JumpCloud to a Friend or Colleague

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud offers a centralized platform for identity and device management, which makes it incredibly easy to manage users, enforce security policies, and control access across systems—whether they’re Windows, macOS, or Linux. The cloud-based directory service is particularly powerful, eliminating the need for on-premise Active Directory.

I also appreciate the intuitive admin console, seamless SSO (Single Sign-On) integrations, and the ability to remotely manage devices with policies and commands. It’s a huge time-saver for IT teams and greatly improves overall security posture.
What do you dislike about the product?
While JumpCloud is a powerful platform, there are a few areas where it could improve:

UI/UX can feel a bit complex at first, especially for new admins. Some features are buried in submenus, which can slow down navigation.

Limited reporting and analytics—more detailed insights into user activity, login trends, and device compliance would be helpful.

Mobile device management (MDM) features are somewhat basic compared to dedicated MDM solutions.

Occasionally, support response times can vary, especially for lower-tier support plans.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud is solving the problem of decentralized identity and device management in a hybrid or remote work environment. Traditionally, managing user access, enforcing security policies, and maintaining visibility across multiple platforms (Windows, macOS, Linux) required several different tools.

With JumpCloud, we can:

Manage users, devices, and access from a single cloud-based platform

Enforce security policies (like MFA, password policies, and full-disk encryption) easily across all systems

Simplify onboarding and offboarding, which saves time and reduces security risk

Integrate with SSO and directory services without needing on-prem infrastructure like Active Directory

Ease of use

  • June 03, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud acts as a cloud directory, allowing IT teams to manage user identities across multiple systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), applications (like Google Workspace, Microsoft 365), and networks from a single console.
What do you dislike about the product?
The SSO (Single Sign-On) app catalog is smaller compared to providers like Okta or Azure AD. If your organization relies on a broad range of SaaS apps, some manual configuration may be required.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No problem.

Great All-in-One Tool for Identity and Device Management

  • June 03, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I really like about JumpCloud is how it brings everything into one place — user management, device control, and access policies. It's been a big help for our hybrid setup, especially with users spread across different locations. The fact that I can manage Windows, Mac, and Linux devices from a single console is a huge time-saver. It also makes onboarding new users much easier and more consistent.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few things that could be better. The reporting tools feel a bit basic — it’d be great to have more flexible or detailed reporting options. Also, some of the more advanced features take a bit of time to learn, especially if you're not used to scripting or managing policies for macOS devices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud has made it much easier for us to support remote users. We no longer have to rely on clunky VPN setups or remote access tools just to do basic user or device management. With JumpCloud, we can manage user accounts, reset passwords, push policies, and even handle device updates — all remotely. It’s saved us a lot of back-and-forth and reduced downtime for our team. Being able to support users no matter where they are has made a big difference in how responsive and efficient our IT support can be.

Streamlined, Scalable, and Reliable: Why JumpCloud Became Our Go-To Solution

  • June 02, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I really like about JumpCloud is how it brings everything together in one place. Instead of using a bunch of different tools to manage users, devices, and policies, we can handle it all from a single dashboard. That’s made life a lot easier for our team—especially when supporting multiple clients with different setups.

It works across Windows, Mac, and Linux, which is a big plus, and the integration with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 makes user onboarding and offboarding smooth and fast. Being able to push scripts and security settings remotely has saved us tons of time, especially with so many remote workers now. It just helps us stay organized and ahead of issues before they become problems.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I don’t like about JumpCloud is that implementation can be a bit tricky, especially the first time around. It’s not always as plug-and-play as you’d hope—getting everything set up just right takes time, and the learning curve can be steep if you're new to the platform.

Also, we’ve run into a few cases where user profiles on devices got corrupted after pushing changes, especially on Macs. It doesn’t happen often, but when it does, it’s a real headache to fix and can disrupt the client experience. For a tool that’s meant to make management easier, those moments can be frustrating. I’d like to see more stability around profile handling and a smoother onboarding process overall.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud is helping us solve a few key problems that used to take up a lot of our time and energy as an MSP.

First, it's drastically simplified identity management across different systems. Instead of dealing with separate tools for Mac, Windows, and Linux, we can manage users and devices all from one platform. That alone has saved us hours each week.

Second, it's made onboarding and offboarding much more efficient. We can quickly create user accounts, assign access to apps, and apply security policies with just a few clicks. No more bouncing between multiple systems or manually setting things up for each new hire.

It’s also helping us stay ahead of security needs. We can enforce MFA, push out policies, and keep track of device compliance remotely—super important with so many clients now working remotely or in hybrid setups.

Overall, it’s helping us work smarter, reduce human error, and offer a more consistent and professional experience for our clients. It’s made our service delivery faster, more reliable, and more secure.

The Lifesaver MDM

What do you like best about the product?
As an IT admin using JumpCloud, I’ve found it incredibly efficient for managing users and devices across Windows, macOS, and Linux from one place. The built-in MFA, conditional access, and Zero Trust features greatly strengthen our security. Integrations with tools like Google Workspace and M365 make user access seamless, and onboarding/offboarding is quick and automated saving us a lot of manual work. It’s really streamlined our IT operations. Btw it was very easy to implement this in to our organisation and we use this application on a daily bases.
What do you dislike about the product?
While JumpCloud is powerful, it can have a steep learning curve for new admins. Some advanced features lack customization, and real-time device status updates can occasionally lag. The UI, though clean, could be more intuitive in certain areas. Also, support response times can vary depending on the issue's urgency.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud has solved several key challenges for us, especially around centralized identity and device management. Previously, we relied on multiple tools to manage user access, enforce security, and support remote devices. With JumpCloud, everything is unified user provisioning, MFA, device policies, and access controls are all handled from a single platform. It has replaced our dependency on traditional on prem Active Directory and made remote work much easier to support. The ability to manage Windows, macOS, and Linux devices in one place is a huge benefit. It’s also improved our security posture with Zero Trust principles and reduced manual overhead significantly.
