It helps us allocate the IT cost to all Business Units and keep the cost model up to date

ApptioOne puts all of the relevant financial information into an easy to understand and accesible format for gathering data and creating meaningful presentations for leadership!
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside to Apptio is that it will quickly show you gaps in your data and processes which leads to additional work but will benefit your company in the long run
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ApptioOne is providing the platform needed to research and identity spend much quicker than our traditional company methods

Navigation.It was very easy to use for new comers.

Performance. I found the performance to be little slow.

Complext ERP Solution like managing the IT side of ERP.
ApptioOne provides insights we've never come close to having before.
What do you like best about the product?
The various products interact with one another very seamlessly. They're very intuitive for end users, with simple navigation that mirrors other common products. The back-end modeling and report building also has a really strong structure for the business analysts to work from.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downsides are relatively small, with somewhat limited customization of report colors, text, etc. Certain products, such as Apptio BI are still being built out, so they're also a bit limited for the time being.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's solving problems by helping our organization understand where IT resources are being consumed from a technology standpoint, as well as how those costs are allocated out to the business. It provides great detail to our business partners in understanding and acting strategically on their charges, as the previous (non-Apptio) reporting provided only a summarized monthly number.
We're also in the process of implementing IT Planning which will give our tech finance analysts and tech managers a streamlined and centralized way of controlling their budget/forecasts. This will also help feed forecast/budget data into our other Apptio products for enhanced reporting.

Apptioone helps in cloud billing
What do you like best about the product?
Apptioone helps in cloud billing a lot. using the tags on all assets in aws cloud and then integrating apptioone tool with aws account, the tool helps in generating bills for divisons and help in providing insight on what divisions are consuming more on cloud.
What do you dislike about the product?
Apptioone tool becomes slow or non-responsive lot of time, also it gives sso error lot of time. so support teams could really do some investigation there.
Apptioone tool does not have any feature to add misisng tags in aws cloud, may be this feature can be introduced in future releases.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apptioone tool helps us in generating monthly bills for us based on costcenter and divisional tags added on aws assets. it helps us knowing which application, division has more cloud consumption. there are some divisions who follow best pactises while others do not, the custom billing reports generated by apptioone helps us in knowing which divions are doing good and which not.
Love this tool to bring both on-prem and cloud cost together

Love the user experience and design. This tool is great in molding the architecture to bring the on-prem and cloud cost together.

The documention is less for this ApptioOne tool.

We are trying to Show cost transprency to all our consumers and this tool is giving the best in industry experience in bring the on-prem and cloud cost together
Easy to use Financial Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Apptio Business Management simplifies data processing. Due to the tool's openness, my organization and I can quickly discover and fix cost drivers. The IT department's most transparent program. It simplifies company-wide search.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not enough to have retrievable data; we need consistent data as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ApptioOne calculates direct and indirect costs for products, services, and solutions. ApptioOne tracks asset ages internally. It helps the firm assign and locate laptops/desktops. We alert multi-machine users with its reporting capabilities and hardware location information. Reports track device kinds and user preferences.
ApptioOne is a Must Have for Budgeting and Forecasting
What do you like best about the product?
Our team has been diving deeper into Application Rationalization and the modeling aspects have helped tremendously in doing so. We have adjusted our allocations to show each part of an application's cost based on our data.
What do you dislike about the product?
The idea of an embedded AI function is great but the light bulb icon on the screen at all times is annoying. When you try to move it out of the way, it gets stuck and causes more of an issue. There should just be a "hide" option that you can click to remove the icon altogether.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ApptioOne helped us to solve our budgeting and forecasting issues. We forecast once per month, which in turn rolls into our annual budgeting process. Many departments tend to add extra items during "budgeting" but we are slowly but surely making the necessary adjustments so budgeting is not as much of a bear.
ApptioOne is a great tool for Total Cost of Ownership and beyond
What do you like best about the product?
ApptioOne is the best holistic tool to see the cost allocation for both on-prem and public cloud spend. This tool has various out-of-the-box reports that give you the KPIs and an understanding of the allocated cost.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing in particular. Everything is good; I can't point to any dislike features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ApptioOne is helping us in allocating the cost of various services which our org is providing to our customers and provides the holistic picture of the total cost of ownership for both on-prem and public cloud costs.

What do you like best about the product?
The ablity to allocate actual cost spend from Cost Source to Infrastructure and then to Business Unit Level. The reports are use friendly from the end user perspective and give very insightfull information which helps in making informed decisions
What do you dislike about the product?
At times environment becomes very slow and takes noticible amount of time to load reports. Some more functionality can be added for reporting such as diffrent types of chart we have in BI Tools like Power BI or Tableau for eg Do Nut Chart or Geo information. If an organization has multiple geo presence it could be beneficial
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping to charge back to Business Units using ApptioOne and Bill of IT Product. Also we are able to tie all the IT Infrastructure Spends to Business Unit
