Efficient Social Monitoring with Sprout Social

What do you like best about the product?
I love how Sprout Social significantly saves us time with monitoring our social media presence. The platform's ability to consolidate numerous messages and comments into one space efficiently prevents us from feeling overwhelmed and ensures we don't miss any important feedback. I find the social listening and scheduling capabilities incredibly useful, particularly when stepping in for the social media team. Additionally, the responsiveness and helpfulness of Sprout Social representatives are impressive, as they always get back to me quickly with solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that the Reddit listening feature in Sprout Social is a bit finicky, as it tends to miss some things. Despite understanding that Reddit is a vast platform with a substantial number of users, this feature feels a bit sticky and could be improved to better capture responses and comments. This issue might be attributed to its status as a newer feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Sprout Social to save time monitoring social media, centralizing messages and comments to prevent missing feedback. This helps manage overwhelming volumes efficiently.

Great Scheduling & Inbox Features, But Pricey for Small Teams

What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to schedule out posts and see the post previews. Plus, the inbox feature means that you can read DMs without showing the user you've read their message, in case you need a little time to get more information to craft a response.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, the worst thing about Sprout is the price! We are a small team with a small budget, so we only have one user seat and that's tough. But we make it work because we like the product so much.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout gives us one place to go and monitor all our social media accounts, which saves us time as a small team. Plus, we are able to be proactive and schedule out posts, which is an added benefit.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that it's organized, user-friendly, and has so many features to make both scheduling and analyzing data easy for any marketer.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that it's costly to add more users to an account. I wish more people from my team could pop in and see the platform to know more about how I work. Also, tagging (especially for LinkedIn) is often glitchy and sometimes means I have to post natively on the platform itself, which can cause some inconsistencies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed easy ways to track cross-platform progress, and separate out tags to improve clarity and know more specifically how we're working toward KRs. Our business runs both DTC and BTB, so being able to switch and customize views makes it easier to track KR's in all aspects of the business.

Intuitive Scheduling Worth the Price Tag

What do you like best about the product?
Sprout Social is the most intuitive scheduling platform I've used for social media.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is pricing. It's definitely the most expensive scheduling tool I've used, but the usability makes it worth it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout Social has reduced the time I take to plan and measure our social media success. As the only marketing person on my team, the time I have saved using Sprout Social has allowed me to be more efficient across other marketing channels.

Great Multi-Account Access, But Filtering and API Limitations Frustrate

What do you like best about the product?
There is the ability to have multiple accounts in one, im able to get access to the data i need and be updated about API changes
What do you dislike about the product?
No way to have post level API. Requires 2FA so can't share logins. Very difficult to filter out paid posts
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
APIs allow for automated data updates. This makes analytics a much more efficient process to pull data out and put into reporting

What do you like best about the product?
I primarily use Sprout Social for its scheduling and analytics features, and I've been very satisfied with both. The platform offers customizable options that make scheduling social content across our channels straightforward and efficient. I rely on Sprout Social for managing all our social platforms, and I much prefer it over using any other tool.

The analytics component helps me monitor how our content is performing and provides valuable insights into user engagement on our platforms.

Whenever I've encountered issues or had questions, customer support has been excellent. They have guided me through any problems, helped me find solutions, and even suggested alternative approaches to simplify my workflow. Overall, I truly enjoy using Sprout Social, and incorporating it into my daily routine and planning has been a great experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, the only thing I don't like about Sprout Social is that Reddit is not included as a platform, they should definitely add that in!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout is solving how to integrate themselves into manager's social plans and it has been beneficial for me when I schedule my own content and need to pull analytics for social content.

What do you like best about the product?
It is very user friendly and easy to navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is often hard to get assistance especially since our support person is changed so often.

I am able to schedule posts in advance which helps when it comes to planning a calendar.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how easy and intuitive Sprout is to use!
What do you dislike about the product?
Some tagging functions are still unavailable or unreliable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Social posting is done by several members of our team (including outside consultants) and Sprout gives us visibility to the work the whole team is doing on multiple platforms. Sprout is also helpful for sharing social calendars and analytics with stakeholders.

I like that we meet with our account manager on a regular basis and he helps to keep us informed about new features

Want to be able to use it to analyze the sentiment of comments on competitor's posts, not only stuff I have posted

What do you like best about the product?
I find the social reporting tool of Sprout Social to be a primary highlight and an invaluable asset for my work. Despite some inconsistencies which may be API-driven, the tool remains a strong point for reviewing performance over different time frames. Additionally, I value the layout of the dashboard. Once familiar with where key metrics are located, it’s straightforward to pull and export reports for quarterly reporting, which is beneficial for my workflow. The robust reporting features are what keeps me engaged with the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the app not as intuitive as other social scheduling platforms, especially when managing pages and accounts connected to the app. Additionally, it's quite limiting in terms of the quantity of accounts that can be connected, particularly for users who are not admin super users. The inconsistencies in the social reporting tool, which vary from quarter to quarter, make it difficult to review effectively what is working over time. The social scheduling features are extremely limited when it comes to Instagram compared to 'Later,' making it challenging to set images and tag collaborators properly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout Social's social reporting tool is valuable, aiding in quarterly and annual reviews, and its dashboard is user-friendly for report generation. However, its social scheduling features and account management are limited, especially for non-admin users.
