help us remember that or communicate about it on the platform. All discussions need to be on social media post reviews. But sometimes, our clients really want to hash out ideas on the platform concerning certain events, or maybe leave reminders for us concerning particular topics or content.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're doing social media, customer support and content services for ourselves and our clients.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try other social media platforms on a trial basis when you try this one because user experiences vary. Your preferences, personality and working style and the intricacies of the way your business does things internally will have a huge impact on whether you'll be buzzing along or pulling your hair out in 6 months.
