SolarWinds Server and Application Monitor

What do you like best about the product?
SolarWinds monitoring is a very reliable tool, with a very wide scope and provides real time data about the servers and applications, is very user friendly and easy to understand, easy to create dashboards and reports
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it gets very slow while login in, it has taken about 2 to 3 minutes just loading
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monitoring the health of our servers and applications which gives us a heads up in real time if something is going wrong

What do you like best about the product?
SAM has been most helpful for us to monitor all server and applications that we need monitored. Its allowed us to create customized alerts and have all our alerts go directly to the parties that need to be involved.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our only dislike is that some of the alerting configurations were not very intuitive at first.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Like mentioned before, we are able to notify the exact parties that need notified so that issues can be worked on in real time.

What do you like best about the product?
This platform monitors and reports on your network environment with real-time data points and is very customizable. The user community forum is one of the best around.
What do you dislike about the product?
Once you show interest in this product the sales team can be a bit overwhelming with follow up emails and calls.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are monitoring the entire wired network for uptime, throughput and latency

not able to add custom fields to the alert

What do you like best about the product?
Solarwinds provides us with the most accurate data real time and creates the incidents the moment it detetcts something is not working.
What do you dislike about the product?
We wish that once it opened all the tickets when a system went down, it would also close them once it detected the systems were up, or if it would add comments or notes to say it has resolved, or lower the priority,
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The proper noc teams get notified when something goes down and that improves the resolution time.

What do you like best about the product?
Get reports, alerts and history on network outage issues
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish there was the ability to flag the incidents for flapping, so it would group the incidents together
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solarwinds is how we monitor our routers, switches and servers for their network connectivity. We have gotten a much bigger understanding as to when issues on the network have arose.

I love the geolocation the app can give to allow us to view where the issues are in real time

The popularity of he product has declined in recent years

We can see where the network issues are, we can move to fix any concerns before they cause customer impacts
