Effortless Cross-Platform Management
What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud makes it easy for a small team like ours to manage Windows, macOS, and Linux from one place. The agent is lightweight and reliable, and even when a device can’t use full MDM, we still get good inventory and can enforce basics like encryption, firewall, and screen lock. Patching is straightforward too, we push updates to a small “vanguard” group first, then roll out broadly. Overall, it does a lot and keeps our fleet in a healthy, compliant state without a ton of overhead. Big shoutout to their support, fast, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. And the AI chat in the console, which speeds up troubleshooting and “how do I…?” tasks more than I expected.
What do you dislike about the product?
JumpCloud’s conditional policies only applies to JumpCloud-managed accounts, which limits what we can do in mixed environments or where identities are primarily in Google Workspace.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before JumpCloud, we had three separate ways to manage Windows, macOS, and Linux, lots of manual patching, inconsistent security baselines, and an inventory that was never quite right, making onboarding/offboarding slow and audits painful. We also spent too much time hand-holding devices for basic fixes and chasing evidence for compliance.
JumpCloud gives us one place to enroll devices fast, enforce the same core controls everywhere (encryption, firewall, screen lock), and keep OS/browsers updated on a simple vanguard → general rollout. The agent (plus MDM where supported) provides accurate hardware/software inventory, so audits are straightforward. Result: stronger security, faster onboarding/offboarding, fewer tickets, and clean compliance evidence.

Streamlined Access Management, Needs Multi-Command Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I use JumpCloud for Active Directory, Access Management, Endpoint management, and as a Password manager. It's a source of truth for our AD and helps centralize access de/provisioning. We manage user endpoints, including tasks like patching management and setting policies to access JumpCloud only from specific countries and company devices. The Password manager feature helps us manage user credentials efficiently. I appreciate its capability to eliminate the need for separate remote assist tools, as we now use JumpCloud exclusively for this purpose. All the mentioned features of JumpCloud are crucial to us. Managing endpoint and access management through JumpCloud helps us a lot by reducing manual work. Integrating JumpCloud with HR tools makes user access de/provisioning seamless. Additionally, the initial setup was easy, thanks to the documentation provided and support chat.
What do you dislike about the product?
On the command part, I think it needs improvement to run multiple commands on multiple devices. We're expecting to be able to run more than one command on multiple devices, like installing a password manager or other apps through a command, and have it run on multiple devices as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud is our AD source of truth, centralizes access provisioning, manages endpoints with policies, aids password management, and eliminates the need for separate remote assist tools. Integration with HR tools makes user access seamlessly manageable and reduces manual work.

I use JumpCloud for MDM/device management and as an authentication portal. I like that it helps keep employee devices secure and consolidates access to some third-party services for internal use. It stays out of the way of users, letting them do work while providing helpful insights and keeping the company secure. The initial setup was very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing in particular.

Identity and Device Management Made Easy, but Reports Can Improve
What do you like best about the product?
I believe that JumpCloud works well in solving my problems related to identity management and device control. Additionally, I appreciate the ability to create and execute commands remotely, as well as the identity management and policy enforcement aspects. The initial setup is extremely easy, requiring a basic level of technical expertise.
What do you dislike about the product?
I encounter many limitations when it comes to the issue of reports. I cannot clearly visualize reports related to the application. Reports on machines with disk encryption and machines assigned to many users are difficult to understand, and I cannot extract clear information, such as which user is actually using the machine.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use JumpCloud for identity and device management, especially without a domain controller. JumpCloud helps in executing commands remotely and applying policies, which solves my problems.

One password helps me manage everything and helps me sleep slightly better I guess
What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud has worked well as it creates a single portal with all the applications; I do not have to remember forty different usernames/passwords. JumpCloud works across both the MacBook laptops and the tower PCs – both of which normally hate each other – that was a nice surprise. The majority of the time the JumpCloud Agent simply runs in the background and I never get complaints from the sales staff. It’s good enough that it hasn’t ruined my day yet.
What do you dislike about the product?
JumpCloud pricing tiers confuse me as much as anything else I’ve ever had to deal with as why do I need a doctorate in order to figure out what I’m being billed? Sometimes the push notifications for the 2-factor authentication (2FA) just hang there in space and I’m sitting here looking at my phone like a complete moron. It tends to happen when the wifi drops. Also the admin console kicks you out WAY TOO FAST. I take a 2 second break to yell at a printer and BINGO – I’m kicked out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main thing it does is prevent the end users from setting “Password123” as their login for EVERYTHING. Also I thought linking it to the HR software was going to be a nightmare but however it actually pulled the names in without any errors. It also allows me to keep the lights on and the access controls in place so I can focus on actual problems/issues.

Comprehensive IT Management with Stellar Support
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how broad and versatile JumpCloud is, as it offers a comprehensive suite of features including MDM, password management, patch management, software management, and SaaS management. The platform functions as a one-stop shop for my IT infrastructure needs, making it possible to consolidate various functionalities without having to purchase multiple different products. This integration supports a seamless IT backbone and automates tasks like on and offboarding, greatly enhancing efficiency when departmental changes require different access levels. I love that JumpCloud includes asset management, which I am planning to implement soon. The ease of setup for many features that do not require coding or technical knowledge is particularly beneficial, and I value the dependable support for more technical tasks such as application integration or script deployment. The onboarding and setup process was also streamlined thanks to support from JumpCloud's success manager, who helped plan and facilitate the implementation process. Lastly, JumpCloud eliminated the need for additional licenses by including functionalities like a password manager, offering cost savings and simplicity.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that some features in JumpCloud are not fully fleshed out and could use improvement. Specifically, the software catalog could be enhanced. Currently, it is limited in terms of the number of apps it includes, and there isn't an easy way for me, as an administrator, to add apps that my organization uses and would like to see in the catalog.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use JumpCloud to streamline IT infrastructure, automating onboarding and department transitions, eliminating the need for multiple products, and reducing costs while maintaining flexibility with broad capabilities.
