Feature-Rich Platform with Room for Improvement

  • November 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lots of options and features. Easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its quite expensive when you have a multi-user organization
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It consolidates all social channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter etc.) into one dashboard & inbox.

It lets you schedule content ahead of time across those channels — so your social presence stays consistent without constant manual posting.

It offers deep analytics and reporting — you can see what posts drive engagement, what your audience responds to, and build data-backed strategy.

It includes “social listening” — tracking brand mentions, competitor activity, trends — which gives you market intelligence, not just posting.

It supports team collaboration: assignment of tasks, workflows, approvals — useful when more than one person is managing social.

Efficient for Community Management, Needs AI Enhancements

  • November 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the tag feature in Sprout Social, which significantly facilitates managing sentiment analysis and trending topics. By tagging all incoming content with a sentiment tag such as neutral, negative, or positive, I can effectively track the issues players experience. The ability to assign tags for different types of content, like content response, complaints, and inquiries, makes managing our community substantially more organized and insightful. This manual tagging process provides more accurate and nuanced sentiment analysis, given that automated options sometimes fail to account for sarcasm and tone. The initial setup of Sprout Social was fairly simple, making it accessible and easy to integrate into our existing processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the lack of a feature to bulk tag specific posts limiting, which hampers efficiency when managing large volumes of content. Additionally, the automated sentiment analysis isn't entirely accurate and fails to interpret contexts like sarcasm or tone. This inaccuracy requires manual intervention to ensure correct sentiment tagging. I also feel that the AI advancements in reporting could be enhanced and should continue to develop further. An 'activity log' is missing, which would be beneficial to track who added what tags and when, enhancing accountability and traceability within the team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Sprout Social for consumer customer service, brand health, and sentiment analysis. The tag feature simplifies managing sentiment and trending topics, enhancing my ability to track issues like inquiries and complaints.

Great for Managing Social Media, But Publishing Needs Improvement

  • November 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the link in bio feature, which we use frequently for creating shoppable posts and linking content. This feature is particularly helpful as it extends the functionality of Instagram, making it a platform for direct purchases, which enhances the value of our social media strategy. I also find the overall feed style design pleasant to look at, providing a cohesive view of updates across platforms. This design, although not directly used by me, is significantly beneficial for our social media support team as they engage with and manage community interactions. Additionally, the initial setup of Sprout Social was extremely easy, thanks to the helpful representatives from Sprout who ensured everything went smoothly. We faced no issues during the setup, which made getting started with Sprout Social a hassle-free experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find publishing to be the biggest issue with Sprout Social. There are times when I face challenges with certain nuances on each platform, like customizing content and selecting thumbnails due to the social media platforms continually changing their dimensions and publishing methods. Furthermore, I have encountered issues where posts scheduled through Sprout Social did not publish due to errors that I don't know how to fix. Occasionally, certain functionalities such as posting videos to Pinterest through Sprout were not available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Sprout Social to see all social media platforms in one spot for calendar publishing and manage community engagement through comments and messages.

User-Friendly Platform, But Redundant for Meta Ads

  • November 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is a very user friendly platform that I enjoy using more than other social media products.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's been deemed unnecessary at my company for Meta ads when you can do everything Sprout does and more directly in Meta.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout Social allows me to schedule and batch posts ahead of time, which opens up my workflow for other projects.

Effective Keyword Search, But Room for Improvement

  • November 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the keyword search terms that populate when you're looking for new influencers.
What do you dislike about the product?
The new interface is not as user friendly as the old version. It's more difficult to find profiles metrics such as engagement rate and profile comparisons. I also find the authentication feature is difficult for influencers to navigate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout Social helps me find influencers to partner with and track social media metrics from our campaigns.

Excellent Reporting Tools, But Seat Pricing Limits Team Access

  • November 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Sprout has strong reporting tools, the custom templates make it easy for us to create unique reports for each client we work with + quickly clone them to create new reports week over week.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think having to pay each for each individual seat is quite challenging for us. Our team uses Sprout in different ways between team members. For example, our account managers are the ones who actually use sprout, they build reports, look at insights, etc.

