Slick yet somewhat complicated
What do you like best about the product?
Although I do admit Lucid is much easier and more intuitive than other chart creating platforms, to me it still feels like the initial complexity and available options make using Lucid intimidating as a beginner.
What do you dislike about the product?
As I said before, all the options and just general clutter on screen when making visuals makes it hard for me to give it a 10. Still better than others such as draw.io in terms of collaboration and connectivity, but still has a lot of work to get to a 10.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly finding a free online charting platform that looks nice and has "less"

It is genuinely a well tuned program allowing for sharing of notes and ideas

The mobile version is incredibly difficult to use

Not sure about problems but it helped my class share ideas and collaborate

auto spacing doesn't work as well as it could. I understand lucid is a browser based product but that isn't an excuse
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid is helping us solve problems in a collaborative manner from the very beginning. This reduces cruft and overall effort required to develop new features and platforms and improves team coordination and, ultimately, morale.
Overall, a decent diagram app but is lacking for independent contributors compared to competition.

One of the best advantages of Lucid is how powerful the shared live editing capabilities is.

Lack of desktop app support, requires internet access, web application performance issues.

Lucidchart is helping me and my team effectively communicate software diagrams and design.

What do you like best about the product?
I use LucidChart to create technical architecture diagrams for technical design docs. The tool makes it very easy to create architecture flows by creating arrows between multiple components. There are many custom shapes (e.g. shapes for different GCP components) that make it very clear which components are interacting with others.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing that could be improved with LucidChart is that the UI for creating arrows between components is sometimes difficult to use. Especially when moving pieces of the diagram around, sometimes the arrows end up messed up and it takes a lot of manual effort to correct.

I create diagrams for technical design docs using LucidChart.

Very easy to make and edit decision trees

Limited features on the free version and the paid version is a monthly subscription

This is simple to use and makes collaboration easy. The system is very lightweight and easy to pick up.
What do you dislike about the product?
Small issue, but viewing a chart does require the consumer to install Lucid.

We use Lucid to capture the requirements for our decisioning policy.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the visual collaboration tools as it gives me & my remote team the ability to be as productive as possible. The Lucid team provides lots of trainings to try to make it easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The org chart tool is not as intuitive as I would like, it may just be training but I wish it was easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving the fact that a lot of us are remote and it is not easy to stay engaged in a group setting. It allows for collaboration in real-time but also at the most convenient time for team members.

Honestly is very easy to use and add collaborators to the workspace. This helps to improve and iterate faster on our work.

A better beginner tutorial to get started with suggested templates
