Appto provides a powerful, flexible tool to combine financial and operational data in a way that is repeatable, reliable, and accessible.
What do you dislike about the product?
Apptio's flexibility requires careful consideration before implementing changes to the structure. An ill-advised update can have significant downstream effects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows us to apply structure to analyzing It operations beyond the basic financial reporting level. The flexibility to look at costs by application, service, or project allows multiple levels of IT leaders to focus on their own needs.

It is easy to implement and quick to realize value.

Reports can be overwhelming for non-apptio users,

We are using Apptio to allocate shared services on a consumption basis. We are also using it to report on telecom expense and P&L reporting. We are in the process of implementing Planning and will be using that for budgeting.

I find IBM Apptio incredibly easy to use, with an initial setup process that just worked seamlessly, removing potential hurdles for new users. Additionally, its utility and informative nature make it an invaluable tool for cost management of AWS resources, offering insights and details that aid in making informed financial decisions. The overall user experience is highly positive, prompting me to enthusiastically recommend IBM Apptio to others, as reflected by my high likelihood of recommending it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The documentation for IBM Apptio is not always kept up to date, which can pose challenges when trying to find relevant and current information. Additionally, the process for deploying IBM Apptio could be improved by integrating it into the AWS Marketplace, which would simplify the deployment process by automatically setting up within AWS accounts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use IBM Apptio for AWS cost management, finding it easy to use and informative, which simplifies my resource tracking. The setup worked seamlessly.