Our junior coordinators don't need access to sprout. They are not in it day to day and are not actually creating these reports. But, it would be really helpful for them to be able to go into the account to observe what reporting looks like, understand how templates are made across each client.

Adding additional seats for these team members does not feel justified for the cost. I would love if there was a way they could access to learn, especially since it is so infrequently that they use the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Generating reports on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis. Being able to quickly compare insights over specific social period.

User-Friendly But Needs UI Improvements

  • November 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find Sprout Social to be incredibly user-friendly, which is a major plus for me as it simplifies my social media management tasks across multiple platforms. The interface, once familiar, greatly aids in streamlining my scheduling processes and daily operations. Additionally, I appreciate that after completing the training courses, the platform is fairly easy to learn, which has significantly enhanced my efficiency in using it. This aspect has allowed me to integrate the tool as part of my overall marketing strategy without overlaps, maintaining a cohesive workflow within our team. The ease of use and learning curve after initial training is appealing, endorsing its capability as a reliable tool in my responsibilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the user interface sometimes hard to learn as a new user. Additionally, I think the reports section could be more user-friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Sprout Social for managing and scheduling across multiple social media platforms, finding it user-friendly after training.

Efficient Platform with Mobile App Limitations

  • November 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that Sprout Social is easy to use and user-friendly. The platform is mostly self-explanatory, making navigation around scheduling, creating, and editing posts consistent and reliable. It organizes all my posts in one platform for all channels and clients, providing a consistent, easy-to-read, and easy-to-understand end-of-month analytics review for all channels. The initial setup was extremely easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The mobile app is completely nonfunctional for scheduling and posting any posts for any of the channels that I use for any of the clients for any posts that involve a photo or video. For some reason, there's an issue between my iPhone, which has over 80,000 photos and videos stored on it on the cloud. Apparently, that creates a problem on Sprout Social's side. They provided me a very cumbersome workaround, which is not useful at all. So I am stuck having to do all my scheduling from my desktop computer and I can't do anything reliably from my phone mobile app using the Sprout Social app. The app can be kinda wonky sometimes as I get error messages for posts that did not go through with no real explanation why. There's always a vague explanation that doesn't really answer it, and I'm never sure exactly what created the problem. Sprout Social sometimes does not allow posts with video resolution files that exceed parameters they say Meta requires, even though I can post directly to Meta with no issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Sprout Social to manage and organize posts on one platform for all clients and channels, providing easy-to-understand monthly analytics reviews.

Powerful Insights, But AI Needs Work

  • November 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find Sprout Social's new AI discovery to be insightful and useful, as it provides valuable insights despite needing further development. The signal searches feature stands out for its ability to conduct comprehensive brand analyses, which I find particularly insightful. These features enable me to compare and analyze data effectively, which adds significant value to my workflow. I appreciate the capability of Sprout Social to narrow down searches using specific hashtags and customize profiles based on campaign requirements, making these search features extremely valuable. The initial setup of Sprout Social was also quite easy, and the support from their team helped us understand and implement the software smoothly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find several aspects of Sprout Social challenging. The 'branch fit' score doesn't work effectively because it primarily pulls from the US database, which doesn't align with my focus on Canadian creators. This functionality seems to prioritize creators with a significant US audience, thus not accurately reflecting the potential fit for campaigns targeted elsewhere. Moreover, while the AI features can be insightful, they often fall short. They sometimes fail to identify niche categories or specific types of creators, like pet creators. This limitation means it often provides results from regions I am not interested in, such as the US or UK, rather than Canada. Additionally, I am disappointed by the lack of backend insight sharing for creators from platforms like Twitch, YouTube, and Snapchat, which limits my ability to fully analyze their potential. The inconsistency in AI performance and these database limitations restrict the tool's efficacy, affecting my workflow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Sprout Social to gain backend insights into influencers, audience demographics, and engagement. It helps refine our campaigns and influencer selections, providing valuable insights for analysis and improving organizational strategies.
