Great service
What do you like best about the product?
Great service - easy to understand and great UI
What do you dislike about the product?
Understand the journey required for enrollment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Locking devices down. GPS tracking. Installing updating apps.
JumpCloud is surprisinly good
What do you like best about the product?
The integration with a lot of solutions in the market makes JumpCloud something very easy to use. We don't need to change our stack and technologies: JumpCloud just has it this integration already done.
The numerous connectors available and the documentation makes the whole experience very fast to start from zero to hero.
The numerous connectors available and the documentation makes the whole experience very fast to start from zero to hero.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some connectors need to be revised and some documentation could aware of some possible problems or consequences in use integration, like the Google Workspace one that already forces every user on Google platform to already have an account on JumpCloud. In our specific use case, we started with a few users to understand how it works, and all other users dropped out of their Gmail accounts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud is helping and fixing two major problems that we had: concentrating users in one platform avoiding the need to create the same user on different platforms and creating a new layer of security, that makes it simple to onboard and offboard new users. Also, we can set and force MFA, and passwords with good complexity and rotation of this.
Competent UI Makes Management Easy
What do you like best about the product?
When you use Active Directory or other platforms it's easy to lose track of who you placed where and in what group. Jumpclouds UI is simple, pleasing to look at, and intuitive. It makes a world of difference to have a UI that makes itself comprehensible. Managing my devices has never been easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jumpcloud is great but it is not perfect. There are times when it has created issues on both our user and administrative accounts. However, I would take into consideration two things: First that they have always kept open communication about these issues and resolved them, and Second, Azure and Active Directory are a little more than 10 years ahead of them. Given time, Jumpcloud will be a strong competitor if it isn't already.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had an issue that would restrict the administrator's account with the same parameters that we set for the user. However, we were able to work around it and have not encountered the issue since then.
Ease of access and management
What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud makes it so easy to manage all of your users, sync with active directory, and provision anything you might need to workstations. Takes all of the guess work out of administration.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes changes in JumpCloud (password, user, etc.) can take a bit of time to apply; sometimes takes 2 restarts of the workstation in order for the changes to register. Other than that, great piece of software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud keeps all of my users centralized and makes ease of access a breeze. No longer do I need to go into the server to add a guest user - I can do that straight from the dashboard.
Very good overall experience with JumpCloud
What do you like best about the product?
Documentation. All features are well documented, with detailed and accurate walkthroughs for the most important tasks.
Customer support is very quick.
Customer support is very quick.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some logs are not very user-friendly (for example, device agent logs have errors that are irrelevant, and some logs with user actions are not always clear, which makes it harder for troubleshooting).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us obtain SOC2 compliance, as it covers many SOC2 requirements.
Streamlined User & Device Management
What do you like best about the product?
I like JumpCloud's simple SSO and the user interface that make user management easier. The laptop agent for managing MacBooks is particularly useful for me, saving me countless hours setting up laptops and deploying devices. I also appreciate that JumpCloud combines user management and device management, which was a key reason for switching from previous solutions like OneLogin and Addigy MDM. The initial setup was super easy, which is a great plus.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial setup of JumpCloud could be more straightforward, especially during the QR code and 'I Already have an app' portion. Many iPhone users mistakenly scan the QR code with their camera, similar to how they would scan a restaurant menu. It needs to be easier to understand for less tech-savvy users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud streamlines IT user management, device management, and deployment. It simplifies onboarding and offboarding, saving me countless hours in setting up and deploying laptops.
Jumpcloud
What do you like best about the product?
SCIM feature with couple of apps. Provisioning and deprovisioning made easy ! It saved me a lot of time with manual provisioning plus the community portal has a lot of great automation
What do you dislike about the product?
Outdated SSO documents with a couple of partners e.g Knowbe4. Steps were really not working so had to get help from both parties to complete a very simple integration
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Identity sprawl first and foremost. I joined our org without Jumpcloud yet so had to save all passwords in a password protect tool now things are getting better with JC in place.
Powerful IAM, MDM and Password Manager Tool
What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud has been an essential tool for our IT team to consistently provide quality employee support by better managing our devices. This consistency is a must for any IT team in a fully remote work environment. The recent release of a dedicated password manager is huge plus for our organization as passwords are now more secure and organized than they were previously.
What do you dislike about the product?
MDM for Mac devices has caused issues in the past. This is mostly relating to having an invalid service token for the admin account when the OS was originally installed, forcing a reinstall the entire OS to get JumpCloud properly configured.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud has solved the most significant problem newly fully remote companies experience: MDM. Being able to properly manage and configure policies for Mac, Windows and Linux devices has improved the overall security of the organization.
Fantastic idP and device management! JumpCloud has it all!
What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud is very simple to use. Very feature rich and can give you great control over SAML attributes. I like how you can assume the same ID/GID for users in an existing IPA environment so that permissions remain the same and I like how you can upload your own SSH keys, which can then be distributed to the servers that said users have access to. Customer support is top notch as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Needs better software management for Windows/Mac. Had the right idea with chocolatey for Windows but seems to have been abandoned for the software catalog which uses winget. Would be awesome to have the same flexibility to deploy apps by just providing an app ID. Would also be great if additional Linux support could be added. For example, adding support for Alma Linux 8 and above for the JumpCloud agent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud is helping us to move away all of our users from on-premise AD in order to unify credentials against our entire application landscape. It is also our MFA and MDM provider

What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside I found with JumpCloud is that some teams are not familiar with chocolatey, so application deployment sometimes might not be entirely straightforward to groups unfamiliar with chocolatey.
