Very Good
What do you like best about the product?
Veeam Explorers allow us to pinpoint exactly what needs to be recovered. I like Veeam Explorers for Microsoft Active directory, Microsoft SQL Server, and for Microsoft exchange. The new Explorers make recovery easier and more efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
•Snapshots, snapshot integration technologies.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Giving my users higher efficiency for protection storage. I love the DD Boost can result in up to 50% faster performance for backups at work.
Fantastic Product
What do you like best about the product?
Everything! This product is amazing, I have tried and used so many different backup and disaster recovery solutions and in my opinion 99% fall short of the feature set that is inherent within Veeam. Ease of set up, recoverability, knowledge base, support, etc is all very well done
What do you dislike about the product?
Hard to say I dislike anything as the product meets all of my requirements. The obvious one being the fact that the solution does not inherently support physical machines but in the last year Veeam has come out with the Windows and Linux agents which from my experience work very well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing a reliable and high integrity backup and recovery solution. The majority of backup and recovery products I have used I was always skeptical of the ability to restore and in a lot of situations where recovery was tested it was not fool proof... Veeam is fool proof!

Please use this product, simple and plain. It will make your life much easier!

Best in Class Backup Solution with a Caveat
What do you like best about the product?
Veeam is extremely easy to use and maintain. It works flawlessly, and when the rare issue does arise, the software gives useful and details error messages.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cloud feature set is limited. It seems like Veeam wants to lock users into their proprietary cloud options. Building your own is possible, but not out of the box.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Disaster recovery.

I highly recommend trying Veeam, the software and the analytics provided has made our backup process easy and reliable.
A rock solid product!
What do you like best about the product?
We really appreciate the ease of use and robustness of the product. We have a small IT staff, so once we had things setup we were able to move on to other IT initiatives. Also being a small shop makes it difficult to keep up with regularly checking on the virtual machine backups, so the reliability of the system was a huge plus for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have yet to find something we do not like about the product. The product just works. We have not run into any issue or problems in the last 5 years of use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Protection and high availability of our virtual systems is a priority. This system was an easy answer to that.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
In the last 5 years we have not bothered to look for other competing solutions as we are extremely satisfied with Veeam.

What do you like best about the product?
The Veeam suite, while it has a learning curve, as most things do, is so robust and powerful I couldn't imagine wanting to use any other backup solution for a virtualized environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
Learning curve, cost of startup, Setting up backup needs can be very time consuming in large environments.

The best backup solution for VM backups
What do you like best about the product?
The product is extremely easy to use. It is very efficient and fast. Recovery is extremely easy to accomplish. It makes running our virtual environment extremely easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The speed in which it reads backups to accomplish recoveries could stand some improvement. Also the licensing could yes some clarify, it tends to be a bit convoluted and confusing at times. Also better support for offsite drives would be huge.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The need for reliable backups has been solved. Also our need for an offsite copy incase of disaster recovery.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Check the licensing you are looking to purchase carefully. This part can be a bit confusing and you want to make sure you are purchasing what you need. Also make sure you combine like machines into one job. This will dramatically reduce the size of your backups.

Reliable backup with rich functionality. Individual Items restore for Ad, Exchange, MS SQL and SharePoint.

Need improvements to work with public clouds

Business critical backup solution. Most functions are there.

What do you like best about the product?
Veeam AS allows you to have virtual backups immediately available for restores locally and it allows you to replicate those virtual backups to the cloud with no additional software to purchase.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only bad thing is that when you restore from the cloud - you pay for the entire back up to be restored. Not just a file search.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Basically eliminating the need for a collocation with hardware to replicate your backups to.

When purchasing the the software you buy it specifically for the type of storage you have.
