Miro: Essential for Visualization, But a Steep Learning Curve for new users

  • April 03, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find Miro very easy to use for project planning and figuring out the scope of different phases. It's great for visualizing and communicating with executive leadership on different items. Private workspaces can be set up if needed. Lots of great pre built templates to choose from. I love how easily I can collaborate and conduct brainstorming sessions. Miro even has AI built into it to help consolidate and find themes from brainstorming sessions without having to go through line by line, which is super handy. I also love the open format, which helps me connect the dots for people in ways that work for my brain too.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that it's a trickier tool for new users to learn. They're accidentally dragging things around without meaning to, and they don't even realize kind of flipping back and forth between the cursor and the hand tool. So I end up locking a lot of the sheets mainly just because I want them to view it, but I don't need them to edit it. Some of the functionality, I think, could be a little bit more intuitive or adjusted to help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro for project planning and visualization. It's easy to put visuals together and share with different audiences. I can set up private workspaces and collaborate easily. Miro's AI helps consolidate and find themes from brainstorming sessions.

Straightforward, Easy-to-Learn Collaboration Across the Organization

  • April 02, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Miro is a collaborative tool we can use across the organization. Its features are straightforward and easy to pick up, even if you’re new to it. I also love the music!
What do you dislike about the product?
What I find difficult to use is Miro’s endless, infinite canvas format. I usually don’t use a mouse with zoom-in and zoom-out features, so I have to adjust the zoom manually, and it can be hard to navigate at times. It would really help to have an option for pages, or boards within Miro, that allow some zooming in and out but don’t feel infinite.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I currently work at a remote company, and Miro provides the same kind of service a physical whiteboard used to offer in a real office. I think that’s a genuinely great service. It lets us collaborate as if we were all in the same room, and I also find the timer feature useful.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to collaborate with teams in real time using boards, sticky notes, diagrams, and templates. The infinite canvas is very useful for brainstorming, planning workflows, and organizing ideas visually. Many users also praise its intuitive interface and collaboration features.

The performance is amazing. It automatically saves my work (including what I did yesterday or in previous sessions), so I can resume my training right where I left off.

Fun fact: I got Miro Premium from G2,
What do you dislike about the product?
Large boards can sometimes become cluttered and harder to navigate. Some advanced features are locked behind paid plans, and performance may slow on very heavy boards according to user feedback.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps manage brainstorming sessions, training plans, process mapping, and remote collaboration in one place. I use it to explain Salesforce concepts visually, create flowcharts, and collect ideas from teams or learners, which improves communication and saves time.

  • March 31, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Miro for daily work, like gathering requirements, brainstorming ideas with my team, creating sequence diagrams, and high-level UI/UX designs. Remote collaboration is very simple and quick with Miro, whether I'm sharing the screen or working on the same board with colleagues. I really like how responsive Miro is and how easy it is to make designs. The wireframes are very useful for building mockups that my team uses to build applications. The templates are a lifesaver when working with diagrams like sequence diagrams, or during retrospectives, as they help me quickly prepare backgrounds for my work. The initial setup of Miro was very easy, and I find it just perfect for everything I need, including my private projects. I also like that I can use it with tools like Jira, Confluence, and Claude AI, either to make diagrams in Miro or to interpret them.
What do you dislike about the product?
I once accidentally put some of my work as 'Cluster' and I couldn't revert that at all. It was a huge problem for me and I wasted couple of hours to recreate what I did before clustering.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro for gathering requirements, brainstorming, and UI/UX designs. It simplifies remote collaboration, making it easy to work with the team on the same board. The wireframes and templates speed up design processes, providing helpful backgrounds for retrospectives and diagrams.

Fun Team Collaboration with Plenty of Activity Options

  • March 30, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have a lot of fun working with my colleagues, and there are so many options to choose from among all the available activities.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it looks different on mobile devices. You can zoom in, but at times you lose the bigger picture. I know that’s very difficult to control, but maybe adding a small square showing the full canvas could help with navigation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When we do brainstorming, it sometimes gets stuck because everyone starts giving the same answers. With Miro, it’s easier to get ideas flowing, even when participation in our activities is low, and it helps us broaden our limits.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can create multiple flowcharts on one screen and drag and move around in one single Miro board. There are different shapes that I can use and different color codings that help differentiate steps in the process. It's very user-friendly. I also love that you can visually create your process flows, which makes it easier to explain complex processes. The setup was pretty easy with single sign-on access through our apps. I think Miro is a great tool, and I have no complaints against it.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing i do not like about Miro.

Miro helps create processes in a visual way, making it easier for the audience to understand, especially when explaining complex processes to leadership without using business jargon.

Empowers Remote Collaboration and Visual Planning

  • March 28, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Miro as a collaborative workspace where ideas evolve from rough thoughts to organized plans. I love how it feels like a digital whiteboard with unlimited space, making brainstorming more fluid. It's fantastic for mapping out ideas and visually organizing projects, which simplifies understanding at a glance. The real-time collaboration feature is incredible, allowing everyone to contribute by adding sticky notes, drawing connections, or commenting. This makes remote discussions interactive and productive. I appreciate the platform's flexibility; it lets me turn scattered ideas into clear, actionable plans. Miro supports the natural way of thinking and collaborating, allowing me the freedom to organize thoughts intuitively. It's impressive how it turns complex topics into clearer, structured ideas, fostering creativity and alignment within the team. The initial setup was straightforward and user-friendly, with simple prompts and templates that made getting started easy and productive. Overall, Miro is a space where ideas evolve, teams align, and plans take shape collaboratively and creatively.
What do you dislike about the product?
When boards become very large or contain a lot of elements, they can feel overwhelming or slower to navigate, making it take extra time to find specific sections or keep everything organized. The learning curve for new users could be smoother because the many features and tools can be intimidating. Managing permissions or keeping boards structured with many contributors can be tricky. Having more built-in tools for organizing large boards or guiding new users would improve the experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro to organize ideas into structured plans, solving scattered thoughts issues. It enhances collaboration with real-time contributions, clarifies communication through visual tools, and reduces confusion. It transforms brainstorming into efficient teamwork, especially for remote discussions, making complex ideas clear and actionable.
