great tool, amazing customer success team! dennis is superb!
What do you like best about the product?
my customer success rep, dennis, is great at letting us know about early beta releases and gives us a heads up on any email changes happening that would impact our business. also very responsive to follow ups.
What do you dislike about the product?
i wish the reporting suite was a bit better and tools were more flexible to our business needs (e.g. clicks heat map does not work for us due to our tagging structure).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we are trying to optimize email campaigns and drive more efficiencies with each send. so far the platform is pretty easy and straight forward to use, which my team likes.
A great tool for building comprehensive customer journeys
What do you like best about the product?
I came across Iterable primarily as an email marketing tool, and I was really excited about it's ease-of-use for building multi-faceted customer journeys. It has an adaptive API and its a fairly user-friendly tool to add to your arsenal - especially compared to similar tools that offer integrated CRM/email marketing/automation capabilities. We also love how easy it is to search for and remove users - in my experience that can be complicated in other ESPs.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's expensive, and can be cost prohibitive if you're a smaller organization. The pricing is fair, and makes sense, it just means a not-for-profit may not even have the resources to consider Iterable, even though Iterable could be a great way to build multi-channel journeys that are popular in nonprofits (but often very clunky). It also requires a fairly strong technical team to fully utilize its features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We love it's ease of use with building multi channel customer journeys. It's opened up completely new ways for us to connect with and anticipate customer needs/interests. So the biggested benefit to us are its user journeys, and the visibility it offers for those journeys.
A complex automation platform for Email, SMS and web push notifications
What do you like best about the product?
I have been working with Iterable for a year now and I the features we value the most are:
- Catalogs to manage our translations and products. We have presence in over 17 markets and this makes our Marketing team autonomous from the Dev team.
- Custom events to trigger workflows: we use Google Tag Manager to send events and trigger workflows.
- Datafeeds to call endpoints and send the right content to each user.
- 360 user profile, with user data, events and channel subscriptions.
- Drag and drop editor that allows our Marketing team to create cool templates without the need of an HTML/CSS developer.
All these features helps to personalize and segment your audience to a point that you can target them with specific and relevant content at the right time, and what I really appreciate is that we can create a lot of campaigns and workflows with independence from our Developers team.

What do you dislike about the product?
The possibilities of the Drag and Drop editor are limited. This makes sense because is a third-party solution but it is something that might be improved in the future. We would also like to be able to use a filter in the workflows based on a datafeed answer, to be able to segment in real time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have improved our personalization and automation, creating new campaigns to contact our users in all the steps of the funnel. The main problem we had with other platforms was that we had a big dependence on the Developers team and this made the cost of new campaigns higher. With Iterable, now our Marketing team can segment, test and improve our email without the need of a dev. This saved us money in salaries and improved our quality of communication, allowing us to test A/B a lot of features, automations and specific email details, such as subjects, content and CTAs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I advice Iterable for companies in need of deep personalization and customization.
I love my experience in Iterable.
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is ver intuitive and their customer support is helpful as well. We also have a very great account manager and if there are issues she sees to it that it gets resolved right away.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like they could still improve their knowledge base center. I think that there are still some things missing and we have to go reach out to support instead of just relying on the help center articles.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iterable helped solved the complexity of creating a customer journey. Iterable's workflow feature is so easy to use and once you get the hang of it, it saves you so much time.
Great platform to take marketing to the next level.
What do you like best about the product?
The extensive user profiles are one of the best features. My company uses Segment to pass through events from our website to Iterable, and our user profiles are populated with every action our prospects and customers take. This allows us to create helpful segmentation based on their experiences with us and send behavior-based messaging.
What do you dislike about the product?
Platform UI / UX could stand to get an upgrade. Some features don't work as you would expect them to, and that can make the process a little tricky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Third-party integrations that allow us to pass specific data sets right into Iterable. It will enable us to have omnichannel solutions sent by email, SMS, and push notifications. It can send mails for purchase confirmation, cancellation and password reset.
Supeer flexible, do whatever you want it to, except it is not always reliable
What do you like best about the product?
Iterable's workflow feature is the killer idea of email marketing. Connect pieces together like a jigsaw puzzle to create the perfect marketing campaign and repeat it and automate it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Iterable frequently breaks, losing some user data or their API not being responsive, which means you can't rely on it for transactions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iterable helps us engage with our customers. We use it to contact their about their purchases, their actions, or tell them about upcoming deals or events. The main benefit of Iterable over other solutions is we don't need to hire as many marketers or engineers to do this.
The tool you need to unlock a cohesive customer journey
What do you like best about the product?
The iterable feature I value the most is the extensive user profiles. My company uses Segment to pass through events from our website to itearble, and our user profiles are filled with every action our prospects and customers take. This allows us to create useful segmentation based on their experiences with us, and send behavior-based messaging.
What do you dislike about the product?
I believe the UI could be a little more organized, especially for campaign, workflow, and template management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Iterable, we've been able to bring all of our customer data into one place. Analytics from our website, app, SMS, and email are all centrally located so we never have to worry about missing information or not seeing the full picture.
Strong Customer Service
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite part about Iterable is how intuitive it is. It's extremely easy to build and deploy campaigns across email and push notifications. And it's just as easy to pull data. I'm a big fan of their new 'messaging insights' interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
With my level of use, I have not experienced pain points.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Iterable for regular communication/affinity building with email and push notifications.
Well-rounded
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to automate follow-up sends with the workflows. Pulling lists of users is so easy and the feature to send those lists straight to my Facebook Ads account makes creating audiences super efficient!
What do you dislike about the product?
Not very intuitive - definitely daunting to dive into at first
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using it to pull lists of users based on very specific criteria
Incredibly powerful marketing automation platform
What do you like best about the product?
Iterable allows me to use SO MUCH data created by our users. The potential it creates for personalization is really incredible, and every Iterable employee, from implementation on, has been a joy to work with. List creation is a breeze, documentation is strong, and the product team is responsive to feature requests.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve is a bit steep. We've got the hang of it now but the first few months were a little tough, especially learning how to use handlebar logic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Emailing users based on custom events that we have absolute control over.
