Infinite Whiteboard Flexibility, But Flexibility lacking elsew;here

  • October 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I really appreciate is the freeform nature of this tool—the infinite whiteboard provides me with ample space to organize my work, which is a key reason I choose to use it. Since I can arrange everything exactly how I like, I always know where things are, and I can easily adapt the layout to suit my needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I primarily use the document feature, and while it is fairly basic and fulfills general needs, I would appreciate having more options for customizing the document's formatting. This would help me make my content easier to read and allow me to include more complex diagrams and structures. I like having the white page as a way to separate each thought, but I wish I could create multiple columns or add and freely move images around, among other enhancements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro enables me to collaborate with my coworkers virtually in a single, centralized space that we can revisit whenever needed. This is especially helpful for me, as without it, we would have to rely on less interactive or flexible tools, or even resort to pen and paper, which can be easily lost, damaged, or difficult to update.

Super Easy to Understand and Use

  • October 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to figure out what needs to be done, and the user experience has clearly been thoughtfully designed. When I set up workshops for my colleagues, they find it straightforward to understand how to use the tool and interact with its features.
Thanks to Miro, I spend more time thinking on what I want to do, than preparing the session
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, it can be challenging to locate the specific tool I need due to the sheer number of options available. I also occasionally find myself getting lost among the various templates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company operates internationally, with team members located in various places at the same time. Many of the exercises I want to conduct in my workshops—whether for prototyping or product management—typically require several people to be present together to discuss and make decisions. Miro enables us to do this remotely, allowing for effective collaboration regardless of location. Additionally, it helps us keep all the materials used during these sessions, making it easier to recall where and how decisions were made.

Simplified Idea Sharing and Strategy Execution

  • October 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find Miro incredibly valuable for visualizing and sharing my strategic concepts. It effectively helps me to take ideas from my mind and transform them into executable strategies. Miro aids in clearly conveying my vision, strategies, concepts, and execution plans with my collaborators, ensuring everyone understands and can align on how we will undertake projects. I appreciate its ease of use, which was a significant factor in my decision to choose Miro over other tools like Microsoft Whiteboard and MindMeister. Setting up Miro was straightforward and simple, complemented by useful basic tutorials that got me up and running quickly. The platform's simplicity in creating flowcharts and diagrams is commendable, aiding in initial project conceptualization. I look forward to exploring more advanced capabilities and templates as I become more familiar with the platform. Ultimately, the ease of use and capabilities stand out prominently, influencing my strong inclination to continue using Miro. I'm currently rating it an eight out of ten for recommending it to others, with the potential to go towards a perfect score as I explore more features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Most people want things as inexpensive as possible. I feel that the cost of Miro could be made more affordable. While the platform offers useful capabilities and ease of use, having a less expensive option would be beneficial.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro to share my visionary concepts with others, facilitating collaboration and aligning on strategies for execution.

Excellent for Collaboration, But Navigation Can Be Tricky

  • October 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is a fantastic way to visualize ideas and deliverables. We've found it particularly useful for reviewing emails. It provides a platform to collaborate on work that has been created in, or hosted by, other platforms with co-working capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
Miro can be difficult to navigate, at times, particularly when using a trackpad. It's not uncommon for our team to drag and move items accidentally while trying to move around the board.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a remote company, effective collaboration is a challenge for us. Miro acts as the working space for collaboration and is particularly useful as a shared screen on a group call.

Versatile Platform for Collaboration

  • October 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The use cases are endless and I use Miro multiple times per week to review old work as well as organise new. I have used Miro boards for workshops, brainstorming ideas, retrospectives, and flow charts. Our organisation has people with very different backgrounds and everyone has found Miro easy to use and I like that it's possible to collaborate even outside your organisation. I also tested the new AI features which worked decently even for Finnish language. Results were in English, but I can live with that.
What do you dislike about the product?
User management could be easier. It's hard to manage users since there are board access, space access, and team access, and within those there are roles. I'm just hoping for the best. Also, it's painful to handle boards owned by a removed person. It should be possible to move them to anyone, because it can be their higher up or their follower who should own the boards after the person leaves, not just admins.

