Great Backup and Replication Software
What do you like best about the product?
They are offering new cloud-hosted options for users who do not want to manage storage on their own.
What do you dislike about the product?
They could improve the explanation of products better, especially when it comes to Entra ID and Azure AD.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving the problem of how to backup VMs, as well as some physical servers and PCs. With this software we are able to repliably prevent data loss. Helps get clients backup up and running quickly since we use it mostly with VMware. When it setup and working it works very well. Disaster recovery is one of the main reasons we use this software, but it is also great for restoring files that accidently get deleted by end users. We have been able to successfully recover from corupt VMs due to ransomware and bad windows updates since we are using this software.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are using a virtual environment, then this is great software. Easy to get servers backed up and replicated, which makes disaster recovery much easier. Great support when it is needed. Easy to upgrade to new versions when they are released. Works well with VMware. Supports ESXi version from at least 5.5 to the current version. NAS backups is now included.
Veeam backup for Microsoft O365
What do you like best about the product?
I am using veeam backup replication for my Vmware machine backup and this veeam help me very quickly restore file based and vm machine. I also started use veeam backup for Microsoft O365 sharepoint backup, in the begining i had some trouble taking backup for sites then i took technical support from veeam and my issue fixed.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like veeam's showed alert messages due to they are not as event id so that is not easy to find solve trouble.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My need for tape backup has disappeared and it has solved my work with much faster backup and restore from backup.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think would be technical webpage not as form website and errors would be as event id as Microsoft to solve problems easly.
Veeam back and replication - Excellent app for our backup environment

Service looks great and easy to manage. Customer service is very responsive for our all queries

More features . Veeam office 365 backups still lacks so many features .
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have faced few errors with our backups couple of months back and solved it with the help of customer service within hours .

What do you like best about the product?
Veeam Backup and Replication is easy to setup and configure and it just works. When there is a problem, their support is fast and knowledgeable.
What do you dislike about the product?
The feature set is rich and can be overwhelming, but they do have plenty of training materials. It just will take some time to go through them all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Backups are critical for data security and business continuity. Veeam Backup and Replication solves both of these with one solution.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend setting up a repository server with a drive using ReFS to take advantage of the inherent duplication that Veeam ha6d with that file system.
Veeam B&R - a solid solution with many features
What do you like best about the product?
I like the stability of Veeam and the constant improvements they make to keep up with the ever-changing world of software. I've been using Veeam for years and as a backup solution for our VMWare environment, it has given us peace of mind knowing our backups are stable and available without issues. Veeam has allowed us to recover servers when they've gone down, recover deleted files for users and spin up servers in a QA environment from our production environment when needed. Added features like cloud backup, O365 backup and protection from ransomware are added bonuses.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I don't like about Veeam is the fact that if you end up with a corrupted backup file, like when a hard drive fails or some other event happens, there's no way to remove the corrupted backup file from inventory cleanly. You basically have to start your backup set over from scratch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Veeam has given us peace of mind that our data is stored securely and archived according to our RTO's and RPO's. There has been little need for tech support and in those cases, the issues ended up being with the hardware that was being used for the backups.
Veeam Backup & Replication just works
What do you like best about the product?
The ease, flexibility, and intuitiveness. It's a simple but potent backup and replication. The newest version (v11) has CDP and does storage snapshots if you have the appropriate license.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't dislike anything at this moment. Their support is good when I need them. I'm good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Not only do I backup and sleep well at night, but I've also been able to document our DR plan and incorporate it into our IR playbooks.

Veeam takes care of everything! It truly is a "set it and forget it" software that is easy to configure, easy to use in recovery, and easy to test to ensure that all is working properly
What do you dislike about the product?
The hardest part for me was not being able to use my old ways of restoring SQL Backups - but once I learned the Veeam interface, I was good to go!

What do you like best about the product?
In Veeam, one of the best feature is VM Backup and restore process. It is so easy to manage and easily understable process. Another most liked feature is image recovery. We can recover any manching easily within fure minutes. there are lots of features that i liked most and another one is it's replication feature. We can integrate with Vmware environment very easily and can replicate virtual machines from one DC to another DC very easily. We can replicate VMs within same DC in different Datastores as well. Which gives very easy operation feature incase of any issue withing VM.
We can create backup jobs based on the application on the server. We can backup and store file in any secondary storage easily and can run backed up machine within few clicks. It is very easy to setup, configure and manage. Can create backup and replication jobs very easily and fast.

What do you dislike about the product?
There is not any such thing that i disliked within Veeam software till date.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the major issue we resolved was keeping backup machine in Vmware environment. Previously it was not that easy to maintain image backup within VMware environment and there was changes of data loss without this feature, but after implementing this feature it is lot more easy to keep scheduled backup/replication and keep them safe in multiple locations as well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I strongly recommend to use this software.
