*Users can be imported from Azure AD/365, super useful.
*Able to manage users and devices simply and easily.
*Minimal time and effort requirement to set up - low learning curve.
*consolidated device management across Mac, Windows and Linux

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mandating security policy across our multi-OS estate and ensuring good governance and management of hardware/devices
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Watch the instructional videos on YouTube and be prepared to support users with device setup during rollout.

SSO & MDM for mixed environment. Go Jumpcloud!

  • February 19, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We needed a platform for SSO , MDM and IAM. Jumpcloud fits the bill perfectly. We are using it in an organization that has a mixed-use of Apple and Windows. We can create a user in jumpcloud and have it populated everywhere. users can log in to their device using google credentials. Love that we can push the apps and other minor configuration from a single platform. No log in to each individual machine to set it up. We are slowly getting rid of On premise AD for the same task and briding the gap with JumpCloud.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing can be a bit better overall. Not a big deal to be honest. Saves us a lot of time and energy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SSO, MDM and IAM.

JumpCloud, a solution for annoying problems.

  • February 19, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The fact that JumpCloud is a one stop shop for directory services, MFA, and basic device management.

This combination is very helpful, you're not left to piece together a solution for user creation, user passwords, and another solution for MFA. And you can combine this with insight into the state of your systems.

This is a very powerful combination.
What do you dislike about the product?
The management of Windows devices requires a fair bit of in depth knowledge of Windows Administration. This isn't really a bad thing, but it is definitely a point where, being a Linux shop, we lack internal knowledge.

There had been some hope that we would be able to do without acquiring that knowledge, however JumpCloud doesn't help as much there as we might desire.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using JumpCloud allowed us to get off the ground as a startup both faster than we could have otherwise, and with a great deal more general security.

And it has scaled very well as the number of users and systems that we need to manage has grown.

All without needing us to have in depth knowledge of something like FreeIPA. This is a huge benefit for us, as a startup.

One stop shop

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of deployment for auth solutions SaaS model. No operations burden very easy to setup and integrate free ware for the sandbox testing. SaaS model for Cloud Directory so no on prem DC or compute required.
It connects to my azure active directory on on prem version so its offers flexibility. Most importantly to easy to deploy cloud desktops in your own region so that users has better access and best experience with out any jitter and latency issues.
I am using for managing my lab env, however it has options for smallest of the smalles teams to large enterprises so scale is not an issue and since everything is in the cloud it needs ZERO on prem infrastructure and also it saves opex cost as there is no need of special skilled administrators. A part from the webportal for the management there is a Client available so that day to day operations can be performed easily and the client is available for any Desktop OS.
For Security measures it also offers 2 Factor authentication for users.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are very few blogs or articles available in case if help needed.
it is not possible to manage GSuite groups with Jumpcloud
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Faster time to market because it’s quite easy to integrate, the migration from on MS AD was not difficult. We also have the sandbox environment setup for the 10 users/devices for quick testing.

What do you like best about the product?
The fact that the setup is intuitive and simple
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of expert mode
it would be cool within the created apps to be allowed to edit them

Easy access to users and simplify authentication
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it and you will love it!

Amazingly versatile and intuitive suite of services!

  • January 21, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud offers a very comprehensive suite of services, incredibly complete documentation, all with an intuitive and easy to learn interface. All of that, combined with a free-to-try license model and you should be asking yourself why NOT JumpCloud?
What do you dislike about the product?
I have yet to encounter a feature that I could go so far as to say that I dislike. Everything I've tried has been comparable or better to features I've found in high-priced alternatives.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed a quick and flexible solution that supported SSO with extended attributes to complete a challenging development project. There were a few options available but none of them had the same depth, character and functionality that JumpCloud offered, especially not free to try!

Perfect solution for Cloud Based Active Directory and monitoring end user systems

  • January 06, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It was very easy to setup and we were up and running in very quick time. We could configure org wide policies for password management or end user configurations on laptops to implement Logon banners, control behavior of USB storage devices on selective devices. Can also use to monitor what is installed on end user systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very minor things - When importing new users from GSuite, we need to remember to send them an activation email explicitly. Also sometimes on creating new users we forget to add them to the right groups and devices to the right groups. Maybe there can be some prompts reminders for this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Implementing a cloud based Active Directory service on corporate laptops. Due to COVID everyone has been working from home. So we were looking for an effective cloud based Active Directory service and JumpCloud could easily solve all that with everyone being remote.

JumpCloud is a complete SSO solution and AD Replacement

  • November 19, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud can be managed day-to-day from anywhere and by most people in the IT department. The interface is simple and the options for third party integrations are robust.
What do you dislike about the product?
The radius server setup needs to allow for the same IP with different ports. People using managed service like Meraki may only have one IP that handles routing based on ports and protocols.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centralized password management for SSO is the main issue we have solved.

Super easy, secure, and helpful Directory Service

  • November 19, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud is 3 things:
1) Super easy to deploy.
2) Really great for managing infrastructure spread across many different cloud accounts/VPCs.
3) Competitive pricing.
4) Secure
What do you dislike about the product?
Perhaps the only downside to JumpCloud is that it's "yet another directory" you have to manage, as opposed to using your main directory service (whether that be GSuite, Outlook365, etc.) but those are not "fit for purpose" when it comes to securing infrastructure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using JumpCloud to have a common directory for all of our various Cloud accounts (we have 6+ cloud accounts with infrastructure on all of them that we want to secure access to).
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would strongly consider JumpCloud if you want an easy to use solution for securing access to a disparate set of cloud infrastructure or even an easier-to-use solution that you may get out of the box with your cloud infrastructure providers.
