VEAM in a SCADA environment
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of restoration and the comfort it gives me to know that I can quickly recover from a disaster.
What do you dislike about the product?
It was a bit clunky to assign backups to NAS drives.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me sleep better at night.
Great Product, Great Support
What do you like best about the product?
Veeam takes the guesswork and the hassle out of backup, inspiring confidence. It's easy to use, gives me all the info I need and nothing I don't. It's flexible and full-featured.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to dislike really; I've used too many backup apps that really caused me pain!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Veeam Backup & Replication quietly and efficiently looks after all my daily, weekly and monthly backup tasks, to disk, cloud and tape as well as offsite replication.
Extremely powerful and easy to use!!
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is great and welcoming. It can connect to NAS and backup our virtual machines from the server. We would love to use Veeam to make online backups to the cloud but we are a bit far away on that.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing we do not like is the extra per TB licensing fees to backup unstructured data. We have a bit of data which needs to be backed up as unstructured data to be accessible inc ase of server downtime.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Windows Server backup size issue is the one Veeam is solving for us and also making things automated. The automatic backup feature which works daily or weekly has been the most beneficial for us.
Veeam makes everything easy
What do you like best about the product?
It's consistently easy to use and setup. No big wild changes that make you have to relearn how to use everything.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cloud replication setup is still has a bit of a learning curve, but again, once it is set up, it works flawlessly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps keep our server machines and other mission critical systems able to be brought back up from a disaster in minutes or hours.

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Veeam for most of my career in IT. The product just works and is always seamless. If I do have an issue, the Veeam user community is great and Veeam support is always very responsive. I have actually joinged three different companies and have switched them from a different backup solution to Veeam just because of how painless this product has been for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a whole lot I do not like about this product. I wish there was a Veeam application that can be installed on a desktop that isn't as heavy as the one you would install on the server.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has made taking backups way more efficient. We have cutdown on failures compared to other products and when we receive an email that backup job failed, it is almost never Veeam's fault.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just go with Veeam, you will not be upset.

A Refreshing Backup Solution
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate with Veeam that you are in full control of your backups. Every detail about your backups can be customized to your needs. I also appreciate you are never vendor locked with your storage solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Veeam leaves very few things to dislike. If there were anything else I'd wish for, I would more features for the SMB backup function. Rumor has it that version 12 will bring further features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With other backup competitors, we dealt with borderline sleazy business practices such as reaching out to our clients directly for renewals. Other issues we previously had that were solved with Veeam is not being vendor locked.

I wish it could be installed faster. The Veeam agent could have been built in. It could be an option during installation. There could be support for more than 10 virtual machines in the free version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can make backups. I also handle my replication processes without any problems. Definitely yes. I forgot about the backup thing. Everything works like clockwork.

I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fast and powerful partner. Veeam Backup is like a wingman to me :)
