Multicloud-ready DaaS
What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud plug-and-plays to most platforms so it's almost a no-brainer for IT teams to have everything integrated through single sign-on.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing to dislike, really. Everything works perfectly so far! If anything, there are some new features I'd like to see in JumpCloud (they're on the roadmap already), but all features that are available today are really well created.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There were many: Reduced costs by centralizing IAM for all our platforms and products, super-quick software deployment with the bundled Chocolatey, MDM for Apple, policies for Windows, Mac and Linux... I believe the main advantage is to have all your IAM on a separate DaaS infrastructure with JumpCloud. This made possible for us to have a much quicker multi-cloud architecture, since all there is left for everyone to do was to focus on coding. SSO/SAML is key and JumpCloud does it really well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I have about 15 years of experience on MS AD, and the speed and ease of use of JumpCloud are unmatched. In today's world of CASB/SASE, zero-trust, multifactor and biometric authentication mechanisms, the ONLY way to go is to detach your directory from your "main application infrastructure". If you intend to move your architecture to the cloud, JumpCloud is the easiest way of doing so if you don't want to worry about managing a critical infrastructure while having all the benefits of it and all the added advantages of having your authentication all in one place.

Not applicable as there is no downsides.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Configure the Directory Services for SME and organization without Directory Services. And available at all time.

Active Directory No Longer Fits the Needs of a Modern IT Department
What do you like best about the product?
Several years ago the typical worker would enter a building, go to a workstation, login and access everything they needed via servers physically located in their office building. But as digital strategy and cloud adoption increased, the way in which users accessed IT resources has changed. The perimeter around work, once bound to a physical location, has transformed. Now, a user’s device — irrespective of location — is the central point from which a user gets secure access to the right resources. At the same time, authentication and authorization needs have evolved.
It’s no surprise that business have increasingly turn to Zero Trust, a security model that meets the continually evolving needs of modern workplaces. Zero Trust is a set of cybersecurity protocols that move defenses from static, network-based perimeters to focus on users, assets and IT resources. Zero Trust security embodies the “trust nothing, verify everything” principle. JumpCloud helps you implement controls to ensure users work only on trusted devices and networks, require multi-factor authentication (MFA) where necessary, and more.
JumpCloud provides simple, secure access to corporate technology resources from any device or any location. The JumpCloud Directory Platform gives IT and security operations a single, cloud-based solution to control and manage employee identities, their devices and apply Zero Trust principles. JumpCloud has a global user base of more than 100,000 organizations.
JumpCloud offers:
* Replacement of Microsoft Active Directory connecting your users to IT resources with a single identity eliminating on-premise hardware.
* Microsoft Active Directory Integration feature to extend on-premise AD identities to non-domain resources like Mac, Linux, web apps, and more.
* Secured Access to Windows, Mac and Linux computers.
* Simplied onboarding and offboarding of employees.
* Compatability with LDAP, RADIUS, SAML, OAuth and Restful APIs.
* Single Sign-On - one identity for users to access their laptop, wifi and apps.
* Integrations with G Suite, Microsoft365, AWS, Salesforce and more.
* Advanced security from TLS encryption to password complexity settings and Multi Factor Authentication (MFA).

User friendly and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to manage linux OS and all distros
What do you dislike about the product?
The limited security policies available for linux
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Linux management and windows os management. We will like to explore mac os management in the near future
True unification
What do you like best about the product?
What I love about JumpCloud is you can manage identities and assets with one platform. And, since it's platform agnostic, you can manage more with less. We are an MSP and we manage many, many technical environments. Anything that can help us unify the process and keep our clients safe is a winner in our book.
What do you dislike about the product?
JumpCloud's channel is maturing and there are additional features getting added every few weeks. I would like to see them have license rates and terms in their MTP for billing purposes. Not a deal breaker, but it would help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using JumpCloud to help our clients environments stay secure. We can push policies to machines and manage credentials of individual users or groups with ease.
Perfect solutions from small, mid size to enterpsise companies.
What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity of the rollout and manageability aof how to rollout the client.
What do you dislike about the product?
At the moment we are don´t run in a dead end, we can´t tell any negative things. The support is always there and try to deliver the best solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are managing a "serverless"* infrastructure. It doesn´t matter if the clients/customer is in the office or on the toad or in homeoffice. We are everytime able to push new settings, credentials, ...
*Serverless in meanig of no server on premise.
*Serverless in meanig of no server on premise.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just start a try, you can use 5 clients without costs. If you are looking to manage a multi os network or just to manage clients around the world without e.g. Active Directory give it a try.
Great and convinient service
What do you like best about the product?
SSO and LDAP that works straight out of the box
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing there to dislike, since it works
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Single Sign On with different methods worked like a charm without the need to deal with everything in the background
Great application for SSO
What do you like best about the product?
The SSO capabilities provided by jumpcloud.
What do you dislike about the product?
The documentation could be more detailed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used jumpcloud to better understand how our SSO integration interacted with all idps.
