Simple, Affordable, and Easy-to-Use Admin Platform

What do you like best about the product?
It’s simple, affordably priced, and the admin platform is easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
For now, I’m not sure yet. I plan to try using it by integrating it with Jira, but I haven’t done that so far, so I can’t say much more at the moment. That said, it would be nice to have more graphic resources and a larger icon database to build diagrams and conceptual schemes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It speeds up the design of both software and hardware architectures, improves communication between teams, and makes it possible to communicate directly even with non-technical people in the company.

What do you like best about the product?
Collaboration work where all members can participate together in real time, or join later while we still keep track and control their updates.
What do you dislike about the product?
The graphic design and overall presentation sometimes don’t fully cover all the objects we want to show.

A good online dashboard that helps people work remotely in the current situation, such as COVID and the currently high cost of traveling.

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Miro Business - Enterprise involves putting thoughts into the Miro board. For example, we use this tool in our sprint planning to map out our entire three-month workflow, starting from gathering requirements to production. We prepare charts on the Miro dashboard during long meetings, which allow us to decide on tasks, input, and dependencies in real-time. This tool particularly helps during discussions about system design, architecting new solutions, or enhancements. Additionally, we utilize another Miro board for our complete three-month course, where we refer to what is pending and what we require from a product owner perspective. Another significant use case involves retrospectives, where we divide our projects into sprints and discuss what went well and what needs improvement through anonymous sticky notes in Miro.

Using Miro Business - Enterprise has made a significant difference for my team when we worked on a feature involving multiple teams, such as backend, frontend, and QA, because there was confusion regarding the data flow between services. Initially, discussions over calls and chats lacked clarity, and we found ourselves going back and forth with no conclusions. Miro helped us coordinate across multiple groups, particularly when confusion arose about how data should flow between services.

Initially, discussions were unclear and we kept going back and forth, but after transitioning everything to the Miro board and mapping out the flow visually with sticky notes, we could identify gaps in services, such as handling error responses, that we might have missed until later in testing. Miro allowed each team to add their inputs on the board, and within one session, we recognized where the service handling could be simplified, saving us a couple of days of back and forth as we handled API and service integration.

Regarding our main use cases for Miro Business - Enterprise, instead of merely discussing what went well or what did not during our calls, we use Miro with predefined templates where team members can anonymously share feedback. This approach uncovered that unclear ownership was causing delays in our development process, which might not have become apparent during a call. By visualizing our steps in Miro, we assigned responsibilities, and as a result, our next sprint deployments were much smoother, enhancing communication and transparency.

What is most valuable?

I want to mention the ability to leave comments on Miro boards. There are occasions when I cannot attend meetings. During such instances, I can go to the board, review comments left by my teammates, and add my thoughts or tag others for clarification, which ensures I remain updated on discussions without being present.

Miro Business - Enterprise has positively impacted our organization noticeably, particularly in improving team alignment and expediting decision-making processes. Prior discussions were lengthy and convoluted. Now, Miro simplifies everything, providing clarity for everyone. In terms of measurable outcomes, Miro has saved several hours during planning and design every week.

From my perspective, Miro has allowed us to save at least two to three hours per month on individual features, as the board clearly outlines tasks and responsibilities, reducing the need for reiteration. Additionally, onboarding has become smoother because everything new members need to know is readily available on the board, minimizing the time they wait for assistance.

I would highlight some of the standout features for my team and me. Real-time collaboration is the most impactful because it allows multiple users to add their input simultaneously to the same board, thereby improving efficiency during sessions. Also, Miro provides templates for retrospectives, and the integration with tools such as Jira and Teams fits easily into our existing workflows.

What needs improvement?

I believe Miro can enhance its performance, particularly when dealing with large boards, as navigating from top to bottom can become challenging and sometimes slow. Moreover, it would be beneficial if Miro offered a folder structure for managing multiple boards, similar to other applications where sections can be organized neatly.

For how long have I used the solution?

I was working with a client that subscribed to Miro Business - Enterprise, and we have been using it for about four years now, primarily utilizing the Miro board every week.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Miro Business - Enterprise is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

In terms of scalability, I do not see it as a necessary point for the Miro board since it primarily serves as a visualization tool.

How are customer service and support?

I have not needed much support from Miro's team, but when adding new users, some scrum team members manage the process, so I believe we would receive good customer support due to Miro being a well-known solution.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We did not use a specific collaborative tool before Miro. We relied on platforms such as Notepad++, Teams chat, and OneNote, which were not inherently collaborative, making Miro a better option for our needs, leading us to adopt this tool.

What was our ROI?

Overall, we have seen a great return on investment with Miro Business - Enterprise, as it has saved time in planning discussions and reduced rework while improving team productivity by catching misunderstandings early in the development process.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We did not evaluate other specific options. However, our stakeholders might have considered a few other providers prior to choosing Miro, although I do not have specific names.

What other advice do I have?

For those considering Miro Business - Enterprise, I recommend starting with a clear use case, beginning with brainstorming sessions to acclimate the team and trying out templates to help keep things organized and structured. I would rate my overall experience with this product an 8 out of 10.

I really like Miro, but It could be more integrated to other tools

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Miro is really friendly and easy to understand how to use it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think Miro could be more integrated to design tools as figma, adobe and others
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The way Miro works is really easy to organize ideas, and put everybody to work together. I really like the templates, and how we can discover new ways to make a map or journney.

Intuitive Diagramming and Brainstorming with Helpful Templates

What do you like best about the product?
The easy is to create diagrams and brainstormings, the tools to be found are intuitive and useful to do so, even the pre-populated templates helps a lot to not start from the scratch
What do you dislike about the product?
The table feature has a particular bug that after a while their functionalities got completely limitated

It would be grate if Miro has some rule grids and snapping, cause sometimes is difficult while building diagrams, such as grouping some elements, whenever you need to scale I have identified another bug

A calendar plug-in would be great as well
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To ease the comunication between peers and internal flows, for product development is very useful to set up and draft ideas, explore concepts and initial drafts on wireframes even

What do you like best about the product?
I use Miro to create flowcharts and high-level design diagrams for my projects. It makes it easy to illustrate how data flows and how the overall process works, which I find really handy. I also like how simple it is to share boards and export images so I can attach them or send them anywhere to anyone. The integration with JIRA is one of the features I value most because it fits seamlessly into my workflow. On top of that, getting started with Miro was relatively easy, which was a big plus.
What do you dislike about the product?
It sometimes hangs when I’m working with large diagrams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps me illustrate data flows and process workflows for my MuleSoft projects, and it makes sharing and integrating with Jira easy.

What do you like best about the product?
I think Miro is really helpful for outlining job and onboarding workflows. It solves the annoyance of constantly having to draw boxes and arrows in software like Google Docs, making it more user-friendly, easy to share, and easy to view. I really appreciate the ease of use. I like that the arrows automatically pop up from boxes, so I don't need to click and check constantly. I also like that it connects to Claude, which is pretty cool. I thought the initial setup was pretty simple, especially once I was added to my company's Miro account.
What do you dislike about the product?

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro to outline job and onboarding workflows, which is really helpful. It solves the annoyance of doing boxes and arrows in Google Docs, making it user-friendly, easy to share, and view.
