Strong, Stable Platform

What do you like best about the product?
How simple the UI is. Everything is laid out nicely and easy to find.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I could recommend is making the admin console a little more mobile-device friendly so when you’re on the go and need to do an unlock for a user, it is efficient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were able to get rid of our onsite Active Directory and saved us the headache during hurricane season.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Test it on a sample computer and you make sure to follow instructions

What do you like best about the product?
I like that I was able to eliminate our AD server. Technical support is outstanding.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe the color scheme on the JumpCloud website. Nothing significant.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our primary use-case was to implement Multi-factor Authentication. The benefits are that we have been able to eliminate our Microsoft AD Server and now we have a single point for user decommissioning.

An additional benefit is the ability to centrally log and audit user activity.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't think about it - just go try now the trial version...now...

What do you like best about the product?
The interface and the ease of deployment
What do you dislike about the product?
Needs better reporting and logging functionality. Could do with Oauth supprt.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centralised user management of all our Linux, Mac and Windows boxes. SSO for our web based apps that support it. Key issues were O365, RingCentral, AWS, HubSpot, Lucidcharts auth. All solved easily.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for it. You'll be surprised at how quickly and easily you can deploy it and get central management for your whole team.

JumpCloud Review

  • May 28, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
That I can use SSO, MDM, LDAP, RADIUS, and patching all from one place.

Also the interface is very intuitive and easy to use.

Lastly, System and Directory Insights is a data gold mine that have very useful analytics.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only complaints thus far are that there is no Gov Cloud instance for organization who need FedRAMP certifications.

Also, it would be nice to have a way for JumpCloud to manage folder sharing permissions at the domain level.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dealing with the fallout form COVID has been much easier with JumpCloud as I can provision user accounts and computers remotely.

This also enables me to do remote software installs and patches via commands.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is much easier to use than traditional AD setup and has more features in one place.

Also cost is very very competitive.

Jumpcloud is the only way you can scale an IT organization from small startup to a big company.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud is one system that does it all: single sign on, patch management, password policy and management, centralized account management and Wifi authentication.
The deployment is easy on any platforms, I currently run it on Linux, Mac OS and Windows without a glitch. I have started with 20 users and 30 machines, scaling it to 79 users and over 100 machines with only one part-time IT person.
What do you dislike about the product?
It seems a bit expensive but if you have to pay for your SSO service, your patch management, your centralized account management it will be more expensive.
The IT time you are saving is where the saving.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
More I use JumpCloud, more features they are adding. Now we can have policy about disk encryption all centralized in one place. Easy to maintain, to check. When I signed up for JumpCloud that was not available, now it is.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Honestly, try it if you are looking for SSO system that works on Linux, Mac and Windows

Once you have received the hang of SSO applications, it is simple.

What do you like best about the product?
We wanted JumpCloud to control access to properties and infrastructure, to implement simple computer policies and to enhance the complexity of the password and 2FA and to provide our most-used applications with a single connection.
What do you dislike about the product?
A lot of data are accessable only via the API, meaning that they are not open to calls made by APIs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This was a fantastic beginning, but their support personnel helped JumpCloud integrate into our previous GSuite. Your team has been working hard to get my custom SSO connector.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
TEST. Every user should strongly recommend creating and attaching SSH keys to his or her JumpCloud account.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that you don’t have to setup your own infrastructure to get started with LDAP. It’s affordable, I am using the free tier at the moment and it was a delight and relief to get started with.
What do you dislike about the product?
At the moment, nothing! I am planning to integrate it into my projects and then I’ll be able to tell.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main reason to landed me JumpCloud was centralized access management. This means I am now able to give my team access to systems without having to creat new users.
