Powerful tool, great support, steep learning curve
What do you like best about the product?
Pretty limitless flexibility and customization. Great looking campaigns right out of the box. And the implementation/support is top-notch.
What do you dislike about the product?
There can be a steep learning curve around segmentation triggering automations for the average marketer. And the lack of field mapping on uploads is tough.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted to remove the hard-coded comms from our app to create flexibility & examine the impact of our messaging.
A complete platform with great customer service~
What do you like best about the product?
It's a complete platform to automate your email campaigns, and you can easily create complex workflows. It has useful handlebars and features to segment and personalize the content for your email list. It has a great analytics report in which you can see a detailed breakdown of your campaign performance. Our customer success manager has guided us in navigating the platform and making the most of Iterable's features and updates. Additionally, our email deliverability consultant's meetings have helped us understand how to optimize our process to ensure every email lands in the right inbox.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great to have more triggering options to start and exit a workflow and have more drag-and-drop features to build and design the email layout on Iterable.

Great email marketing platform
What do you like best about the product?
- The email workflow editor (journey, as Iterable calls it) is quite robust and one of Iterable’s most user-friendly and intuitive features.
- The optimization feature for email campaigns is an amazing feature (Send Time Optimization, Quiet Hours, Send Rate Limit) and has proven to improve our engagement rate, as well as reduce our unsubscribe rates.
- Analytics are great and you can really go granular and in-depth; however, if you want a quick overview of a group of campaigns' performance, the Messaging Insights features could have a better user experience.
- Iterable also has a wide variety of features such as catalogs, data feeds, etc, which are quite useful if you’re working with big sets of data (i.e. ecommerce products) and want to personalize user experiences.
- The support is great. If your plan type includes live chat support, it is quite effective and the customer support people are very friendly, effective, and well-trained.
- Iterable is constantly testing and adding new features so the user experience is as good as possible.

What do you dislike about the product?
- The segmentation feature is great, although adding and setting a date property can be very confusing at the beginning, unlike other email marketing tools in which you can easily choose “in the last 30 days”, for example.
- The Experiment (AB testing) feature for email is also a bit confusing at the beginning and requires more effort/clicks than necessary.
- Overall, it's not the most user-friendly platform in the market and the adoption process may take a while, but it’s definitely a very effective one.

Iterable has helped us achieve our email marketing goals, as well as reduce our churn rates.
An intuitive platform with an excellent support team.
What do you like best about the product?
Iterable is an esssential tool for our marketing team. I like that it offers great documentation for those who want to learn more about the product and find ways to customize it based on their company's needs. It is user-friendly and very easy to use. The support team at Iterable is the best I have ever seen. You can always reach out to them when you need help or have questions. The great thing about Iterable is that they constantly improve the platform and offer new features. Iterable is truly the most intuitive email CRM tool which makes it a geat platform to use on a daily.
What do you dislike about the product?
I often find Iterable to be a bit laggy. Sometimes the software doesn't seem to respond to action. I always have to refresh the page in order for me to see the changes I've made (this usually happens when I'm working with the catalog and need to make small updates here and there).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iterable is solving our need for personalized emails with the help of the Catalog. It enables us to send highly targeted emails and promote our services.
User Engagement
What do you like best about the product?
I love the guidance and support our Implementation Consultant - Ashley Noble provided. She was always willing to make time to answer questions and provide any insight to support us in setting up. Our Customer Success Manager - Kelly O'Keefe has been such a gem as well. She is so responsive and is always willing to lend her time and support. Such great Iterable team members have been provided to us! The features and opportunity in Iterable are amazing as well and provides so many unique options to continually engage our users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like to have better known that the platform does require a huge lift from the engineering team as well as has the need for the individual in charge of setting up the campaigns and flows to have a technical background. Our team is very small and so our time and resources are already tight, so it would have helped to know that setting up and fully utilizing a platform such as Iterable does require a larger team or you are not able to get the full benefit that it has to offer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iterable is allowing us to provide more of a personalized experience when it comes to marketing and promoting to our users.

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to build templates and user journeys. The UI is very intuitive and I really enjoy how we can easily track email/sms analytics.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't segment specific groups that go through a journey.

It allows us to communicate to our patients. For example, we can send out email/sms reminders for our research surveys.
Good ESP
What do you like best about the product?
Iterable has been a good email platform. It is fairly easy to learn and use and there are many helpful tools and resources.

We have had some technical issues setting up PN and catalog.

It is sending out marketing and transactional emails, so we are able to communicate with our customers.

I think that the messaging insights could use some work. It is very challenging to pick a date range.

Easy to set up journeys and organise campaigns
What do you like best about the product?
The journey builders are very intuitive and easy to set up as flows. It's easy to organise and categorize our campaigns.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not having a place to host images is a bit of a pain. Also the way experiments are launched is counter-intuitive. Usually platforms allow you to 'launch' an experiment and it would just begin when the associated campaign starts sending, but on Iterable we have to time it so that we also launch the experiment just before the campaign. This is unlrealistic for anything we are scheduling ahead of time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're able to easily report on multiple fairly complex journeys containing all sorts of split tests, gaining invaluable insights into our users.

The amount of customization in the platform is great, there are tons of different channels to utilize and opportunitites for user touchpoints everywhere.
What do you dislike about the product?
As with any CRM, there's a bit of a learning curve. But nothing to really dislike, they continue to improve the UI and make it easier to use.
