JumpCloud Cloud Domain
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to setup and manage. Can be done remotely or using push technology.
What do you dislike about the product?
Need more availability to add standard applications (i.e. Microsoft Products)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Taking a small business with no user management for their computers to a Domain style where they can be added to various groups and restricted as needed.
Excellent Alternative to break free from Microsoft Active Directory
What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud hits all of the points I needed to finally ditch Active Directory. The console layout is good, and it works well for both Mac and Windows machines. The online Knowledge Base is excellent and provides the answers to just about every question or problem. Implementation is straightforward, and adding a service like RADIUS was quite simple. On the few occasions where I had to reach out to support, the customer service was prompt and exceptional.
I use Jumpcloud daily, to monitor password changes, assign devices to users and make sure our Google integrations are working as expected.

What do you dislike about the product?
I had some occasions where the agent on a computer just stopped reporting in. This is an easy fix, and it does not happen frequently, but it is annoying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted to move away from Microsoft, AND Active Directory and toward something that would allow us to manage our devices better and unify user accounts under one master password to access Google Workspace, RADIUS, as well as some other SSO applications. JumpCloud ticked all of the boxes for us.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do yourself a favor and take a look at Jumpcloud; you can get started for free with a few computers to test it out. Ask questions, reach out to support, and you will see that they are a great company.
Easiest IdP to Install
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of the implementation was remarkable. I have installed Okta, Azure, PingOne, PingFed, Idaptive, and Imprivata and, hands down, JumpCloud was the quickest and easiest to install. The few times I called support the call was taken immediately. Their SAML implementation is excellent. Documentation is very thorough.
What do you dislike about the product?
SCIM support could be better - had some challenges creating custom attributes. There really wasn't any downside.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need authentication services for our web app from an IdP. We authenticate at the IdP and authorize locally. So SSO was critical. Additionally, we use groups and users within our app so SCIM provisioning was a must have.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Having implemented all of the major IdPs I can tell you that hands down JumpCloud's SSO was as good as any and their implementation superior than all the other products I tested.

At this moment no complaint or concern with the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
On problem solved is to adopt an unified tool to multiple OS.
Great Product
What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud is easy to use and simple to learn.
What do you dislike about the product?
In some cases, I have been required to teach end-users the basics of using JC. It would be helpful to have a guide for such users that takes them through fundamental steps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use JumpCloud in an MSP environment, providing cloud directory alternates to companies looking to move away from bulky physical hardware.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Having used several cloud directories in the past, I can say this is by far the cheapest and best I've come across.
a great way to not rely on Microsoft Active Directory
What do you like best about the product?
As our organization moved from on-premises servers to the cloud, we needed a solution for workstation user access control. Since we are already g-suite users, Jumpcloud was the answer for us. We initially just wanted a way to login with google credentials but have since added insights, MDM, and system policies. The API is also great for automated reports that we have created.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that I do not like is that many of our users often forget that their Jumpcloud account is synced with their Google account. Sometimes they get confused when they update their password.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We sought to get rid of our AD server and accomplished that immediately. As Jumpcloud has added features, we have also gained MDM and system insights.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There are other options available, but we found JumpCloud to be the best for managing Windows, Mac and Linux workstations.
Cloud based, cross platform device management
What do you like best about the product?
So, so easy to use, new features added all the time expand the value offering and functionality. Especially enjoy the app management for Windows and macOS; these make deploying and managing apps a lot simpler
What do you dislike about the product?
Support run on US time, which means responses can be a little slow in Europe
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Replacing legacy AD infrastructure with a simple to use platform
We use jump cloud for zero touch experience and its best so far
What do you like best about the product?
It allows you to use agents and can integrate across various apps and platform, e.g Google workspace and 0365
What do you dislike about the product?
It does not allow windows devices for VPP
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its quite easy to use and user friendly
Great support for small businesses
What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud was a positive vector in starting our small business on solid grounds. Having one central identity management integrated with MDM helped us hit the ground running. Their support was fast and reliable in troubleshooting our problems.
The pricing and scalability is very competitive wich is a big plus for a starting business.

What do you dislike about the product?
We are eagerly awaiting improvements on the Apple MDM capabilities. Apps and licenses management would simplify our workflow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One single source of truth in identity and devices management removed the headhache of managing our remote users.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For identity management, look no further. The support and eased of use is well worth it. It also is a great basic Apple MDM service, though if you need advanced features it might be worthwhile to find a specialized one. We found that most of them play well with JumpCloud.
