Amazing service combined with a great platform

  • March 03, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Service that comes with the platform. When I had a question, I asked out rep, which was answered quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is still plenty of items I wish I could do as a management of equipment that is still not available, but I am sure it will come soon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One place for Dell and Apple for us is a huge plus. Being able to provide user identity for our two different OS is terrific.

Fantastic

What do you like best about the product?
I use Jumpcloud's free tier to help manage user accounts within my homelab. It hasn't failed me yet and their easy to install agents help keep everything in sync. They even help me take care of menial tasks like applying OS updates across all of my VMs. Thanks!!!
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found anything yet not to absolutely love.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SSO, LDAP, RADIUS, and mass system administration. These are all the sorts of things you would need a full IT staff for. I am but a simple home-labber, but I still get those same benefits with JumpCloud.

Easy to setup and maintain the client

  • March 03, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The JumpCloud is straightforward to set up. Most likely, the user interface is clean and needed. The control center is accessible, and lots of prebuilt libraries to control the client.
What do you dislike about the product?
Password management on macOS is terrible. It will sync to your user account but rarely sync that same password to your FileVault (encryption) login. This causes users to have passwords from three changes ago as FileVault and their current for their user account.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud solved the problem that I can centrally control the devices with the policy applied, such as Cortana Disable, etc. There is a minimum time required to learn JumpCloud as Administrator since the program design is easier to understand.

It just makes sense

What do you like best about the product?
I like the efficiency jumpcloud provides to onboarding and off boarding users, devices, and resources. Jumpcloud makes it easy to control access to different services and tools. It's a software that maximizes efficiency and it truly just makes sense.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have had issues with jumpcloud support or documentation not being knowable or accurate enough which was a real bummer. I think they should invest in this area to improve the overall satisfaction among enterprise users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's providing a source of truth and most importantly redundancy. Jumpcloud solves the LDAP as a service problem in a genius way which makes it easy to interstate with other like tools. It allows for a custom set up for any need.

JumpCloud - Or How I Learned to Love Someone Else's Forrest

  • March 03, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Everything, what's not to like? JumpCloud has enabled me to manage my home computers and personal business acounts, as well as scale two separate companies with ease!

The User Group associations to all platforms make it simple and straightforward to provide access as needed. Having RADIUS, LDAP(S), MFA with Push & TOTP, and so many other features has been incredibly powerful and affordable for SMB.
What do you dislike about the product?
The idea of more a-la-carte features both excites and frustrates me. As long as key features are not gated or impaired by having one or more "add-ons" purchased, I have no issue continue to use and implement them - as add-ons.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a centralized dashboard for user associations to groups, devices, applications, and other has been incredibly helpful. Since starting to use the product in 2019, the dashboard has evolved immensely and only in ways that improve it's functionality.

What do you dislike about the product?
- Only US Servers (no choice for EU)
- Limited partner/support program and cobtacts in europe

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fast device setup (zero touch enrolement) & Management
Enforce policies (OS Updates & Patches, disc encryption)
Central user & access management
2FA for VPN via Jumpcloud RADIUS
Enterprise WPA

Easy for my team to manage

  • March 02, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Centralized User Manager in the cloud. With our team fully remote, we have to tools to manage our company assets and control access.
What do you dislike about the product?
Trying to use the JumpCloud Password Manager, the UX is not great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With users completely remote and having to deploy devices directly from where we purchase, we can easily manage the devices and access using JumpCloud.

Moving to JumpCloud has been absolutely one of the best networking decisions we've made!

  • March 02, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The centralized management of all of our users, computers (Mac and PC), management of SSO in one central space, and overall value. It's been a great platform for us with our multiple locations and many different types of platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, I don't really have any specific negatives. It's been a solid platform for us and we have no specific intention of leaving JC unless the pricing becomes prohibitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our old design used MS Active Directory for user and device management for our multiple locations. That created a need to have a VPN in place between our offices, and with the simple limitations of a locally hosted directory server, we struggled to maintain a secure and easy to use environment. And being a smaller organization with no internal IT professional, the overall management was just too much for us. JumpCloud has allowed us to continue to manage our user directory, and all of the other components, in house. That has saved us cost and allowed us a much greater level of security and flexibilty.

Modern Solution for Modern Problems

  • March 02, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We live in a cloud-native world, and JumpCloud (finally) gives us a cloud-native solution to Identity Management, SSO, MDM, Patch Management, and Secure Endpoint Policy Enforcement, all wrapped up in a single platform! As an IT and Security Services Provider, I use Jumpcloud internally and highly recommend to all of my clients. I've found their support staff to be incredibly knowledgeable and responsive
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much to dislike to be completely frank, but there's always room for improvement. Policy management is a hard problem and I would love to see some of the same innovative energy that is evident across the platform geared towards making management of device and user policies more streamlined and automatable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Platform-independent Identity and Access Management is a huge selling point for JumpCloud, especially with the ability to easily centralize and manage your enterprise "local" and cloud accounts. Having MDM built-in to the same platform adds immense value and being highly customisable through the use of commands makes the JumpCloud platform an invaluable tool.

Great AD alternative

  • March 02, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We needed an alternative to On-Prem AD and Azure AD and one which worked well with Windows and Mac, we came across Jumpcloud, it's a great service, easy to set up and manage with great features.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a great service, I honestly can't think of anything that I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Clients who require a service to manage their systems and make them more secure. THey usually have a mixed environment or Windows and Mac
