Great Product

What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud is easy to use and simple to learn.
What do you dislike about the product?
In some cases, I have been required to teach end-users the basics of using JC. It would be helpful to have a guide for such users that takes them through fundamental steps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use JumpCloud in an MSP environment, providing cloud directory alternates to companies looking to move away from bulky physical hardware.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Having used several cloud directories in the past, I can say this is by far the cheapest and best I've come across.

    Financial Services

a great way to not rely on Microsoft Active Directory

What do you like best about the product?
As our organization moved from on-premises servers to the cloud, we needed a solution for workstation user access control. Since we are already g-suite users, Jumpcloud was the answer for us. We initially just wanted a way to login with google credentials but have since added insights, MDM, and system policies. The API is also great for automated reports that we have created.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that I do not like is that many of our users often forget that their Jumpcloud account is synced with their Google account. Sometimes they get confused when they update their password.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We sought to get rid of our AD server and accomplished that immediately. As Jumpcloud has added features, we have also gained MDM and system insights.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There are other options available, but we found JumpCloud to be the best for managing Windows, Mac and Linux workstations.

Great support for small businesses

  • July 13, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud was a positive vector in starting our small business on solid grounds. Having one central identity management integrated with MDM helped us hit the ground running. Their support was fast and reliable in troubleshooting our problems.

The pricing and scalability is very competitive wich is a big plus for a starting business.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are eagerly awaiting improvements on the Apple MDM capabilities. Apps and licenses management would simplify our workflow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One single source of truth in identity and devices management removed the headhache of managing our remote users.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For identity management, look no further. The support and eased of use is well worth it. It also is a great basic Apple MDM service, though if you need advanced features it might be worthwhile to find a specialized one. We found that most of them play well with JumpCloud.

Minimizing the complexity of having a Active Directory Infrastructure

  • July 13, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
One of the greatest feature of Jumpcloud is the ability to have a Directory without ever having setup an LDAP solution or Active Direcrory that offers seemless usability and integration across Windows, Linux & even network devices via Radius.

The Radius feature alone helped us set up a NPS via Raidus authentication for our wireless network, firewalls and switches.

The simplified integration of our linux servers compared to having them authenticate via Active Directory is another feature that We cannot imagine to not having in our environment at all.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I wish to have improved in the future pertains to the Radius feature not having Radius Accounting support or at least a log of the users who logged in via the Radius feature of Jumpcloud.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I started using Jumpcloud just for the Radius feature, now We have practically deployed it to any system that We can utilize it.

JumpCloud is a great alternative for user authentication and MDM device management

  • July 13, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
There is no other solution that packs in MDM for Apple IOS and Microsoft Windows devices at this price point. Jumpcloud has enabled the decommissioning of on-premise AD servers and allow SSO with all oAuth 2.0 providers such as Microsoft or Cisco Duo etc..
What do you dislike about the product?
there is no way currently to Sync to AAD from a jump cloud solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simple Cloud based authentication service, which allows SME adoption of Synology NAS devices for local applications and services.

    Information Technology and Services

Excellent cloud based authentication solution in a growing world of remote work.

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to add/disable users instantly as well as Mac Policies.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing so far, everything is great so far with the implementation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main issue we have solved is Macintosh to Windows Active Directory Integration and keeping passwords in sync.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a Cloud based replacement for Active Directory or something that integrates with your current Active Directory, this is exactly the solution that you need.
