Great product for IT support professionals
What do you like best about the product?
The customer support service is beneficial with instructions and answers. The product is constantly adding new services with security, ease of access, and deployment. It's easy to set up and use for an entire organization, and the console is very straightforward—lots of information and training for both admins and users.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think this is based on the needs of customers. There are so many features that admins might not use all of it and would require some time to set up in the beginning. I think it's best for customer support to walk through the system based on customers' needs since it's always helpful than just watching videos and articles.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving with adding user's accounts remotely to our computers. It's secure and will lock user account with multiple failed attemps.
It's also helpful with deploying software remotely for new devices.

Simple and effective
What do you like best about the product?
Simplicity. JumpCloud's interface is simple, easy to navigate, and clean.
Pricing is great, compares very well against the competition, and feature set is complete AND growing.

What do you dislike about the product?
Very little! There's not much to dislike in Jumpcloud. The free tier is awesome for small organizations, and the pricing is competitive as you grow.
As a MacOS admin, I've been glad to see that MacOS and iOS management options are expanding, and that JumpCloud is investing solidly in the Apple ecosystem. In the broader support realm, MDM support in general has expanded greatly since I first became a JumpCloud customer.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simple cross-platform logins lured me in. I'm a MDM administrator by day, and started using JumpCloud for my personal/family systems, then quickly realized that it could compete with any of the systems I administer for a living. Now happily using it for my small .org and looking for additional ways to leverage it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it. Free to try, what isn't to like?
Still top of the list in my opinion
What do you like best about the product?
There are so many cool features with JumpCloud. One coolest by far is the directories. Syncing users and credentials across platforms makes management so easy for this two-man team! AND! They've added mobile device management!
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm finding fewer and fewer things to put on my con list... MacOS can be a bit of a bear at times BUT that isn't JumpCloud's problem, it's the way they have to implement with macOS.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are going domainless! Removing all local domain controllers. The ease of deployment is so nice. We've finally decommissioned our on-site domain controller thanks to JumpCloud!

JumpCloud's interface is not as interactive and user-friendly at first, but after setting up and implementing, the experience improves.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud helped solve the connection between user and admin. I have realized the hoops admin/IT has to go through to prepare the user's equipment.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ensure that your JumpCloud account is created, installed, and running on equipment before deploying to the user.

Powerful AD Alternative in the Cloud
What do you like best about the product?
The platform comes with pre-made plug 'n play policies for all major platforms. Why bind a Mac to AD when the platforms just weren't meant for one another? I can confidently say that being an IT administrator through the pandemic would have been 10x more difficult without JumpCloud. This platform lets us continue driving major roadmap projects despite a remote workforce, such as migrating to JumpCloud MDM and deploying new apps via JumpCloud commands and VPP. These are very powerful features that allow us to professionalize our IT offering leaps and bounds beyond where we were. From allowing cross-platform users to self-service password rotations to querying the environment with the fantastic Powershell Module, JumpCloud is an impressive offering that has been rock solid for our organization. The great documentation never hurts, either!
What do you dislike about the product?
While I believe JumpCloud is a fantastic platform, there's always room for improvement. As of writing this review, the grouping and overall organizational system leave a lot to be desired. For example, there's currently no means of nesting groups, and there's no real concept of OU's. All groups sit at the 'root level' of the organization, and they rely on being bound to devices, policies, or applications. We would love to have a 'Finance' group or OU and then be able to nest 'Finance-FTE', 'Finance-Contractor', etc right within that Finance group or OU. This lack of "organizational structure" is one of the few things we believe AD does handle a bit better. It's been difficult for us to organize our user and device groups this way, as we have yet to find a super effective and easily searchable naming convention for our dozens of groups.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being an IT administrator through a pandemic has been much easier with a robust and cross-platform offering like JumpCloud. We've been able to add key features to our organization, such as MDM, Zero Touch deployment, configurations/script logic, user self-service, and more, through a pandemic nonetheless! These features help us get machines into the hands of our users faster, more securely and also provide the user with a great experience.
Easy SSO and Access Control
What do you like best about the product?
The ease and speed that a user can be provisioned and assigned access to devices, systems, or services. Between Privileged Access Management and SSO integrations, we have used JumpCloud to better monitor and control access for users for our internal services and those we leverage with third parties.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of nested or subgroups for either devices or users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud has allowed us to control system and service access with a centralized approach. We have saved time in managing access and support requests by leveraging JumpCloud's PAM and SSO functionality. The support for 2FA in conjunction with SSO has relieved some of our security concerns and has allowed us to feel more at ease when integrating with other third-party services.
