What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it could be installed faster. The Veeam agent could have been built in. It could be an option during installation. There could be support for more than 10 virtual machines in the free version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can make backups. I also handle my replication processes without any problems. Definitely yes. I forgot about the backup thing. Everything works like clockwork.

I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fast and powerful partner. Veeam Backup is like a wingman to me :)

Best Onsite Backup Used in YEARS
What do you like best about the product?
Veeam Backup & Replication is extremely to not only get up and running within the enterprise, but also easy for all to use and perform various restoration work.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have encountered some issues with backup systems requiring a larger amount of resources to work correctly. Whilst this is unfortunate, it is of a benefit overall as the performance gained outstrips the additional resource requirements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The backup solution in place was inadequate and unreliable - too many free tools and no real workflow or process around backups. Veeam has assisted with achieving more reliable backups and restorations have always been successful.

What do you like best about the product?
Veeam provides me a single pane of glass from which to manage all my backup and replications jobs, wether that be to on premise backup repositories or to a cloud vault.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've racked my brain for a downside of veeam but I honestly don't think there is one?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Veeam is ensuring all our data is stored and backed up securely for in the event of a disaster and we need to recover.
Easy to use software, great features and developers stay head to head with new versions.
What do you like best about the product?
Instant recovery is the best in case of a loss of a VM. I like the fact that you can use multiple proxy to backup data through WAN. Setting up scheduling is easy once you know what you are doing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Support is not directly accessible by phone. You need to get a ticket first then they call you which can take some time. You have to relicense when switching major versions (i.e 9 to 10).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were having issues with Netbackup which couldn't recover files on windows servers with deduplication enabled. No issues with Veeam so we switched. Also backups were taking a sweet time with Netbackup, with Veeam it is much faster.

Veeam Backup & Replication is my favorite backup solution!
What do you like best about the product?
Veeam Backup & Replication is easy to setup, use and manage. The admin console is very easy to use and understand and it just works! I have used others and always chose Veeam Backup & Replication over all others.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't had any issues with Veeam Backup & Replication and have always been able to backup and restore files or systems as needed, so no complaints. I can't think of anything negative to say about it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed to be able to backup my servers, both onsite and offsite, and Veeam Backup & Replication easily does that for me. It was very simple to setup my offsite backup copy jobs also.

I recommend Veeam Backup & Replication above all other backup solutions.

Veeam is powerful in its capabilities for backups and replication. Love the flexibility and reliability of the product.

Haven't found anything that I didn't like.

Having one tool for backups and replication. It's always available and whenever I want to restore something it has been there. Most of the time I forget i even have backups running.

If you are looking for something very reliable and always working. Veeam is the answer.
Veeam is the best backup solution available today

Veeam, even in its free option, offers good options of tools for backup demands, with ample possibility of customization to meet different profiles.
What do you dislike about the product?
Installing updates (on the Veeam backup server) can cause some system-breaking issues. Important to do the approval in the test environment before.

I use Veeam Backup & Replication as one of the backup solutions in my virtualized environments. We gained agility in backup tasks using the solution.
Great backup software for everything you need to backup at your datacenter
What do you like best about the product?
I like the software is very easy to configure and use. It is very powerful and does backup very fast.
There are a lot of features from backup to replication to continuous data protection and they are very stable once you get them setup and running.

What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I don't like is sometimes the merge time on the rotating offline media can take pretty long. The root issue may not be on the Veeam side, but maybe just the speed of the offline media.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to make a lot more backups in a much shorter time with disked online media. I'm able to meet the backup windows for all the backups I need on a daily basis. In addition, VMs can be replicated to DR site in a much faster fashion.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Veeam backup is the #1 backup and you won't go wrong with using it.

Nothing, it is a simple tool that integrates perfectly with our infrastructure.

We didn't have backups of our VMs with Linux.
