Great collaboration tool

What do you like best about the product?
There are so many different templates, it's live editing which works great for teams (we can work from different places and still work real-time together). We use it at least a couple times a week, if not every day. Pretty easy to figure out if no one teaches you how to use it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's hard to remember which page (chart vs spark) has which features, so I'll spend time looking for the wrong thing on the wrong page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps us organize our thoughts and research into one document, which then leads us further along our process of either creating our plan, building assets we need, etc. It's the first step in the process, so using Lucid to accomplish that first step is helpful.

    Consulting

Use Lucid for setting up high level architecture diagrams to support a client.

What do you like best about the product?
Pretty easy to set up process flows and have my team make edits simultaneously to the same breakout board while in brain-storming sessions.
What do you dislike about the product?
At first the breakout boards section is confusing to me on how to navigate to different ones from the home screen. Also, we accidentally set up two workspaces, and I wanted to copy a breakout board from one workspace into the other, but there was not a simple way to do that. Instead I had to copy everything, then paste into a new board in the desired workspace. That worked out just fine, but would've been cool to import a given breakout board from one workspace to another.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Illustrate high-level architecture for a client's DevOps team. The ability to create easy-to-read diagrams with appropriate colors and connecting dependencies, and to be able to export into a pdf and share with the client led us to utilize Lucid.

    Marketing and Advertising

Lucid is an engaging tool that promotes creativity and organization.

What do you like best about the product?
It allows me to get all my thoughts in one spot.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be difficult to find something specific I wrote down when there is so much.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving the need for our team to be able to collaborate in one space and have all of our thoughts in one known space. Lucid does just that.

Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is perfect for team collaboration.

What do you like best about the product?
I really like how it is possible to collaborate in real time for working through different projects. We've done fishbone diagrams and deadline timelines and it has been extremely easy to use as well as there being no lag between putting in elements or writing in certain things.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that sometimes certain functions are not intuitive, such as the random double clicking being a sticky note, or lines connecting to each other randomly and being unable to really manipulate them to be where you want them to be (or it automatically drags textboxes with it, or makes all other lines diagonal instead of horizontal when trying to extend one line).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is helping solve our problems in having good diagrams of things (when we are root causing, figuring out our timelines for meeting deadlines, organization charts, etc). It is difficult usually to communicate these things either verbally or with other softwares, but Lucid is really good at providing the templates and diagrams for ease of communication visually and succinctly.

A great alternative to Visio but it isn't a total replacement for it.

What do you like best about the product?
Having a role in Continuous Improvement I found that the templates to support our VSM and CI diagramming efforts very valuable and far better than those in MS Visio. I also found that we can import our existing Visio diagrams and make them better with Lucid. The collaboration is also easier and nicer than that of Visio and it helps me as I train others on the value of CI mapping efforts.
What do you dislike about the product?
We found that Lucid does not adequately support our previous use of Visio in the generation of floor plans, scaled engineering documents, technical documents with complex embedded calculations and drawings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
IT has decided to abandon Visio and this was their solution to replace it. We had no choice but are learning to use Lucid better as we gain experience with it.

    Accounting

I find the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite to be a user-friendly and versatile platform.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is its real-time collaboration and intuitive interface, which make it easy for cross-functional teams to map processes and identify control gaps.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is the occasional complexity in customizing templates or diagrams
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite helps solve the problem of unclear processes and disconnected teams which allows me to quickly map workflows, analyze risks, and collaborate in real time. It saves time, improves audit clarity.

Helps in generating user journeys and flow diagrams

  • May 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
great templates for user journeys and flow diagrams
What do you dislike about the product?
Lucid should have a free-tier board as well not just for viewing but also for limited drawing and editing
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problems it solves:
- Hassle in creating customer journeys - easily create customer journeys
- Building flows from scratch - templates guide even new users to make meaningful diagrams

Easy charts with Lucid charts

What do you like best about the product?
Real-Time Collaboration: Multiple people can work on the same document simultaneously with live updates, comments, and chat. This really helps teams stay aligned, especially when working remotely or across time zones.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing: It can get pricey, especially for larger teams or organizations that need access to premium features. The free or lower-tier plans can feel limiting in terms of collaboration or advanced functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lack of clarity in processes: Mapping workflows or strategies visually uncovers bottlenecks and aligns everyone on the same page.

Lucid experience

What do you like best about the product?
ease of use similar to every other diagramming tools with low latency and good collaborative features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Load time can be a bit frustrating, also tier status can be a pain as a reviewer or just want to provide comments. Would prefer better export features but have multiple workaround to it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Overall tech architectural diagrams
or brainstorm/collaborative white boarding session with peers to put ideas at one place vs a word doc.

Extremely useful tool to collaborate with a team on a big project

  • May 21, 2025

What do you like best about the product?
I liked the ability to directly work on a project with another person and see their changes directly as they were making them. The canvas itself was a great tool to have to be able to rearrange and organize our work as needed to help with the flow of the project.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because of the large amount of different tools and visuals on the screen it was sometimes easy to get lost in the work we had already done or to accidently move a large amount of things by accident.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid gave us an all in one platform to be able to arrange our work in a way that was visually appealing without needing to flip between several different documents or services. This greatly allowed us to keep all of our work in the same place and when we did need to use external platforms it was easy to link them into the overall project to still be able to use lucid as our main visual whiteboard.
