Conga Composer makes document generation real easy
What do you like best about the product?
Conga Composer is easy to set up. It gives you enough leverage to start and get going with minimum effort. Conga has real good documentation to walk us through the installation and configuration process. It also gives you enough room to customize your application according to your requirement. You can make it as complex as you can to suit your business. However, the end-user doesn't see this complexity and a single button click does the job.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some extra features, which might be needed in one module, say, Composer, is not available with the package. Business might have to pay extra for it. Also, a well-organized documentation repository is provided, but its not well indexed as google doesnt reach all the nook and crannies of this repository. Sometimes a simple web search shows that few particular things cant be done, although if someone goes deep into the Conga documentation, they can see that it pretty much possible with Conga. If the customer pays for the composer license, the dynamic-clause-removal-and-addition doesnt come as out of the box. either you will have to bend your back to create it by yourself, or will have to pay extra.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used conga to generate user contracts in pdf formats. Previously, we were using heavy coding to implement the same thing. If we needed to change any text in those contracts, we needed to change the coding, which is somewhat hassling. Conga decreased the coding by almost 90% and now changes can be on the fly and without changing the code. It has become user-friendly as it's much faster now and an admin can do the document changes without going too technical.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use custom metadata, settings to store the conga template ids rather than hardcoding in Salesforce apex classes. that will make it easy to deploy and to change on the fly. You can use custom settings by thats getting outdated now
Excellent Software/Contract Creation Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I think the best/unique part about conga is the integration it has with the platform. You can merge information using queries/reports/visualizations to import all this data.
What do you dislike about the product?
If is a bit of a steep learning curve, especially if you aren't familiar with SOQL. But the power this provides is incredible. It allows you to build/manage extremely complex documents.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Were implementing our contract agreements through the Conga Composer/Sign/Contract products, and this is completely streamlining our sales process from end-to-end.

Can't Live Without It!
What do you like best about the product?
Conga Document Generation (Composer) is INCREDIBLY flexible, which makes it so powerful. It does a fantastic job creating picture-perfect, error-free documents right out of Salesforce.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's a little bit of a learning curve initially, but once you grasp it, the benefits are tremendous.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Conga Document Generation has helped me solve Contracts, Quotes, Proposals, Order Forms, etc. Suppose there's a document that you're manually, painfully populating with Salesforce Data, STOP. Start using Conga Document Generation to reduce errors and automate your docs.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that the templates generated can be so robust and in-depth. I would say that the best features of CongaSign are the level of automation that I have for customization, as well as for creating actionable events such as "self-destructing documents."
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes configuration can require some fine-tuning. The UI can be a bit clunky to understand at first, but once you understand the UI, it is no longer confusing and transferrable between different parts of Conga. Conga could be more friendly for an average user but is comfortable for more advanced computer users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems that we are handling are digital signatures, contract templates, and workflow automation. Basically, anything to get a contract to a prospect.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a document creation tool that is more robust than DocuSign, and allows for automation of tedious business practices such as making contracts that will be similar frequently, consider using Conga. I would say that Conga would be more appropriate for medium-large businesses because of the amount of setup that it requires. You would want to have a dedicated administrator for this piece of software, or at least for the junction of Salesforce and Conga.

What do you like best about the product?
Every document is accurate and created quickly. Conga also makes it easy to send. Easily integrates with Salesforce CRM
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much to dislike. I've never really had a problem using it with the SFDC integration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Conga saves a lot of time and click work by creating the documents needed within Salesforce. Much more productive than having to develop on my own.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a good Salesforce App. I haven't seen any other that works as well.

Sometimes it can take awhile for the page to load.

Conga provides a lot of versatility into the document generation and contract process. It allowed us to scale our contract process in a unique environment where we struggled with other vendors.
What do you dislike about the product?
The setup took a big longer than we thought as we ran into integration issues. Additionally, it is a bit higher maintenance than we were accustomed to compared to previous vendors we used
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Virtual contract signing and in-line editing on Saleforce. Both were huge successes for us in terms of adoption. We recently rolled out the Conga grid tool that allows us to mass edit things all within salesforce.

What do you like best about the product?
I have been working on conga composer, conga trigger, and conga batch. I had a complex requirement of generating lot of PDF based on the salesforce records. I am fully satisfied with the working and ease of use of conga product.

When document generation fails, it does not show the exacat error.
