What do you like best about the product?
Multiple tabs, easy to use/intuitive. Great libraries once you learn how to use them
What do you dislike about the product?
The random pop-up to move your mouse. Small complaint but annoying
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Document business process on a weekly basis. This tool helps to make that easy to do
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I haven't used this product for wireframing, only process flows/swim lanes/etc. Give it a shot

Essential for my job as a Technical Writer

  • March 24, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It makes it so easy to make nice professional looking flowcharts.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has a little bit of a learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a Technical Writer for a BioTech company and one of my main duties is to write SOPs that include a flowchart. After struggling to make nice flowcharts in word (and taking up a lot of time) I went in search of something better and I found Lucid Charts that allows me to make flowcharts that are better looking and easier in a fraction of the time it would take me in word.

Amazing academic writing tool!

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the flexibility this program has to offer.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could copy a figure and past it into a word document without having to first download it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I create figures, diagrams, and statistical model displays using this software. It is much quicker and more flexible than diagraming in PowerPoint. Have, and continue to recommend this to all my academic peers!

Lucidchart is a viable and preferable alternative to Visio for creating technical diagrams.

  • March 24, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lucidchart is a platform-neutral way to create appealing diagrams in both industry-standard and also ad-hoc styles. The user experience is remarkably responsive, published images are suitable for projected presentations and printed documents, the product is well-integrated with Google tools (for sign-on and saving) and the fidelity of diagrams is nicely preserved when exported for colleagues that prefer desktop tools, such as MS Visio, MS Word and Adobe Photoshop.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am a big fan of Lucidchart but would share two modest concerns: I have benefited from having changes saved automatically, as documents are updated but, unfortunately, the feature has prevented me from reverting to or revisiting previous versions; it can be helpful to number the shapes in a flowchart but, unfortunately, that is a manual and time consuming process in the most current version of Lucidchart.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I rely on Lucidchart flowcharts and sequence diagrams to illustrate that I have listened carefully and confirm that I have learned from my clients during requirements gathering sessions. In addition, I use LucidChart to draw site maps and data models which help to reinforce recommendations for improving business processes and architecting applications and databases.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Excellent alternative to MS Visio, particularly when working on teams that are distributed geographically and have not standardized on a single productivity suite or operating platform.

Lucid Chart

  • March 24, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to quickly create process maps and reconfigure on the fly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Saving of files and moving to folders can get cumbersome at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our team works better seeing a nice visual flow chart, rather than a bulleted list. Lucid Chart allows me to quickly create these for presentations as well as team training.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you can afford going up from the trail, it is worth the price.

What do you dislike about the product?
I have never been disappointed when I use this application.

Wireframes are a necessary for any developer to help them understand what the business is looking for. Lucidchart is my go to tool for wireframes.

Wonderful tool

  • March 24, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I do process improvement for housing crisis response systems across the state of Texas; it is called Coordinated Entry in United States Department of Housing and Urban Development-speak. I love how easy it is to map out the before and after of various systems across the system. It truly is a wonderful tool - easy to learn and use. I have recommended it to my colleagues across the country that do the same job.
What do you dislike about the product?
I use the free version since I work for a non-profit. While I know that y'all want us to upgrade, it is a little frustrating how limited it is.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work with providers across the state of Texas to make their housing crisis response systems more client friendly and to make homelessness brief, rare, and non-recurring. Because Lucidchart helps show the before and after of systems, it helps people in the various communities I work in see what needs to be done to truly create systems change. Thank you for making my job easier, Lucidchart!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just try it. If you do a lot of system mapping, you'll find that this is the best and easiest tool to use.

    Non-Profit Organization Management

Easy to Use, Easy to Share, Easy to Collaborate

  • March 24, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lucid Charts makes it easy to collaborate on diagrams. Our organization uses the integrations with Slack, Google Drive, and JIRA.
What do you dislike about the product?
After moving from free accounts to a paid account, it was too difficult to move existing data into the main account. I realize that import / export is a limitation of the free accounts but I would have liked to have had a one time import option when moving to a paid account.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Software Development, Business Requirements, Flow Charts, Documentation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Contact Lucid Charts excellent customer support to work with you on an evaluation product / period. Much better than starting with multiple free account and converting later.

What do you dislike about the product?
harder to make swim lanes for process maps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My current projects include increasing landfill diversion rate from 43% to 69% and increasing the effectiveness of online College courses.

Visio on the go +

  • March 24, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
When building network diagrams, I like how easy it is to create objects in the fly just y dropping them into the design.

In many ways, the look and fell is like visio, but minus the learning curve.
What do you dislike about the product?
Loading times for larger diagrams could be better, as well as exporting/importing visio diagrams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We always need network diagrams. This makes sharing and collaboration a breeze.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Play with it.
