ZoomInfo is a solid corporate and contact intelligence platform
What do you like best about the product?
We've just gotten started with ZoomInfo, but so far it has a few things that we like:
1. Its got a rich database of company and contact information
2. It integrates nicely into salesforce
3. The search function is very real-time responsive, which makes it easier to use and helpful when cross-referencing against LinkedIn for example
4. Its pretty easy to do update lists of information

What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the default settings are a bit tricky and less than totally intuitive, so you definitely need to get walked through how to use the search most effectively or else you'll end up with results that you might not expect and won't be as pleased with. Specifically, you have to select manually that you want email or email + phone in the records. That seems like it should be the default.
So be careful of that.

We are building out targeting for marketing and sales purposes and ZoomInfo helps us to qualify companies effectively and build out lists.

What do you like best about the product?
ZoomInfo is very accurate, giving me the ability to confirm my contacts effectively in a timely fashion.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, information is very off. Overall, this is a minimal problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a marketing firm, we need to be up-to-date with contacts in order to give an effective pitch. This software has been able to provide this and more effectively.

ZoomInfo is a great tool, and directly impacts my success as a sales rep.
What do you like best about the product?
ZoomInfo offers the best platform I've discovered for finding information on companies to target. I would say it is the most critical thing I do in order to ensure I'm successful.
What do you dislike about the product?
My greatest dislike, is that I have no real visibility when I pull lists as to whether or not the companies I'm pulling have already been targeted in my database.

Adding accounts and contacts into the database to receive marketing material.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to upload lists of companies with no contacts and then create a contact list from desired titles and roles.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the interface could be more intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Finding new companies and/contacts (with contact information) in niche markets where we previously had no such information.

What do you like best about the product?
Data is up to date compared to other data sources that I have used. Their interface and ability to mesh will with Salesforce is a big plus as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
The process for building a list could use some more customization items, but that is fairly nitpicky
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data sources and territory building for Marketing/Sales. I have been able to reach prospects and clients that other data sources may not have lead me to.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are in sales/marketing and looking for some of the most up-to-date prospect data, this is one of the best sources to use. They are very prompt on updating their data frequently and scrubbing out bad data.

The ability to find potential contacts and narrow it down to email and phone numbers

A lot of the contacts are not recent and some of them are even overseas even though they say it's in the location you selected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am attempting to contact them as potential leads for clients.

What do you like best about the product?
The number of contacts and direct lines.
What do you dislike about the product?
I come across old/bad contacts pretty frequently. I wouldn't necessarily that this issue is worth their product though. It's just part of the business to not be able to have perfect information.

They've been our source for 98% of the contacts we have in Salesforce.

Zoominfo is extremely easy to use. The database is very extensive and you can use a suppression list to avoid duplicates.
What do you dislike about the product?
I sometimes find that the email address or phone numbers are off, but that doesn't happen very often. Their accuracy is very good!

What do you like best about the product?
Accuracy of NA contact data, org charts and ability to segment data. Daily alerts is a good feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
Size of database is increasing but still smaller compared to few other platforms
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Finding relevant contacts at new companies in our target market, scrubbing some existing contacts

Getting access to right contacts is only piece of the puzzle and DiscoverOrg does that reasonably well but don't expect it to solve all your challenges in penetrating new market segments and customer accounts
