Been working with Iterable for 5 years, fun to watch it evolve and improve
What do you like best about the product?
Iterable's UI is very easy to navigate across template building, journey building and foldering. We've also enjoyed the support we've gotten since we got upgraded to a Strategic customer success manager.
What do you dislike about the product?
We struggle to implement complex experiments without a pretty heavy operational lift, so would love to see some updates to their native experimentation feature. Reporting is rather limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iterable's multichannel approach makes it easy to manage all our channels in one spot. We implement email, direct mail (through webhooks), push, SMS and in-app through Iterable.
Iterable is extremely user-friendly
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Iterable is extremely easy to understand - even without a demo, the platform itself is pretty self-explanatroy. Additionally, they take your needs/recommendations into consideration when deploying new features and tools and the reps do a great job of answering any questions you have an keeping you updated on upcoming changes!
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the reporting tools could be more robust.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iterable allows us to send out automated emails in journeys using drag-and-drop tools, increasing efficiency and eliminating the need of HTML/CSS knowledge to craft and send emails.
Iterable in a nutshell
What do you like best about the product?
Our entire team has learned how to use it in a matter of months, making it a great collaborative tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting options are very limited and make it difficult to get valuable insights or track functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iterbale has solved many of our efficiency issues as we head towards automation for email marketing.
Very good experience with iterable.
What do you like best about the product?
Iterable is very good at providing evidence that we as a company have sent out communication to said customers. It is something we can rely on when querying customers' needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it seems that some email providers do not accept our emails and customers complain that they do not receive our emails. Need more cohesion between email providers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iterable helps us to send out mass emails to our customers. Iterable helps solve the problem of whether emails or text messages were sent as you're able to log into iterable and see whether they received this said communication.
Easy to use, set up is crucial
What do you like best about the product?
Iterable is super easy to use and has many features and options to fit various types of business goals. It can be such a powerful tool to add to your MarTech suite. Also, love all the integations with other tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main thing that we struggled with Iterable was the implementation. The onboarding experience was tough for us and the implementation process wasn't super smooth. Because of that, we're still seeing the effects of that and working through cleaning up data structures.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its a super east to send email campaigns, automate emails, & segment our users into different audiences.
Great product overall
What do you like best about the product?
Iterable opens up a world of options for how you bring data into the system and what data you bring in.
What do you dislike about the product?
In some instances we ran into platform for comings, API integrations with external systems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iterable solved the ability to feed data from different points into one location to build a story. Allowing us to better reach our target goals.
Seemless, competent & a great experience
What do you like best about the product?
The team who supported us during the intergration and implementation stages, plus those who support us ongoing have been fantastic, nothing is too much of an ask! (Very refreshing vs other suppliers!)
System wise, i use it every day, and the interface is really simple, clean, and easy to use - again very different to other systems i've used.

What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is the template management aspect. When you create a base template and then add it to the campaign, if you update the base template, it doesnt automatically update the template within the campaign (so you basically have to update your templates twice).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Previously we had an over complicated system, which looked like it was built in the 90s. You had to be a develper to user it, and it was just not what we needed. Iterable has cut down the time it takes to create campaigns, automate our campaigns and communicate to our customers - allowing us to be more agile.
User-friendly and great customer service help!
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, layout of website, simple steps when building out a campaign, easy integrations and super quick help with any issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Difficult processs to set up conversion data
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Re-targeting abandoned cart leads, promoting sales, engaging with leads/customers, re-targeting churned customers via push/email/sms, segmentation, a/b testing, marketing automations, transactional info with active subs.
Great Tool; Okay Solutioning
What do you like best about the product?
Put aside that Iterable's interface badly needs to be cleaned up, and you'll see that pretty much all the tools you need to be successful are there. Basic things like STO, subject line AI, and fairly robust workflows are all contained. Nested data structures allow you to keep conversion history fairly easily and manage multiple lines of business. And even though I personally hate working with data feeds, I have to admit they do make life easier. Plus, I've never had a major limitation using Handlebars. It might take a few tries, but there's always a way.
I've migrated two clients to Iterable on top of working with three companies full-time who use them, and it's easily the simplest migration I've managed.
The tradeoff between Iterable and anything else isn't going to be feature set. It's going to be UI and support for more complicated things you want to build. But with the right help from other Iterable users, you'll save a fortune by just not letting yourself get woo'd by a prettier design.

What do you dislike about the product?
If you want anything other than basic support, you're going to get dragged through the mud paying for it. So expect 2-4 days for a decent answer on anything more advanced than a question you can find answered in the support center. Mitigate this by finding a user group you can ask questions. Also, solutions architecture isn't wildly helpful from my experience. Again, user groups help this a lot. Lastly, the templates versus campaigns setup is annoying. There should be an option to shut of templates altogether if you're a company who custom codes your emails (which you should).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Email is great, but it's not enough in this multi-channel world. So being able to utilize SMS, push, in-app, and email all in one place allows me to manage communications flow.
Easy to use and understand.
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to use, and how you can create target segments based off who has opened, clicked, or who actually received the email. I like how there is a more customizable option for those who know code and a simple version for those who like to plug and play. I like that you can see click heatmaps. I like how you can get a wide variety of statistics from your emails and how easy it is to organize your campaigns within Iterable. I like how easy it is to create lists within Iterable and how simple it is, but also how complex it can get for stricter targeting. I think Iterable has been great for sending bulk emails for our business. I think it also has a lot of capability that we haven't fully used yet.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only thing I don't like is how you can't see how many clicks you got from sections that send an email compared to those that send someone to a website. E.g. If I have a tile linking out to a landing page, you are able to see this on the heatmap. If I have a photo that leads to an email to send to our business, you can see how many overall clicks the email received, but it doesn't show you which tiles had those clicks and how many individual clicks each tile has on the heatmap.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to make automations for customers we want to keep in constant contact with. It also helps us set up reminders for customers when they are expecting service from us. It allows us to create messaging that is personalized to our customers. It allows us to be creative and test different things out, but also allows us to be successful in those tests. It allows you to really personalize what you want to do, and how you want to do that. For automations, we can test different things. For bulk emails, we can test different things. It helps us save time and overall money.