I wish I could collaborate with people outside my organisation without the extra cost if they already have an account and editor role in their own organisation. It would be easier to just invite them to specific boards and not to our team.

I also would love to see a folder structure where I could drop older unused boards to folders and keep the active boards visible. Other thing that bugs me is the dot voting where it isn't possible to add more dots so that each person would have their own colour. Luckily, I noticed by accident that the new participants feature allows people to drag and drop their own face dot so we used that in voting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We work remotely and Miro allows us to collaborate and visualise our planning. It's nice to have everything in one place. Templates really help speeding up the beginning as that would usually be the most time consuming part to set up everything for the workshops.

A Decade of Collaborative Excellence with Miro

  • October 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Miro for over ten years as a user experience designer, and I really appreciate its collaborative nature. It was one of the first tools that allowed our team to work remotely with ease, which was highly valuable. The setup process was very easy even from the start, and once on an enterprise level, sharing and collaborating became quite straightforward. Miro's simplicity stands out; features like Post-it notes, shapes for creating flows, and pre-built templates for journey maps are incredibly useful. These tools facilitate strategy building, journey mapping, and cross-functional collaboration with team members from product management, engineering, marketing, and sales, etc. Additionally, Miro serves as a crucial part of our discovery process, creating a collaborative environment where everyone, regardless of their expertise, can participate by sharing their ideas through Post-it notes or contributing content. The platform acts as a single source of truth, helping to arrange and browse through research visually, which is extremely valuable to our workflow. These aspects continually enhance our productivity and creativity as a team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the inability to efficiently copy and paste designs from Figma into Miro problematic. This limitation in integration disrupts my workflow, as I need to manually upload images, which is not as seamless as transferring designs directly. The lack of this feature is significant enough that it might lead us to consider switching to FigJam, which offers a more cohesive experience. I also find the way boards are organized to be cumbersome. Perhaps we need an Ops person to do some housekeeping, but in a large org, it is sometimes difficult to find files.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Miro establishes a single source of truth, simplifying collaboration and allowing anyone to contribute, regardless of design expertise, enhancing our discovery process.

Fantastic Templates & Easy to Use, But Frame Selection Can Be Tricky

  • October 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Great range of templates. Embedded activity mode for Google meet calls. Its very simple to use
What do you dislike about the product?
I sometimes find i don't know what will be selected/moved when I try and move stuff inside frames
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its a central location for all visual/graphical content and workshop exercises. Its quite nice to be able to dump everything for a given project on one board and not have to jump around between different tabs/documents.

Its a great colalboration tool for a mostly remote team

Essential for Remote Team Collaboration and Brainstorming

  • October 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro makes it easier for me to collaborate with my team. Since everyone on my team works from home, it used to be difficult for us to work together on designing solutions. I use Miro to brainstorm ideas and create diagrams collaboratively with my team while everyone is working from home.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven’t found anything I don’t like yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps solve the problem of remote collaboration in my team. Since everyone works from home, it used to be difficult for us to brainstorm, design solutions, and visualize ideas together. With Miro, we can easily share ideas in real time, create diagrams collaboratively, and stay aligned on projects. It makes teamwork smoother, more interactive, and much more productive

Flexible, always evolving and great collaborative tool

  • October 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Miro every week and it has truly transformed the way I approach workflow mapping and planning visualization. I appreciate that there are constantly new features being introduced, each one enhancing its capabilities or making processes more efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think Miro would really benefit from performance improvements. It works well enough with smaller boards, but when collaborating with larger teams, the boards can become massive and performance often suffers, making it hard to manage. I also notice that there is a steep initial learning curve, as it can be difficult to figure out what options are available and where to locate them. However, once you get the basics down, this becomes less of a problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool addresses the challenge of quickly iterating on resource allocation and workflow creation, mind mapping and more. While it's possible to do this on paper, moving elements around is difficult unless you use post-its, which can take up a lot of space. There are other online tools available, but they often lack the flexibility and quality of life features that this one provides. It also solves the collaboration challenges that emerged with the shift to remote work. With Miro, teams can easily collaborate in real time or asynchronously, regardless of their location.
