Veeam Backup & Replication Review
What do you like best about the product?
This product is very easy to use. The configuration and setup was simple. Licensing is very inexpensive, compared to another solution we've been using.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have only been using this product for a little over 1 month, but so far I don't have anything negative to say about it. We've tested restores, and it handle the job very well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using this for vm replication and data backup at our smaller secondary campus. This product also has the ability to replicate to another server at our main data center for disaster recovery.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely worth trying. The implementation took less than 1 hour, and has options for disaster recovery.
A great software to backup and replicate your data
What do you like best about the product?
We have many Virtual machines and we use Veeam Backup & Replication to take those VM’s backups. Also, we use it to replicate backups to a remote location and we have tape backup also. Creating backup jobs, replication jobs, and tape jobs are straightforward. Implementation was easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it failed to replicated when hard disk drive getting low. Other than that I have not noticed any major issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
An organization should keep backups of their servers, endpoints in case of system failure. Veeam Backup & Replication is an excellent and fully functional backup and recovery solution an organization must have.

This is a great solution keep backup of your Virtual servers.

One of the best backup solutions you can buy. The best part is how easy to is to setup and actually do backups. Its basically on autopilot and you really cant beat that. I highly recommend this to everyone

Easy free backup tool, better than Windows Server Backup
What do you like best about the product?
Once you install Veeam server then you will be able to manage all of your endpoints from ONE console. You can create a protection plan and add your workstation/servers into this plan.. This software is really easy to install, configure and use. Easy to use, easy to manage backups, completely free. It does what it needs to do. Backup your Windows computer or server. Works both physical and virtual. Feature rich product that is constantly being updated/ upgraded. Customer support is well organized and will help you reasonably quickly find the solution to your problem.
What do you dislike about the product?
No application aware backups possible. For instance, not possible to trunk SQL log files. Also no multiple schedules available. Troubleshooting can involve sifting through Debug logs, as errors tend to be generic in nature. While Veeam is working hard on de-bugging this software, it still has bugs. There isn't much I don't like about this software.I did find that the backup process consumed resources in an inconsistent manner on select servers. I was unable to diagnose the cause of the resource usage several times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provides a point solution for non-VM machines and to individual machines in our staff population that need backup protection. The value of the software is apparent though there are more feature-rich options available. It's more flexible and reliable that Windows native backup utility and it allows for file level backups from an image backup.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't forget to create the recovery ISO, that way you can restore your machine to any other device.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of setup, backup creation, restoration, and monitoring.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing about this product that I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We solve all of our virtualization backup needs with the Veeam Availability Suite.

Do you backup virtualization workloads? There is no better product.
DraaS Veeam Great Backup
What do you like best about the product?
The product is easy to install and run in a native cloud environment on AWS. Then pushing the backup to an S3 bucket, and then Glacier could stoeage.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface is nice but could be more intuitive for backing up VM's and terabytes of data. I think the console for installation needs some work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am trying to backup Outlook, Sharepoint, and Visio files for my corporate customers as the it admin.

People should look at AWS and Azure for doing backups on Veeam DraaS

What do you like best about the product?
VEEAM is easy to use. It can be up and running in a matter of a couple of hours. Once you've set it up, it runs on its own like it's supposed to.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see more around creating a mass schedule instead of having to create multiple backup jobs for daily monthly yearly etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have backups now! We did not have backups at all, unfortunately. Now we have a great solution that fits our backup needs- and at a great price!
Backing up software with extra features
What do you like best about the product?
Veeam is brilliant, the best part of Veeam is the backup & replication, being able to transfer live virtual machines from one host to another, that's just what we needed
What do you dislike about the product?
the licensing costs for the extra features are quite a cost which you have to pay every year if you want to keep those features
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we've recently gone through a whole network infrastructure refresh, replacing 20 Hosts down to just 3 Hosts, Veeam has been brilliant for that, I was able to migrate the VM's from old of the old Hosts to the new Hosts without any issues.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
if your looking for something that does everything you want to do and move i'd pick Veeam the free package is also really good value.

What do you like best about the product?
Veeam offer a great integration with vmware, aws, azure , acropolis and hyper-v . It also support backup of physical servers. You will be able to backup and replicate all your data easily

If you want to go to cloud with Veeam you will need to add your cloud storage . There is no prefered price included for this scenario. It could be a great additio
