Great Access Management
What do you like best about the product?
Easily assign permissions to machines across multiple clouds.
What do you dislike about the product?
I only wish everything was free. Worth it though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are providing an IAM-like access control to our devs and clients
Modern approach to directory/mac management
What do you like best about the product?
Password resets are easy with the jump cloud agent.
What do you dislike about the product?
Username rename script for migrating to jump cloud isn't great. Shouldn't require a separate admin account, and should be tailored for pushing with other industry-standard tools such as Jamf.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are implementing user password policy with jump cloud to prep for soc2.
Wasn’t sure what to expect
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and barrier of entry. Took minutes to get going and easily deployed in my homelab
What do you dislike about the product?
The support site was a little difficult to navigate but not too bad overall. Finding videos to walk me through certain areas was a little difficult. Maybe I was in the wrong area though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No longer having to maintain a host of vms just for ad is a game changer. Just quick and easy to get going
Cloud AD

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, at this time I am very pleased with the service.

Lack of Active Directory
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a cloud AD solution, you won't regret choosing JumpCloud.
Jumpcloud is pretty awesome!
What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud has positioned itself as an essential tool for IT team everywhere. The fact that it's capable of managing macs, windows, and Linux as well as host of other features, is a true testament to the great team they have.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the UI could use some small adjustments. It's getting better with time but more progress could be made there. I'd also like see an SSO browser widget like Okta and Onelogin have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We leverage the Jumpcloud platform to its fullest extent!
Using Jumpcloud is easy making AD navigation more efficient.
What do you like best about the product?
Reset passwords and provide admin rights.
Very easy to deploy and has real-time agent installation to Jumpcloud portal.
Easy to provide admin rights when needed.

What do you dislike about the product?
Gathering reports should be easy and simple.
Get specific notifications of any errors when enrolling a device. This will be very helpful during troubleshooting.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I encountered one instance where there were two\three agents with the same hostname that appeared on the Jumpcloud portal. The Jumpcloud support told me to delete the old one and maintain the latest device. This made me realize that it was installed twice\thrice in a single machine.
JumpCloud SSO implementation
What do you like best about the product?
The way that we link the accounts with the devices is really amazing, after that we can do many things and there are new features that I did not have the time to look at them yet. Easy creation of accounts, the agent supports all the OS that is out there and easy to install.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far nothing. It is too soon to judge since we began 2~3 months ago the use of the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The most important right now is the SSO with the Mac OS and Linux OS machines. In order to be compliant with our ISO 27001 policies where we were required to do so. The implementation was super easy and without too many things (install agent, send invitation to the user, link the device with the account, Done).
As an End user, I love that it adds a layer of security
What do you like best about the product?
The thing I like most about the tool is the added security to my machine. It really does help me feel like my computer is safe even if it's stolen. I don't have to worry about someone stealing personal information or being able to access company documents. Also if I ever need to have my computer updated by the IT managers, they can just remote in, see what versions I am running, and then from there update it as they see fit.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing that I do not like is that our admins can actually update the machine at any time. So this means I might be in the middle of something and it updates. Not ideal but I figure there must be a better way to schedule. I think this is more on the management of our IT team but if there were maybe blocks or warnings that Jumpcloud could put in for our admins so that way it does not disrupt our workflows. The other issue I have heard is that some people just do not like to be watched consistently. I don't think that is an issue at our company as we are pretty open and trust each other, but it is just something to thing about.
Lastly, the only other thing I do not like about this is that my machine locks very frequently. I always have to be waking it up. If I just take the dogs out for a walk real quick to use the bathroom and come back, it is already locked and I don't want it to seem like I am slacking, I just needed to run out and do something real quick.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It seems like it helped solve the management of our systems and updates. Before we had JumpCloud, everything was manually managed and computers would always be needing to be sent out for repair on something that was not really an issue. Also a lot of troubleshooting issues have been resolved as well. Some of the things that we saw were issues were actually just knowledge or educational issues. This was our IT team can remote in and help walk us through what to do and how to setup each computer.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure to have a good computer to support this
The only all-in-one authorization and identity management solution!
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to have so many things under one roof: LDAP, MFA, system policies, audit logs, and so much more!
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of MDM for devices other than Mac (Android and iOS should be prioritized for MDM)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Finally, moving away from on-prem Active Directory and group policy has been on our to-do list for some time, and JumpCloud is making it possible to accomplish this! Securing admin access using MFA to systems is one of the best security features for us!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
JumpCloud offers a ton of consolidated features right out of the gate, but there is still work to be done. Most organizations should find what currently exists in the product extremely helpful and easy to set up and use from an admin and end-user perspective.
JumpCloud as directory
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to control people and devices in just one console
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that the login page URL is not different for regular users and for administrator users. Because of that, the browser can no store two different passwords and apply them automatically when login with the different roles.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it mainly for SSO and controlling the computer of the employees.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is really nice to use and it has so many possibilities for management: users, computers, network infrastructure, SSO, LDAP, policies, password policies.
