Leader in Backup Space
What do you like best about the product?
Veeam is very flexible in how you can configure it, it's hardware agnostic, and it's cost effective. It can meet any design and use case requirements ranging from small businesses to large and complex businesses. It's included utilities for AD, Exchange, and SQL are top notch, way better than any of the other similar utilities from other backup solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Veeam requires configuration and a bit more hands on management and administration because it is such an open and flexible platform. It is not set it and forget it, so if it's not setup correctly, you can expose yourself to risks from ransomware and hacking to poor performance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Veeam helps us meet our backup and restore requirements, while giving us better flexibility, better performance, at a lower cost than the backup solution we switched from.

It was easy to use. We had good luck with the product receiving backups.

I did not have any problems using Veeam.

It allowed us to have easy recovery of files as needed

I haven't found any issues with Veeam platform so far.

Makes the backup and restore processes easier. I also appreciate the support Veeam gives when we have issues.
I've worked in IT for over 25 years. Veeam is the best data backup product I've used.

It works, is flexible, has lots of capabilities, and the licensing model fits our small business.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really do not have any downsides to mention... and I'm not shy about pointing those out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Veeam to backup our entire infrastructure (for day-to-day data restoration purposes) and also for whole-VM restores (which falls more under disaster recovery). We also use it to maintain an air-gapped backup, which is crucial for malware/ransomware protection and recovery.

What do you like best about the product?
Veeam is simple and straightforward. Setup is easy and quick and has been their mantra for some time "It just works".
What do you dislike about the product?
High-level support for complex issues can be very lacking at times. Support might give you a "solution" to your issue and a link to their own website detailing the solution but will tell you that it's not a support fix and you have to do it yourself with no help from them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Veeam is a simple, straightforward solution for VM backups. Once jobs are created the solution requires minimal oversight.

It provides a fast and secure backup and a reliable recovery. We use it on various platforms and hybrid cloud environment

Some time the cpu usage is high, it may affact the server performance.

What do you like best about the product?
Veeam is simple to use but has powerful capabilities. Speed is top notch.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, my only complaint about Veeam is the licensing. It's only purchasable in packs of 10 and every unique VM requires a license. This gets rather expensive.

Veeam is a COMPLETE backup solution. From full bare metal recovery down to single file recovery Veeam has you covered.

Easy to use. Restoring data is quick and easy. View "all time" during restoration is nice.

Nothing that I have come across so far that I dislike.

Veeam is a full solution that provides all the features we need such as replication, recovery and backups.

The best thing about Veeam is it's simple setup and how quick you can get off the ground to start using the product.
I've used many various pieces of backup technology over the years, but I can't sing Veeam's praises high enough.

What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I didn't initially like about Veeam was the inability to perform 15 minute incremental backups like StorageCraft, that said if you utilise shadow copies, then you have nothing to worry about.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping everything in one place and ensuring quality products. Previous software has always hidden things away with different bits of software or having to use different platforms to maintain the backups.

it is easy for use to setup the backup stertage and simplifed tools make backup admin job easy. it gives more visiual to understand the task schedules

the over all software package size is bit high.
