Broad usage and familiar look but occasionally complicated

  • April 29, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is very familiar, the layout I know from another app. I like the shared timer, vote features, the possibility of integration - movement towards JIRA and GIT. It is easy to set up, does not freeze even with large amount of data. It has everything what you would want at a first glance, but need to get used to it.
What do you dislike about the product?
After using MIRO the usage is a bit slow, I am overwhelmed by the options, especially the multiple layered menu system. I would love a bit more option to customize color and be less basic.
I miss the community templates or open tempate creation throughout organizations. The templates are kind of the same, funktion-wise there are a few options, it is rather a variation of (similar) designs. It would be great to have some more complex templates, some less pastell ones. It has one favor.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visualization of complex issues.

Nice tool for process-oriented people who want to express their ideas in a visual way

  • April 29, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
When you're trying to express ideas related to processes and mind maps, Lucid is a great tool. It's easier to build visual ways to show processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Free trials are extremely limited compared to other collaboration tools. Additionally, when it comes to more creative ways to visualize ideas, other tools may be easier to use (Whimsical, Figma).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
If every team member has a license, it's easier to collaborate and share ideas real time.

What do you dislike about the product?

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Dependable tool for digital white boarding and diagramming

  • April 22, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Simple and easy to use, has lots of different shapes and connectors. There are a few templates available.
What do you dislike about the product?
It feels uninspiring to use compared to Canva or Figma. While one could argue features are similar, the other tools feel like they were built by and for creatives whereas Lucid is bland.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Digital diagramming of data lineage

Brainstorming Tool

  • April 22, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lucid is helpful when doing a more complex group brainstorm. It has been used by our team to guide website mapping, discovery process, map workflows, and more. It's easy to use with little to no background.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that the settings automatically saved the way that you prefer. It can be hard to get it to visually reflect what you want, and it's tedious to have to change all the tiny elements individually because you didn't realize the arrow function was on a curve instead of straight.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us take brainstorming off the whiteboard.

What do you like best about the product?
There are tons of ways to use data and create visuals and it's all pretty user friendly
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a limit to how customizable it is
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's making it easy to import Excel data in and create clean visuals using the data. This has saved so much time and looks great.

Good brainstorming tool

  • April 02, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The mind map functionality it great, it is much more flexbile that a process flow diagram - although you can make those as well. I like that I can have my Kanban board, mind map, and process flow all in the same place. There are various templates that are extremely helpful to get started / spur new ideas.
What do you dislike about the product?
Navigating back to the home screen isn't as intuitive as you would think. There is not a 'Home' button/icon in the top corner like most tools, you have to get to it using a drop down.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it helps our team get thoughts down on paper ... instead of just throwing ideas out in a meeting into thin air. we can capture them on something like a mind map which is easy to customize and clean up afterwards. Then you can reference that mind map to build a more detailed process flow if needed, all in the same tool. It simplifies things for us.

Great for Visio import

  • April 01, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I can import my completed Visio diagrams
What do you dislike about the product?
When importing in progress Visio diagrams, it is very difficult to replicate the shapes used in the rest of the Visio diagram
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I lost access to Visio at my organization and Lucid enabled me to continue the work I had been doing in Visio through the import feature.

Powerful diagramming and visualization software with a lot of potential

  • March 26, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use and provides almost all the features I need to create the visual that I have in mind be it architectural or general diagrams. Its integration with cloud providers with auto-refresh feature that keeps the generated diagram up-to-date is extremely valuable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of APIs for automation
Inability to retain the same configuration across many AWS accounts for auto-generated diagrams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Generating Architectural diagrams
Documenting solution design documents

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use and options of chart tools as well as the collaboration supoprt
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not utilized enough to have a significant dislike of any features
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gives tools to visualize diagrams that would normally be made with clunky tools i.e powerpoint or MS Paint
